289: Your dad has osteoporosis; he could break his leg with just a twist!

Ye Chen's eyes flickered, and he gestured for Jessica and Night Owl to be silent.

Then, his figure blurred, and he flashed into the main cabin.

The drawer of the bedside table was half-open; a satellite phone was vibrating inside, its screen flickering with a faint light.

Ye Chen reached out, picked it up, pressed the answer button, and held it to his ear.

He didn't speak immediately.

A male voice came from the other end of the line.

"The seagull returns to the nest."

The first half of the code right off the bat?

The corners of Ye Chen's mouth curled up. His Adam's apple moved, and when he spoke again, his voice had become exactly the same as Maxim's: "The tide has arrived."

The person on the other end seemed to heave a sigh of relief before saying,

"The situation has changed. The Hall Master and the others have completed their operation smoothly and have arrived early at the outskirts of the designated sea area."

"How are things on your end? Start the extraction procedure immediately!"

Ye Chen mimicked Maxim's likely reaction and spoke in surprise.

"Early? Understood!"

"Everything is in place on my end, and I'm ready to extract at any time."

"Send the coordinates over; I guarantee I'll carry out the extraction clearly and distinctly."

The person on the other end didn't doubt him at all and quickly rattled off a string of latitude and longitude coordinates, then said in a deep voice, "The Hall Master doesn't like to wait. Within half an hour, I must see your boat appear at the coordinates. Don't mess this up!"

"Rest assured," Ye Chen replied.

"Beep... beep... beep..."

The call was hung up decisively.

Ye Chen put down the satellite phone, the mimicked expression on his face instantly fading, returning to his usual indifference.

He turned and walked out of the cabin, arriving on the deck.

Jessica and Night Owl were waiting there, their beautiful eyes fixed on him without blinking, filled with astonishment.

Especially Night Owl, whose small mouth was slightly agape, as if she were seeing Ye Chen for the first time: "You... how did you do that with your voice just now?"

"I just mimicked it," Ye Chen said nonchalantly. "It's not really a special skill. I once saw a big fat man mimic a loli voice and fool quite a lot of people!"

Jessica shook her head.

"To mimic a voice to that extent, even the tone and rhythm were exactly the same..."

"Even the most professional people aren't as professional as you."

"Just how many more skills do you have that we don't know about?"

That's right. Many people can disguise their voices, but she was a killer, an absolute stickler for detail.

Yet the words Ye Chen had just spoken were truly identical to Maxim's; it was impossible to tell them apart...

Ye Chen casually tossed the satellite phone to Jessica and smiled indifferently.

"If you want to understand me, you'll learn in time."

"The most urgent task now..."

"We need to start our operation."

The two women looked at each other and nodded.

...

Meanwhile, on that seemingly ordinary medium-sized ferry.

On the top deck, a tall man wearing a long black trench coat stood with his hands behind his back, wearing a pure white mask on his face, revealing only a pair of eyes as deep as a cold pool.

He was the Black Prison Hall Master, Gongsun Long.

The sea wind whipped against his coat, but he remained motionless, as if he had merged with the ferry that rose and fell with the waves beneath his feet.

A woman wearing a plain long dress, with a beautiful face but brows knit with deep resentment, leaned gently against his side, snuggling in his arms.

She was Wang Xuerou, Wang Zhenyue's daughter and Gongsun Long's wife.

"Long..."

Wang Xuerou looked up at the man, her voice choked with hatred.

"This time, you must make sure that bastard Ye Chen cannot recover."

"I want to use his head to pay tribute to my father and to my entire Wang Family!"

Her fingernails dug deeply into her palms, but she felt no pain, only the flames of revenge burning.

Gongsun Long lowered his head, his gaze from behind the mask falling on the woman's face, and he reached out to gently stroke her hair.

"Rest assured."

"The secret order has been issued, and the Black Prison Elites are all deployed."

"Today, he won't be able to escape."

He paused, and the arm holding Wang Xuerou tightened slightly.

"I will personally take his head and let you..."

"Watch it rot before your father's spirit with your own eyes."

Hearing this, tears finally rolled down Wang Xuerou's eyes, not from sadness, but from the excitement that her great revenge was about to be realized.

She nodded heavily and buried her face in Gongsun Long's broad chest.

Just then.

