3: Chapter 3 Stockpiling Supplies 1

Ye Qingqing looked at Ah Huang with great joy, hugging him tightly and showering him with kisses: “Ah Huang, you truly are my lucky puppy!”

Although Ah Huang looked bewildered, seeing Ye Qingqing so happy and not blaming him, he also broke into a puppy smile.

Ye Qingqing knew this wasn't a good place to check her space, but she was eager to try, holding the unfinished milk tea.

Just as she was wondering how to put the milk tea in, Ye Qingqing suddenly thought to herself, “Go in.”

Immediately after, the milk tea that was just in Ye Qingqing’s hand instantly vanished from the car. Ye Qingqing’s consciousness scanned her space and found the milk tea placed perfectly in the center of the space’s room.

Excitement gleamed in Ye Qingqing's eyes. With the space, it meant she could stockpile even more supplies.

So, she immediately drove to the nearest grain wholesale market to stock up on staple foods.

However, on the way, she suddenly realized she had no place to put them. So, she took out the phone number she got from the housing agent earlier and rented a Warehouse, with a minimum rental period of 3 months.

Ye Qingqing chose a Warehouse closest to the large penthouse apartment on the top floor. She also asked Wang Hai to guard it and receive the goods, promising Wang Hai a runner's fee.

Wang Hai, with his timid nature, initially refused, but the fat man immediately slapped Wang Hai after hearing it.

“You little brat, it’s a big client! A big client, do you understand?! If I tell you to go, then go!”

Just like that, Ye Qingqing not only secured a Warehouse but also arranged for someone to receive the goods.

Upon arriving at the grain wholesale market, Ye Qingqing first headed straight for staple foods.

She bought 200 bags of 5-jin rice, 200 bags of 50-jin flour, and noodles by the jin, even 500 jin each of rice vermicelli and sweet potato vermicelli.

After buying those, she also purchased cooking oil, peanut oil, and corn oil, all in the largest barrel sizes, buying 20 barrels.

After she finished buying these, the proprietress saw Ye Qingqing looked like she was stocking up for a business and asked.

“Miss, are you buying so much to open a supermarket?”

Ye Qingqing looked at the proprietress, a little idea forming in her mind, and she curved her lips.

“Yes, my family is opening a supermarket. My elders are training me to do the purchasing. I wonder if you, proprietress, know any reliable vendors? I still have a lot to buy—grains, vegetables, meat, eggs, and milk, I need to buy a lot of all of them.”

The proprietress’s eyes lit up immediately. She slapped her thigh and exclaimed.

“Ask me, you’ve certainly asked the right person! Miss, my relatives are all in this business. If you trust me, I’ll arrange everything perfectly for you!”

Before Ye Qingqing could refuse, the proprietress immediately picked up her phone and started making calls.

“Brother-in-law, it’s me, Song Meimei! I have a big client here, are you up for it?!”

Ye Qingqing’s mouth twitched. Well, that works. Food was taken care of, and she didn't even have to look for it herself.

After Song Meimei finished her call, her gaze towards Ye Qingqing changed, as if she was afraid Ye Qingqing would run away.

However, when Ye Qingqing saw the basket of vegetables, she couldn't help but react, because when Ye Qingqing got out of the car at the wholesale market, she had taken out the cup of milk tea from her space.

The ice cubes inside hadn't even melted, which meant that this space could preserve freshness!

Whatever went in came out exactly the same!

So, at this moment, Ye Qingqing’s eyes were shining when she saw the baskets of green leafy vegetables.

They even had dew on them! They were incredibly fresh!

In the Post-Apocalyptic World, let alone green leafy vegetables, even food was rare, but there were no green leafy vegetables.

People lacked vitamins, and going to the bathroom became a huge problem.

Often, they couldn't go to the bathroom for many days; not going was uncomfortable, but going made them hungry.

So, it was a vicious cycle, and in the Post-Apocalyptic World, going to the bathroom was also very unsafe.

The entire human society seemed to have reverted to a primitive state.

Therefore, at this moment, when Ye Qingqing saw the green leafy vegetables, it was like returning to her intimate home.

Radishes, cabbages, green beans, eggplants, winter melons, tomatoes, potatoes, sweet potatoes...

Ye Qingqing felt like she was collecting everything in a snakeskin bag, buying 50 jin of each type of vegetable.

Besides vegetables, green onions, ginger, and garlic were also indispensable, each 10 jin.

And seasonings, like star anise, fennel, soy sauce, vinegar, salt, chicken bouillon, MSG... all bought in quantities of 10.

Among them, salt was bought the most, because the human body cannot lack salt. In the Post-Apocalyptic World, a packet of salt could even buy a person, or rather, people were worth less than salt.

Next were fruits, all that were currently available on the market.

Simple apples, bananas, pears, pineapples, grapes, lychees... 50 jin of each fruit.

Ye Qingqing loved fruits very much, and she didn't know if these fruits would still exist after the Post-Apocalyptic World, so Ye Qingqing wanted to buy more now.

White sugar was a strategic material, so not much was bought, but it was enough. Besides white sugar, Ye Qingqing also bought brown sugar, maple syrup, and rock sugar, each 50 jin.

When Song Meimei watched Ye Qingqing wave her small hand, as if commanding the world, putting all the supplies into her bag, Song Meimei’s face broke into a wide smile.

Not just Song Meimei, but also Song Meimei's big brother-in-law, second cousin, third granduncle, fourth aunt's husband...

In fact, by the time Ye Qingqing paid the deposit, the goods were already loaded onto the truck, ready for delivery.

Seeing this, Ye Qingqing didn't even wait for the goods to arrive; she quickly settled the remaining balance.

She didn't realize it until she calculated, and the total was a shocking 50,000 yuan for such a simple shopping trip.

Ye Qingqing couldn't help but feel a pang of heartache. In this day and age, money was still not worth much; in fact, Ye Qingqing felt that it couldn't buy many things at all.

After buying the most basic rice, flour, grains, oil, and vegetables, Ye Qingqing still needed to buy some semi-finished products. These were the most convenient foods when it was inconvenient to cook in the Post-Apocalyptic World.

Ye Qingqing watched Song Meimei counting money, thinking that over 50,000 had been rounded down, so Ye Qingqing felt that this person was decent at business and hadn't cheated her too much, so she asked.

“Sister Song, do you know anyone who sells semi-finished products?”

Song Meimei couldn't immediately understand Ye Qingqing's words and asked, “Miss, what are semi-finished products?”

“Like steamed buns and mantou.”

Upon hearing Ye Qingqing’s words, Song Meimei’s eyes immediately lit up, and she picked up her phone again to make a series of calls to her relatives.

Baozi, mantou, red bean buns, twisted rolls, purple sweet potato buns, shaomai, brown sugar mantou...

She ordered 10 boxes of each, followed by 100 boxes each of frozen dumplings, frozen wontons, frozen wontons, and frozen tangyuan.

After buying those, she even bought out the goods from one of Song Meimei’s supermarkets.

Ye Qingqing paid Song Meimei in full for everything, including snacks like melon seeds and peanuts, dried goods, roasted goods, and so on. This saved Ye Qingqing from having to go to each store individually.
