749: Chapter 749 Being targeted by a gay guy?

Twenty minutes later.

The car sped out of a forest, revealing a plain ahead.

The car's headlights illuminated a tall barbed-wire fence.

The fence was a full three meters high, with coils of sharp, snake-belly shaped razor wire wrapped around the top. Every dozen meters or so stood a concrete pillar, topped with searchlights and surveillance cameras.

The fence extended backward, disappearing into the night, stretching endlessly as far as the eye could see.

Shala stepped on the brakes, and the off-road vehicle came to a stop outside the fence.

"Mr. Ye, we have arrived."

Ye Chen opened his eyes and looked at the barbed-wire fence through the car window.

Behind the fence was a vast, open plaza, and at the end of the plaza stood a dark gray concrete building.

The building's walls were riddled with firing ports. Anti-aircraft radar and close-in weapon systems were mounted on the roof, where several sentries were patrolling.

This was the headquarters of Black Prison.

Ye Chen pushed open the car door and stepped out.

Night Owl followed closely behind, and Yi Yue and Qian Duofu also got out of the car.

Shala sat in the driver's seat, hesitated for a moment, but did not dare to follow.

"Wait here." Ye Chen glanced at him.

Shala looked as if he had been granted an amnesty, nodding frantically.

Ye Chen did not waste any words and walked straight toward the gate.

"Stop!"

A cold, stern voice came from the guard post.

Ye Chen paused, turned his head, and saw two men in black combat uniforms walking out of the guard post.

Both had Western facial features and burly builds, exuding the distinct ruthlessness characteristic of mercenaries.

But their eyes were wrong.

In those eyes, there was a layer of eerie dark red, their pupils slightly distorted, clearly controlled by Mental Power.

The man on the left stepped forward, leveled his rifle, and stared coldly at Ye Chen.

"Who are you? This is private property, leave immediately!"

Ye Chen looked at him and said indifferently, "Jessica is my subordinate. Who do you think I am?"

Both men's pupils constricted simultaneously.

Jessica was the leader of Black Prison.

And this young man before them actually claimed that Jessica was his subordinate?

Then, that would mean this person is...

Suddenly!

The man on the left suddenly reacted. He chambered a round in his rifle and roared at the man on the right, "Sound the alarm!"

The man on the right rushed into the guard post and slammed his hand onto the red button on the wall.

"Woo—"

The alarm sounded in the night sky, and red alarm lights flashed wildly along the barbed-wire fence, casting flickering light over the plaza, which was shrouded in dark clouds.

The sentries on the roof of the headquarters building immediately became alert. The beams of the searchlights swept over simultaneously, illuminating Ye Chen and the others.

The machine gunners on the roof turned their guns toward the gate.

In the plaza, a dozen black figures rushed out from various corners, holding various weapons, and surged toward the gate.

In less than thirty seconds, at least three hundred warriors had gathered inside the gate.

The oppressive feeling was enough to make any normal person's legs go weak.

But Ye Chen did not.

He even smiled.

"Quite a grand welcome."

Night Owl stood behind him, watching her former comrades pointing their guns at her, her fists clenching tighter.

She saw the dark red in their eyes.

Clearly...

They did not recognize her anymore.

In the eyes of these controlled people, she, like Ye Chen, was an enemy.

Qian Duofu's legs could not stop trembling.

Yi Yue stood beside Ye Chen, face slightly pale, but eyes calm.

Yi Yue trusted Ye Chen.

As long as he was there, there was no obstacle they could not overcome.

Inside the gate, a bald man wearing a black combat uniform and sunglasses walked out from the crowd.

The bald man took off his sunglasses, revealing a pair of dark red eyes.

He looked at Ye Chen, a cold sneer tugging at the corners of his mouth.

"You are Ye Chen?"

"Before twelve o'clock, you cannot enter here."

Ye Chen raised an eyebrow: "What? I need your permission to enter the territory of my own organization? Who do you think you are?"

Before he finished speaking.

He lifted his right foot and kicked the bald man in the chest.

"Bang!!!"

The bald man, as if struck by a cannonball, bent into the shape of a shrimp and flew backward.

He knocked five or six other controlled Black Prison warriors into the air, overturned a metal bench in the plaza, and finally slammed into the wall of the headquarters building.

The wall caved in, and cracks spread like spiderwebs in all directions.

The bald man was embedded in the wall, vomiting blood, his eyes rolling back, and he lost consciousness on the spot.

The entire scene fell into dead silence.

