5: Chapter 5: The Supplies Were Swallowed

Ye Qingqing looked up at the sky and let out a long sigh, then immediately stored the perishable vegetables inside.

The vegetables took up a lot of space. Ye Qingqing filled one entire room plus half the living room, and even then, she had to cram everything in tightly.

After storing some rice, flour, cooking oil, and other staples into the space, the entire area was completely packed full. Even the bathroom inside the space was stuffed.

Just as Ye Qingqing was on the verge of tears, staring at the supplies in front of her in distress, she suddenly found she could no longer access the space.

It was as if the entire space was enveloped in a layer of gray mist, blocking Ye Qingqing out.

"Oh no! The supplies were swallowed!" That was Ye Qingqing's first thought. Frantically, she began pacing in circles inside the Warehouse, her consciousness continuously trying to probe the space's interior, but a persistent layer of gray mist shrouded her vision.

"Woof!" Ah Huang was also anxious beside her. He didn't know why Ye Qingqing was so frantic, but he got worked up along with her. As Ye Qingqing paced in circles on the spot, Ah Huang followed right behind her, also turning in circles.

Suddenly!

The layer of gray mist in Ye Qingqing's vision vanished. The moment the mist disappeared, Ye Qingqing immediately tried to enter the space.

When Ye Qingqing had this intention, she felt her body being sucked into a spatial tunnel. As the scene before her eyes changed, in the next instant, she was inside the space.

Ye Qingqing saw a gray, floating timer above her head. It started counting down the second she entered: 29:03, 29:02, 29:01...

Ye Qingqing immediately realized that entering this space was timed, with only three minutes. Not knowing what would happen afterward, she wasted no time and immediately began exploring the space.

To her surprise, Ye Qingqing discovered that all the supplies she had previously stored were still there. However, the area of the space had expanded. It was still the same three-bedroom layout, but the square footage of those rooms had increased.

Originally only a little over 10 square meters, it had now directly doubled in size!

Moreover, the space now had running water and electricity!

When Ye Qingqing felt the water and electricity in the space's bathroom, she was so overjoyed she nearly jumped for joy. She cupped some water in her hands and took a sip—it was incredibly sweet and clear!

One must understand, in the Post-Apocalyptic World, everything is scarce, and clean water is especially non-existent. So, having water in this space absolutely thrilled Ye Qingqing.

However, while Ye Qingqing was excitedly exploring every corner of the space, Ah Huang outside was frantic, practically hopping with anxiety.

Ah Huang suddenly saw Ye Qingqing vanish into thin air, which scared the dog immensely. Ah Huang was so startled he yelped and jumped on the spot. After recovering slightly, he began sprinting around the entire Warehouse, searching everywhere for Ye Qingqing.

Anxious, Ah Huang barked wildly with his mouth wide open. Just as Ye Qingqing was exiting the space, she happened to run into Ah Huang who was in the middle of his Warehouse parkour.

The moment Ah Huang saw Ye Qingqing's figure reappear, he couldn't stop his legs in time, and his entire dog body crashed right into her.

Seeing the situation, Ye Qingqing immediately ducked back into the space, then re-emerged the next second, narrowly avoiding Ah Huang's collision.

This left Ah Huang even more confused. In fact, the second time he saw Ye Qingqing's figure appear, the poor dog was trembling all over with fright.

Seeing this, Ye Qingqing couldn't help but find it a little funny.

She crouched down and made a 'come here' gesture towards Ah Huang. Although Ah Huang was terrified, since it was Ye Qingqing, he still trembled as he shuffled in her direction.

As Ah Huang's head nuzzled against Ye Qingqing, a slight smile curled at the corner of her mouth.

Immediately after, she brought Ah Huang into the space with her.

When Ah Huang saw the surroundings change yet again, his entire body shook even more violently.

Witnessing this scene, Ye Qingqing burst out laughing: "Hahaha, Ah Huang, you're such a scaredy-cat."

However, in the very next second, Ye Qingqing's smile vanished. She suddenly remembered: if Ah Huang was this timid, how terrified must he have been in her previous life when he was killed...

Ye Qingqing suddenly felt terribly sorry for Ah Huang. She shouldn't have teased him like that. So, she crouched down again and gently stroked Ah Huang's back with her hand.

"Good dog, it's okay, don't be scared, don't be scared."

Listening to Ye Qingqing's words, Ah Huang whimpered but kept burrowing his head into her embrace.

But before Ye Qingqing could fully comfort Ah Huang, the space's time limit was up, and she was immediately ejected from the space.

"That's not right, I clearly remember there were over 2 minutes left!"

"I was barely in there for any time at all!"

Ye Qingqing distinctly remembered she hadn't stayed inside for long. But now, as the space's image appeared before her eyes again, the timer at the top had changed to 0:00.

Ye Qingqing estimated this was because she had brought Ah Huang inside with her.

"It seems this space can accommodate other living creatures, but the time is restricted," Ye Qingqing murmured to herself.

However, Ye Qingqing didn't have much time to ponder the space's timer right now. After storing all the remaining supplies from the Warehouse into the space, she was astonished to find there was still plenty of room left.

In fact, Ye Qingqing had a bold speculation: could it be that this space grows larger as more supplies are stored inside?

But this question would remain unanswered for now. She would only know what the space would do next when it was once again filled to capacity with supplies.

After finishing storing everything, Ye Qingqing took Ah Huang and left the Warehouse directly, heading straight for the nearest pet-friendly hotel. Originally, she had considered going to her newly rented apartment, but then thought a hotel would be more convenient.

The moment she checked into the hotel, Ye Qingqing ordered a lavish dinner for herself and Ah Huang, having it delivered directly to the room. It was only then that she remembered Ah Huang hadn't eaten anything all day...

Thinking of this, Ye Qingqing suddenly felt she had been rather negligent. Perhaps it was because she hadn't had Ah Huang by her side for so long that she forgot. And today, she had been so busy buying supplies. With this in mind, Ye Qingqing picked up her phone.

She looked up the nearest wholesale market for pet supplies.

She planned to head there first thing tomorrow morning and get Ah Huang completely sorted out. Now that Ye Qingqing had money, as her dog, Ah Huang would also eat well and live comfortably in the Post-Apocalyptic World.

The moment the hotel meal arrived, Ye Qingqing felt her stomach growl with hunger again. This was typical for someone who had struggled for years in the Post-Apocalyptic World—the sight of food made it impossible to walk away. Even though, given her current stomach capacity, it was impossible for her to eat that much food at once.

But due to psychological reasons, Ye Qingqing still wanted to eat it.

The instant Ah Huang saw the dog food, drool immediately dripped onto the floor.

Seeing this, Ye Qingqing immediately gave the command: "Eat."