A subordinate dressed in black martial arts attire walked quickly onto the deck, knelt on one knee three steps behind Gongsun Long, and reported respectfully: "Hall Master! The extraction yacht has appeared and is approaching us at full speed. Maxim confirms everything is normal!"

Gongsun Long did not look back, only nodded slightly.

His gaze crossed the sea and landed on the white luxury yacht cutting through the azure waves.

"Pass the order down, prepare to board."

"Yes!" The subordinate accepted the order and hurried away to make arrangements.

The ferry slightly adjusted its course, pulling up alongside the speeding white yacht.

Sailors threw out ropes to secure the ships and lowered a safety ladder onto the yacht's gunwale.

Everything was ready.

However, strangely...

The yacht's deck was empty. Maxim, who was expected to be there for the extraction, did not appear; there wasn't even a moving shadow to be seen.

On the ferry's deck, the dozen or so Black Prison Elites who had gathered looked at each other with suspicion on their faces.

Logically speaking.

With Maxim coming to approach from the Dragon Kingdom side and the Sima Family helping in secret, it was impossible for any problems to arise.

But why didn't Maxim show himself?

Gongsun Long's brows beneath the mask could not help but furrow slightly.

"Send two people to see what's going on."

A man in black martial arts attire standing at the very front responded without hesitation: "Yes!"

He was agile, quickly descending the safety ladder to the yacht's deck.

Then.

He vigilantly looked around and carefully moved towards the cabin entrance, quickly disappearing from everyone's line of sight.

Time passed second by second.

The sea wind continued to blow, and waves lapped gently against the sides of the ship.

But the man in black who had entered the cabin had vanished like a stone cast into the sea, with not a sound coming from him.

The yacht remained quiet, as if it were a dormant giant beast that had silently opened its jaws.

The expressions of everyone on the ferry changed.

Even Wang Xuerou, who was snuggling in Gongsun Long's arms, sensed that something was wrong, and her eyes narrowed.

Beneath Gongsun Long's mask, his expression sank completely.

He released Wang Xuerou, stepped forward, and locked his gaze firmly on the yacht.

"The person below..."

"Come out."

He could already be certain that the person on the yacht was definitely not Maxim!

Sure enough...

"Bang!!!"

With a loud explosion, the windshield in the front of the yacht shattered instantly!

Countless crystal shards refracted blinding light under the sun, splashing outwards like a rainstorm!

At the same time.

Two dark figures were thrown out as if by an invisible giant force, shot backward from the window, drew two parabolas in the air, and smashed heavily in front of the crowd on the ferry deck!

"Thud!"

"Thud!"

Everyone stared, and their expressions changed instantly!

Because...

It was none other than the companion who had gone down to check, and Maxim who had come to extract them!

The person coming to extract them was dead!

The person sent to check was also dead!

Something had gone wrong!

In an instant.

The dozen or so Black Prison Elites on the ferry deck drew their weapons one after another, the cold glint of blades and the muzzles of guns aimed in unison at the yacht below, filled with murderous intent.

Footsteps came from the entrance of the yacht cabin.

Immediately after.

Three figures emerged one after another and stepped onto the front deck.

The person in the lead was Ye Chen.

He had his hands in his trouser pockets, a harmless smile on his face, looked up at the people on the ferry deck, and whistled.

"Yo, everyone's here."

"Is this formation specifically to welcome me?"

Behind him, Jessica and Night Owl stood on his left and right.

One was charming and lazy.

The other had eyes as cold as a drawn blade.

"Ye Chen?!"

On the ferry, Wang Xuerou recognized Ye Chen immediately. "It's you! How dare you appear in front of me!?"

Hearing this, Ye Chen turned his gaze to her.

"You are Wang Zhenyue's daughter?"

"How dare you even mention my father!?"

Wang Xuerou was trembling all over, her features twisted. "You snapped his neck! You destroyed my Wang Family!!!"

Ye Chen picked at his ear, looking helpless.

"You can't blame me entirely for that."

"Your dad was old, had osteoporosis, and his bones were too brittle."

"I used just a little bit of force, and he fell apart. I was quite surprised too."

"Besides..."

"You know what your Wang Family has done over these years. Didn't they deserve to die?"

"You... you bastard!" Wang Xuerou was furious, trembling with rage. "I'll kill you!!!"

She screamed and lunged straight toward the yacht.