Those controlled Black Prison warriors stared blankly at the bald man embedded in the wall, then looked at Ye Chen, the dark red light in their eyes beginning to flicker violently.

Then.

"Roar!!!"

I do not know who was the first to let out a beast-like roar, but more than three hundred Black Prison warriors rushed toward Ye Chen simultaneously.

Gun barrels spat fire, and bullets poured down like a rainstorm.

Waving knives, guns, and clubs, violent true energy swept over.

Seeing this, Ye Chen narrowed his eyes.

The next second.

His figure disappeared from where he stood, weaving through the crowd like a ghost.

"Bang!"

With one punch, a Black Prison warrior flew backward, knocking down five or six people behind him.

"Bang!!"

With one kick, three or four Black Prison warriors flew out simultaneously, slamming into the barbed-wire fence, the razor wire cutting their combat uniforms and causing blood to flow freely.

"Bang!!!"

With one palm strike, five or six Black Prison warriors were slapped to the ground, causing cracks to form in the ground.

Ye Chen did not use his full strength.

These people were just controlled, not dead.

Knocking them out was enough.

Night Owl also rushed up.

Her dagger glinted coldly in the moonlight, blade back facing forward, taking them out one by one, precisely striking the back of the necks of the Black Prison warriors.

Those who were struck rolled their eyes and passed out instantly.

And Yi Yue and Qian Duofu followed by Ye Chen's side, not daring to stray too far.

As for Shala in the distance, he was sitting in the driver's seat, completely dumbfounded.

That was Black Prison!

One of the top mercenary organizations in the world!

Those experts, every single one was a battle-hardened killing machine!

But what about now?

In front of Ye Chen, they were like a flock of lambs waiting to be slaughtered, slapped or kicked to the ground one by one.

In less than five minutes.

More than three hundred Black Prison warriors, not one was left standing.

All were lying on the ground, wailing everywhere.

...

Inside the headquarters building, there was dead silence.

Ye Chen's group stepped into the corridor and walked toward the deepest part.

But strangely...

The walls were actually covered in carved symbols.

Not words, not patterns, but traces like bugs crawling on the wall.

Qian Duofu only took one look, and felt dizzy, his stomach churning, almost vomiting.

"Don't stare at them." Ye Chen said indifferently without turning his head.

Qian Duofu quickly looked away, not daring to glance at the wall again.

At the end of the corridor was a huge metal door.

The door was three meters high and two meters wide, its surface also carved with those twisted symbols.

Ye Chen walked to the door and raised his right foot.

"Boom!!!"

The metal door, along with its frame, flew inside, slamming heavily onto the floor and kicking up a cloud of dust.

The dust settled.

The scene inside the hall was revealed to everyone.

It was a circular hall with a dome over ten meters high, and the walls were covered with white candles.

The candlelight flickered, illuminating the entire hall in a dim, shifting light, like a netherworld.

In the center of the hall sat a coffin.

The coffin was pitch black, its surface covered in red runes, glowing with an eerie light under the candlelight.

The lid of the coffin was not closed, and a figure could be vaguely seen inside, wearing a white robe, hands folded over the chest, as quiet as if asleep.

And above the coffin, Jessica was suspended in mid-air, her body also covered in carved symbols.

A Black-robed man sat cross-legged in front of the coffin.

He was wrapped from head to toe in a black cloak, his hood covering most of his face.

In front of him stood a giant hourglass.

The sand in the upper half of the hourglass was almost running out.

Only a thin layer remained, still slowly flowing down.

Ye Chen paused, his gaze landing on the Black-robed man.

The Black-robed man's cold voice drifted over.

"You are indeed stronger than I imagined."

"The people I sent were unable to stop you."

"But it doesn't matter."

"You arrived just in time."

"The sacrifice is about to be completed."

He slowly turned his head, revealing a pair of eyes beneath the shadow of his hood.

Those eyes...

Were not distorted, nor glowing with dark red light.

They were normal.

Exactly the same as a normal person's.

The Black-robed man looked at Ye Chen, the corners of his mouth lifting slightly, revealing an eerie smile.

"You are very suitable to become the vessel for my lover."

Ye Chen was stunned for a moment.

"What? Wait... You're a man, and your lover is also a man?"

The Black-robed man smiled coldly: "That's correct."

"No..."

Ye Chen rubbed his forehead, "So, I've been targeted by a gay man???"

Night Owl: "..."

Yi Yue: "..."

Qian Duofu: "..."
