745: Chapter 745 How dare you threaten to kill me?

That's right!

That was a small missile!

In the waters around Thor Island, shootouts, vendettas, and armed conflicts are the norm.

But using a missile?

What kind of grudge or grievance is this, for fuck's sake?

Yierqi's face changed.

But soon.

The dust outside the car gradually dissipated.

On the horizon behind them, dozens of black off-road vehicles were speeding toward them, the spotlights on their roofs flashing with blinding white light through the rising dust.

The convoy was massive; at a glance, there were at least twenty or thirty vehicles.

Yierqi looked at the convoy, his face turning pale instantly.

"This... this is Shala's crew! The biggest pirate group on Thor Island!"

"Shala?" Ye Chen raised an eyebrow.

"Among the eighteen pirate factions on Thor Island, Shala's group controls half of it!"

Yierqi was so anxious he was about to cry. "He has thousands of men, artillery, and missiles. Even the Eagle Country navy patrol boats don't dare to approach his territory!"

Ye Chen didn't speak; he simply pushed the car door open and stepped out.

Night Owl followed closely behind.

Yi Yue wanted to get out of the car too, but Ye Chen pressed her back down. "Stay in the car."

Yi Yue bit her lip and didn't insist.

Seeing this, Qian Duofu volunteered himself. "I... I'll protect her!"

Ye Chen ignored him.

The convoy outside drew closer and closer.

Twenty or thirty black off-road vehicles lined up in front of the Hummer, their headlights illuminating the entire wasteland as bright as day.

The car doors opened in unison.

Over a hundred pirates jumped out of the vehicles, all holding standard-issue rifles.

Immediately after.

A burly, bald man stepped out from the backseat of the middle vehicle.

He was in his early forties, nearly two meters tall, with muscles hardened by intense training all over his body.

Shala.

The true master of Thor Island.

Yierqi hurriedly scrambled out of the Hummer.

Then.

He looked at Shala, squeezing out a smile that looked worse than crying.

"Sha... Boss Shala, why did you come in person?"

"I... what did I do wrong? Why did you use a missile..."

Before he could finish.

Shala's right hand had already drawn a Desert Eagle from his waist; he raised it casually and pressed it against Yierqi's forehead.

Yierqi's voice stopped abruptly, his forehead soaked in cold sweat.

"Get lost."

Shala's voice was very flat.

"This has nothing to do with you. If you talk any more nonsense, I'll blow your brains out."

Yierqi's expression changed, and he obediently shut his mouth.

Then.

He hunched over and retreated to the side of the road, like an elementary school student being punished by a teacher, not daring to even breathe loudly.

Shala then turned his gaze to Ye Chen.

"You are Ye Chen?"

Ye Chen, hands in his pockets, looked at him. "Something up?"

Shala's brows furrowed slightly.

This young man's reaction was not what he had expected.

There was no fear, no panic, not even a trace of tension.

A cold smile curled the corners of Shala's mouth. "Someone doesn't want you to get near that place."

"That place?" Ye Chen tilted his head. "Where?"

"Black Prison."

Shala spat out the two words, the coldness in his eyes deepening.

"Someone paid a high price to buy your life."

Ye Chen looked at him and couldn't help but laugh. "Someone? Who?"

Shala did not answer.

He simply raised his right hand and pointed his index finger forward.

The hundred or so pirates behind him raised their rifles in unison, all aiming at Ye Chen.

The safeties were already off.

Fingers rested on the triggers.

With just a single command, bullets would pour out like a torrential rain.

Shala looked at Ye Chen, a cruel expectation flashing in his eyes.

He wanted to see fear.

He wanted to see this young man kneel and beg for mercy, lying at his feet like a dog.

However.

Ye Chen did not grant him his wish; instead, he sighed.

"All the way here, I've only encountered your kind."

"But... not a single one of you is capable."

Shala's face darkened. "Death wish."

His hand dropped sharply.

"Fire!!!"

Gunshots exploded across the wasteland like thunder, deafening.

A hundred rifles fired simultaneously.

Bullets poured toward Ye Chen like a rainstorm.

Yierqi was scared out of his wits and dove headfirst into a ditch by the side of the road.

Qian Duofu curled into a ball inside the Hummer, his heart about to jump out of his throat.

Night Owl stood behind Ye Chen, her right hand already touching the dagger at her waist, about to strike.

But then she saw.

Ye Chen lifted his right foot and brought it down.

"Boom!!!"

A muffled, thunderous sound came from deep within the ground, and the entire wasteland trembled violently, as if some ancient beast was waking up beneath it.

The next second.

