2: Chapter 2 Hungry, so hungry!
"Not enough to eat, not enough to eat!!!"
Main Body had been driven to the brink of insanity by the pangs of hunger.
Millions of Cheng Yus Clones had devoured seven Ork vanguard squads, crushing and sucking even the bones clean, yet more of the Cheng Yus were still starving, not having even managed to lick a drop of blood.
New memories were transmitted over.
Some of the Cheng Yus had eaten the brains of the Orks, and after digesting them, they obtained some fragmented memories from their opponents.
"Hahaha... there is more food, and there are battle starships!"
Main Body immediately began issuing commands, and all clones moved toward the location of the starships at once.
Do not worry about any cost; eat them and seize the starships.
Another three Terra standard hours passed, and the number of Cheng Yus had reached forty million.
This was only because a portion had died due to various accidents along the way; otherwise, the total number would have been much higher.
The death world was full of dangers everywhere, hiding various alien creatures or the secret lairs of some Eldar pirates.
However, these dangers... were all eaten.
Because of this, Cheng Yu also gained some knowledge about aliens, as well as technical common sense regarding space travel.
To facilitate management, he divided his forty million clones into ten army groups, forming an iron encirclement around the Orks' battle starships.
What Cheng Yu worried about most now was that the Orks would escape. If that happened, on this desolate death planet... would he really have to resort to eating himself?
Warlord Oguluk certainly knew how many enemies he had; his Mekboys had already scouted the situation very clearly using drones.
However, Warlord Oguluk was not afraid in the slightest; what was the use of having large numbers?
The equipment level of these cloned humies was almost zero.
The vast majority of them didn't even have clothes, using only acrylic rain tarps to cover their private parts.
The possession rate of cold weapons was less than one percent, and there were almost no firearms. Although there were a few crude combat vehicles from space pirates, the opponent didn't seem prepared to use them, instead moving these items away from the war zone as if they were precious treasures.
Above the battlefield, smoke and dust billowed.
Cheng Yu's First Army Group had already made contact with the enemy.
"WAGHHHH!!!"
"Food!!!"
The scene was simply a one-sided slaughter by the Orks.
The enemy had already analyzed the fighting style of the cloned humies from previous recordings, so they did not engage in melee combat with the Cheng Yus at all.
Instead, they drove various bizarre tanks to ram directly into the Cheng Yu legions, with all sorts of big dakka and small dakka thundering, reaping the lives of the Cheng Yus like mowing grass.
The first wave of the Ork tank company's assault gouged through the formation of the First Army Group like a wedge.
If it were a normal army, even if they hadn't routed, they would be trying to find a way to retreat by now.
But the Cheng Yus were not a normal army; they completely ignored their own casualties and continued to charge toward the starships.
The command from the original body was only one thing: eat them and seize the starships.
As for those iron shells... let the following army groups gnaw on them.
"What kind of creatures are they?!"
Warlord Oguluk observed the battlefield through binoculars and witnessed with his own eyes that some enemies were still charging forward despite having no heads.
Although they wouldn't last long before collapsing.
Soon... the Second Army Group and the Third Army Group also engaged the Ork army from other directions.
Warlord Oguluk's idea was to first crush the enemy's vanguard with absolute superiority and dampen the enemy's fearless spirit.
Relying on the firepower advantage of the starships themselves, he would focus on defense first and then fight; even if the enemy surrounded them thousands of times over, as long as they held the starships, they could strike from the center.
However... the number of enemies was simply too high.
Even though tens of thousands of enemies were reaped like grass, those corpses were quickly submerged by even more enemies, to the point that his own tank companies were completely invisible.
The Cheng Yu Fourth Army Group, which was following behind the First Army Group, couldn't squeeze in, so they started gnawing on these iron turtles.
The scene... was like ants devouring a praying mantis; although the mantis resisted fiercely, it was covered in dense clusters of ants, making one's scalp tingle.
An Ork boy lifted the tank hatch, wanting to get out for close-quarters combat, because the tank tracks were completely jammed in the corpses and couldn't move.
As soon as the Ork boy poked his head out, a starving Cheng Yu Clone bit his throat.
Smelling the scent of blood, more Cheng Yus climbed onto the tank, crazily fighting over the Ork's head, and soon ripped the Ork boy's head off completely through pulling and biting.
Falling back into the tank cabin was only the Ork's headless corpse.
The Gretchin in the cabin were scared out of their minds, firing desperately toward the top of the hatch.
However... the Cheng Yus had already crawled in like zombies.
At the edge of the battlefield, Main Body rubbed his temples.
He would also feel pain when his clones were killed, crushed, or blown apart by ship cannons.
But the pain of those thousands or tens of thousands of clones, compared to the hunger of tens of millions of clones, was almost imperceptible.
As the original body, he certainly had privileges.
He did not eat raw food; instead, some clones roasted Ork thigh meat and brought it to him.
He even had a set of silver tableware from the Eldar pirates.
Main Body wrapped the acrylic rain tarp around his neck as a scarf and began to elegantly taste the fully cooked Ork thigh meat.
It was disgusting... like moldy seaweed.
Fortunately, there was half a bottle of captured rum to help wash this pile of meat down.
I really want to eat beef...
On the battlefield, the Cheng Yu Clones, like a tsunami, had all surged into the Ork defensive lines near the starships.
The Orks could fire ten shots, twenty shots, thirty shots... and then they would be squeezed to death alive by the Cheng Yus.
Not killed or bitten to death, but trampled... squeezed to death alive, or trampled to death.
Filling the mountains and plains, covering every valley, dense and blocking out the sky, the enemies had absolutely no tactics; they were just pushing and squeezing forward hard.
Main Body was too afraid that they would... escape.
He had to board the starships; even if only one clone made it up, one was enough.
"Kill, kill!" Warlord Oguluk had gone berserk with killing.
Warlord Oguluk's physique was huge, about three meters tall, and extremely robust; any Cheng Yu that got close to Warlord Oguluk would be killed by him immediately.
But it was meaningless; it was all meaningless.
The Ork boys were routing... they no longer listened to Warlord Oguluk's orders, and Warlord Oguluk had no time to issue orders anyway.
The boys were retreating to defend the starships, wanting to rely on the defensive facilities inside the starships to hold out in urban combat, or even... to escape.
No Ork boy dared to suggest the words "retreat," or they would be torn apart by other Orks; Orks do not run away, that is not WAGHHHH at all.
"Finally made it up!"
Main Body was overjoyed; the vanguard of the First Army Group had already climbed onto the starships by forming human ladders and had eaten the heads of several Mekboys.
The internal structure of the starship was now clear...
