11: Chapter 11 Job Change Effects
Fiana was stunned by Loren's words. She turned her head, staring at him with eyes like knives, her brows slightly furrowed.
How could she not know that the Bauhinia Family possessed the two Rare Classes of Bloody Assassin and Shadow Thief?
As far as she knew, the Bauhinia Family only had two methods for Rare Class advancement; one was for a warrior-type class, and the other was the class she had advanced to—Snow Dance Swordsman.
Advancing to a Rare Class was not something one could do casually; it required extremely harsh conditions. Out of the two hundred or so people who had attempted the Snow Dance Swordsman advancement with her, only twelve had succeeded in the end.
The elimination rate was undeniably high.
Could this Bronze Rank Thief really advance to a Rare Class?
Seeming to notice Fiana's confusion, Loren smiled.
"This was a fortuitous opportunity I obtained by chance, so it's normal that you don't know about it."
Fiana's expression turned cold. She snorted and didn't say anything more.
Everyone has secrets, and since Loren put it that way, it wasn't appropriate for her to ask further.
Arnold, who was listening from the side, didn't care about all that; his eyes were filled with longing.
"Lord Loren, if it's possible, I am willing to advance to Shadow Thief..."
Hearing this, Loren found it somewhat amusing. The guy was clever, but he was clearly not someone who feared no death; the Bloody Assassin class sounded like one that walked on the edge of death.
Fortunately, he only needed Arnold to gather intelligence and didn't expect him to go to the battlefield.
"Kneel. I shall bestow power upon you."
Arnold nodded excitedly, immediately kneeling on one knee before Loren, looking at him full of anticipation.
Fiana, with her cold temperament, was stunned at the sight. Kneel? Bestow power??
Weren't Rare Classes supposed to be trained for through painstaking effort bit by bit?
This can be bestowed? Is this not a joke??
Just as she was speechless and even suspecting that Loren had been tricked by someone.
She saw Loren place his palm on Arnold's head, and then a chaotic light of mixed colors erupted from his hand, surging directly into Arnold's body.
Fiana: ???
What the hell is this?
At that moment, Arnold only felt countless pieces of information surging into his mind: how to hide his figure, how to use his own power, how to conceal his presence, how to track...
The relevant techniques for the Shadow Thief were rapidly absorbed by him, and he vaguely felt as if he had been training in some place for countless years.
Subsequently, the presence Arnold emitted began to change gradually, from imposing at the beginning to slowly dissipating, and finally, he lost his presence entirely.
If one couldn't see him with the naked eye, it would be impossible to even sense Arnold's existence.
Fiana's originally indifferent face was now full of astonishment. Those captivating blue eyes stared fixedly at Arnold, her mind filled with disbelief.
This, how is this possible?!
A Rare Class can actually be directly instilled into someone else??
She felt as if the worldview and understanding she had built over more than twenty years were collapsing.
Seeing Loren, who was half-closing his eyes and seemed not to think this matter was incredible at all, she was even more bewildered.
She must have been seeing things... It must be!
After a while, looking at Arnold, who had his eyes tightly shut, Loren slowly withdrew his hand.
Seeing Fiana, who was full of astonishment, out of the corner of his eye, he immediately revealed a faint smile.
"Surprised?"
Fiana furrowed her brows, her expression returning to its cold state, and she did not speak to answer.
If being able to directly make someone advance to a Rare Class wasn't enough to be surprising, then what could be?!
This was something that even Transcendent, or even Legendary powerhouses, couldn't do!
Humph, this guy is definitely here to annoy her!!
About ten minutes later, Arnold slowly woke up.
The moment this thin Thief opened his eyes, his body bent sharply, his gaze became as sharp as a leopard's, and the presence on his body instantly vanished without a trace.
Upon seeing Loren standing by the window, his expression softened, he smiled again, and then stepped forward, shouting excitedly.
"Lord Loren, thank you for your grace. I have mastered the techniques of the Shadow Thief!
You are truly too great. I swear, I have never seen such a special method of class advancement!!
Praise be to you! My Lord, you are more dazzling than the sun in the sky!
Your radiance will shine upon the earth, you..."
Flattery, thick enough to make one's skin crawl, poured out of Arnold's mouth like it was free, making the corners of Loren's mouth twitch.
It was too direct; couldn't he be a bit more subtle?
Eye of Truth activated.
Arnold
Level: Bronze Low-rank
Bloodline: Human Bloodline (Unawakened)
Class: Shadow Thief (B- grade), Class Skill: Invisibility (B grade), allows one to become completely invisible. Once strength is raised to Platinum Rank, Invisibility will allow one to become ethereal and pass through walls.
Loyalty: 89
Description: A human with decent Thief talent; perhaps he can steal something while others are sleeping.
Loren nodded slightly as he looked at Arnold's attributes.
After advancing to a Rare Class, he had directly obtained a B-grade special skill; it was no wonder Rare Classes were so highly sought after.
Arnold said excitedly, "Lord Loren, I have obtained a powerful Invisibility skill that can completely conceal my presence."
After speaking, he moved his body slightly, a special power wrapped around his entire body, and then, under Loren's gaze, he vanished into thin air within the room.
Fiana, who was watching coldly from the side, narrowed her eyes at the sight, her tone carrying a hint of amazement.
"A skill of a Platinum Rank Thief? Advanced Invisibility?"
The Invisibility of low-level Thieves is a joke; they can only hide their figures with the help of shadows. Only upon reaching the Platinum Rank can one obtain true Invisibility, completely concealing one's figure.
But Arnold is only at Bronze Low-rank now; the gap between him and Platinum is not insignificant.
To be able to master such high-level Invisibility at this level, he is truly worthy of being a Rare Class.
But because of this, the emotions in Fiana's heart were even more strange. Looking at the calm Loren, she couldn't describe what she was feeling.
Think of herself; in order to advance to a Rare Class, she had spent years of bitter training day and night, enduring endless torture and setbacks, before finally succeeding in the advancement.
Now, a small Thief could obtain a Rare Class easily just because he submitted to Loren, and the process of advancement was so effortless.
This contrast was too sharp.
Fiana took a few deep breaths, but could not suppress the emotions in her heart, looking at the heroic and extraordinary Loren with extremely complex feelings.
Just how many more secrets is this guy hiding?
