110: Chapter 110 Outpost Negotiations

While Main Body was discussing his own modification details with Archmagos Ferrus of the Adeptus Mechanicus.

At the frontier outpost of Warp, the plenipotentiary representative of the Old God Nurgle arrived.

"Attention everyone, fall in, fire a salute!"

Three rows of honor guards, each consisting of thirteen clone soldiers wielding Necron weapons, fired into the sky.

The Necron disintegration beams tore through the treacherous sky of Warp, eventually exploding into brilliant daylight fireworks at the interface between the material and non-material realms.

The plenipotentiary representative sent by Lord Nurgle to sign the cooperation treaty was not one of those sanity-draining Greater Daemons, but an old acquaintance of the Aeldari, Isha, the Goddess of Life and Harvest.

Truly worthy of the All-Loving Grandfather; considering the acceptance level of this nascent human regime, he had specially dispatched the being among his subordinates who most fit human aesthetics.

"My Lady Envoy, please!" Overachiever Cheng Yu didn't recognize this Isha, only feeling it was some kind of unfathomable cognitive filter—this was like winking at a blind man.

Goddess Isha nodded slightly. She had long heard of this so-called clone empire in the Garden of Nurgle. Seeing it today... it didn't look like anything special, and it wasn't like the rumors spread by the Nurglings... vicious, cannibalistic, or eager to attack and kill every living thing they saw.

Most of the details of the contract had already been determined during previous rounds of negotiations. The most important clause was that Cheng Yu would entrust the safety of all his progeny to the Grandfather, and these children would henceforth address the Grandfather as "Uncle."

In return, the dark side of all territories under the jurisdiction of Main Body—that is, the areas beneath the ground—would belong entirely to the Grandfather. The Grandfather and his subordinates could freely thrive there, while the surface inhabitants and the underground inhabitants would not infringe upon or interfere with each other.

At the same time, the Grandfather guaranteed not to unleash plagues within the territories of the Cheng Yu Empire, and the Cheng Yu Empire guaranteed not to dump any kind of antibiotics into the sewers, especially broad-spectrum antibiotics like penicillin and tetracycline.

Isha looked at the treaty, saw it was about the same as what the Grandfather had instructed her before coming, and signed it without much thought.

Overachiever Cheng Yu also signed on behalf of the empire as a temporary counselor minister.

Signing the treaty was only the first step; the next step was for both sides to negotiate how to deal with the counterattack from Slaanesh.

Although Main Body had never agreed with Slaanesh that their cooperation had any exclusivity.

But as everyone knew, Lord Slaanesh was never a broad-minded character.

Isha first had a cordial and friendly exchange with Overachiever Cheng Yu, sincerely and extensively exchanging opinions on some issues of mutual concern.

At the same time, she expressed the Grandfather's concerns: Slaanesh's forces had long since deeply infiltrated every aspect of the Cheng Yu Empire. If these Warp creatures were to launch an attack, could your country withstand it?

Overachiever Cheng Yu stated that his side was fully prepared. If the other party could peacefully accept the empire's policy changes, then everything was negotiable. If they insisted on doing things that would make all three parties unhappy, then all responsibility would be borne by the party that failed to remain calm and restrained first.

Since things had been said to this point, Isha couldn't say much more.

The negotiations concluded, and the next item was the celebratory banquet.

Considering the interests of the Grandfather's subordinates, the Cheng Yu Empire had prepared thirty large barrels of exquisitely crafted and precious slop to entertain them.

Those accompanying Greater Daemons of Nurgle were indeed very happy, eating until they were bloated and greasy, with maggots splashing everywhere.

Only Goddess Isha looked uninterested, instead showing more interest in the red wine in Overachiever Cheng Yu's hand.

"Pour wine for our distinguished guest." Overachiever Cheng Yu commanded.

Knife Cheng, serving as temporary banquet staff, hurriedly took a mouthful of red wine into his mouth and then spat it into Isha's wine glass.

These details at the banquet were all researched, designed, and urgently trained by the empire's specialized personnel. It was not that Knife Cheng had suddenly gone crazy; he was doing exactly as required, with the goal of giving Lord Nurgle's subordinates a feeling of being at home.

Isha's fair cheeks turned blue and purple with anger, which left Knife Cheng scratching his head in confusion. Why didn't the respected Nurgle envoy like my mouth-chewed wine? Was I not sloppy enough? Sigh, if I had known, I should have gone to help in the kitchen; it would have been better to let Deadly Living Monkey handle the reception.

Goddess Isha could guess what was going on, and waved her hand to dismiss those embarrassing Nurglings.

It seemed the envoy was full and ready for the next program.

The next program was called "The Sixty-Four Billion Polyphony of Life," a small song and dance drama temporarily rehearsed, telling the story of how a single-celled organism, through fission, reproduction, and forming alliances, eventually evolved into the super-giant creature Ululu that spanned the universe.

The Nurglings didn't understand it but were very excited; the Greater Daemons of Nurgle watched with great emotion, one after another expressing their gratitude for the Cheng Yu Empire's thoughtful hospitality. For a moment, the venue was filled with spring blossoms, and maggots hatched into flies.

"Very good, very good, this envoy is deeply moved." Goddess Isha clapped mechanically.