Centered on Ye Chen's right foot, countless cracks split open in the ground, spreading in all directions like a spiderweb.

Gravel!

Pebbles!

Dust!

They actually floated up from the cracks.

Countless pieces of gravel, dense and blocking out the sky, coalesced into a grey-black wall in front of Ye Chen.

The bullets hit the gravel wall, sparks flying everywhere.

The gravel was shattered, then instantly replenished.

More gravel flew up from the ground cracks, joining the wall and blocking all the bullets.

In just three seconds.

The hundreds of bullets fired from the hundred rifles were all blocked by the gravel wall.

The bullet heads scattered all over the ground.

Ye Chen raised his right hand and flicked his index finger forward gently.

The next second.

Those thousands of pieces of gravel, like cannonballs leaving their chambers, shot toward the group of pirates.

"Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh—"

The gravel traced trajectories in the air, like a massive net of death covering the entire convoy.

"Puff!"

"Sshh!!"

"Sshh!!!"

The sound of gravel piercing flesh rang out, and blood splattered.

Those pirates fell one after another like harvested wheat.

In just five seconds.

Of the hundred pirates, not a single one was left standing.

All of them lay on the ground, wailing everywhere.

Shala stood where he was, dumbfounded.

The Desert Eagle in his hand was still raised, but his finger could no longer pull the trigger.

It wasn't that he didn't dare; he had forgotten to.

His mind was blank.

Too shocking!

That young man was actually able to control stones as a counterattack, and had knocked down everyone he brought???

Shala's eyelids twitched violently, and his expression turned gloomy.

"You really are just like the files said, not simple at all."

Ye Chen asked indifferently, "What I'm more curious about is, who ordered you to make a move, and even provided the files."

Shala sneered.

"Do you think I'll tell you?"

Ye Chen looked at him and also smiled. "Then I'll beat you until you do."

As soon as he finished speaking.

Ye Chen stepped toward Shala.

Shala's expression turned cold.

He never imagined...

That this young man would be so arrogant, actually wanting to hit him???

He laughed, a very cold laugh.

"What a fine Ye Chen!"

"What a fine person from Dragon Country!"

"How dare you threaten to kill me?"

"Today..."

"I will let you know what true arrogance is!"

Saying this.

He took out a Bagua stone plate and, in front of everyone, smashed it directly onto the ground.

"Bang!"

The stone plate shattered into pieces.

A visible ripple surged out from the stone plate.

The next second.

The hundred or so pirates who had fallen and were groaning in pain on the ground eerily crawled back up.

Then.

The wounds on their bodies began to heal.

Each of them grinned hideously, looking exceptionally terrifying.

Yierqi poked his head out of the ditch and, seeing the scene of the hundred pirates who were just wailing on the ground now standing up one by one, was completely stunned.

"Fuck? What is going on?!"

Qian Duofu pressed against the car window, seeing this scene, the fat on his face twitching violently.

"Good heavens! Are they turning into zombies?"

He then looked up and yelled at Yi Yue, "Miss Yi Yue, you must protect me! I haven't even taken a wife yet!"

Yi Yue: "..."

No...

She was just an ordinary person too!

How could she protect him?

Night Owl stood behind Ye Chen, looking at the pirates crawling up from the ground, her brows furrowed tightly.

She had seen many strange things, but this was the first time she had seen something like today.

Those pirates clearly still had holes in their bodies, yet their movements were as agile as if nothing had happened to them.

Even a few pirates whose shoulders had been pierced by gravel were now moving their arms, their joints making clicking sounds, as if they were calibrating precise machines.

"What's going on?"

Ye Chen looked at those pirates and said indifferently, "It's the same as your situation; they are being controlled by a special Mental Power."

Night Owl's expression darkened.

She recalled the feeling she had when she was unconscious before.

The pirates before her were in the same situation as her, yet also a bit different.

She had fallen into a coma.

While this group of pirates was clearly being controlled, having become marionettes.

Clearly.

It was even more severe than her situation!

A hint of gravity flashed in Night Owl's eyes. "Then what should we do next?"

Ye Chen shrugged.

"Using Mental Power in front of me?"

"Overestimating oneself."

As soon as he finished speaking.

Ye Chen raised his right hand, aiming at the pirates who were approaching.

Shala stood in front of the convoy, arms crossed over his chest, a cold smile on his lips.

Seeing Ye Chen's hand-raising motion, a trace of disdain flashed in his eyes.

"Who do you think you are? You want to break my..."

Before he could finish.

His voice stopped abruptly.

Because Ye Chen had actually started drawing a talisman in the void, a golden rune gradually taking shape with his strokes...
