428: Chapter 428 Chaos at the Scene!

Seven or eight burly men pushed and shoved their way through the crowd.

The leader was a bald man covered in tattoos, looking like someone you wouldn't want to mess with.

Behind them followed a Middle-aged Man dressed in a sharp suit.

The man wore gold-rimmed glasses, held a walking stick in his hand, and had a smile on his face.

Everywhere he went...

The people in line scrambled to get out of the way.

The bald man walked straight to the front of the line, shoved the ticket-checking staff aside, and made a gesturing motion to the Middle-aged Man behind him.

"Mr. George, please!"

The Middle-aged Man gave a slight nod and started to step inside.

A white-haired old lady at the front of the line couldn't help but speak up.

"Sir, everyone is waiting in line. Cutting in like this is rather impolite, don't you think?"

George stopped, tilted his head, and glanced at her. "Old lady, do you know who I am?"

The old lady was taken aback.

"No matter who you are, you should follow public order..."

Before she could finish her sentence...

The bald man had already lunged forward, grabbed the old lady by the collar, and lifted her up like a little chick.

"Old bag, you tired of living?"

"Mr. George is a member of the Manluodi Family in the USA!"

"He enters whenever he wants to enter!"

"Say one more word, and believe it or not, I'll throw you out!"

The old lady's face turned pale, and she trembled so hard she couldn't utter a single word.

The people nearby were as quiet as cicadas in winter; no one dared to step forward.

After all...

Anyone living in the USA knew...

The Manluodi Family was one of the Three Major Plutocrats!

The bald man sneered and tossed the old lady aside.

The old lady staggered a few steps and fell onto her backside, groaning in pain.

George withdrew his gaze and stepped into the museum.

The seven or eight burly men followed him in swaggeringly.

The staff at the entrance looked at each other, but not a single one dared to stop them.

Yan Qingwu watched this scene, her brow furrowing slightly.

"They sure are arrogant."

"If this were the Dragon Country and I saw such a petty person, I'd be the first to tear him apart!"

Ye Chen, with his hands in his pockets, spoke calmly: "It's right to be arrogant. If they weren't arrogant, how would our low profile stand out?"

Yan Qingwu couldn't help but laugh.

"You, low profile?"

"You beat up the FBI and the Ability User Bureau last night; you call that a low profile?"

Ye Chen looked innocent: "They made the first move. I was forced to fight back. Is that the same?"

Yan Qingwu: "..."

Fine, whatever you say is right.

The line moved forward slowly.

After waiting for over half an hour, the two finally entered the museum smoothly.

...

Outside the museum, across the street.

A black armored vehicle was parked quietly by the roadside.

Inside, screens of various sizes occupied an entire wall of the compartment.

On the screens were real-time surveillance feeds from various angles inside and outside the museum.

Several technicians in combat gear sat before the screens, their fingers flying across the keyboards.

Black Widow sat with her legs crossed on the console, a cup of coffee in her hand, her gaze fixed on the largest screen.

The screen showed the museum entrance; everyone who entered was captured clearly by the high-definition cameras.

A tall, thin man leaned in and said cautiously, "Big Sister, we haven't found any trace of Ye Chen or Yan Qingwu yet."

Black Widow narrowed her eyes and took a small sip of coffee.

"Keep watching."

"Yes!"

The tall man acknowledged and was about to withdraw.

Black Widow set down her coffee cup and spoke slowly.

"His target for coming to the USA is likely that bronze key."

"It's absolutely impossible that he hasn't made preparations."

"Tell the men below: once they spot any Dragon Country people, arrest them all!"

The tall man hesitated for a moment before speaking.

"Big Sister, I don't know if I should say this..."

Black Widow glanced at him: "Speak."

The tall man swallowed and said carefully.

"The number of Dragon Country people who have come this time is simply too many."

"Just the factions we can name count in the hundreds."

"And there are others hiding in the shadows whose backgrounds we can't trace at all."

"They are definitely all here for that key as well."

"Do we really... arrest them all?"

Black Widow's gaze suddenly turned cold: "Arrest them. Catch every single one. If we don't... they'll think our USA has really fallen behind."

The tall man shuddered and stood at attention with a salute.

"Yes!"

He turned and walked quickly toward the back of the vehicle.

Black Widow looked back at the screen, a cold light flashing in her eyes.

"Ye Chen..."

"No matter where you're hiding, don't think you're leaving Chicago alive today."

...

Inside the museum, the noise was deafening.

In the center of the first-floor hall stood a massive glass display case.

The case was surrounded by a cordon, with a fully armed security guard stationed every two meters.

Inside the case, a bronze key stood quietly, illuminated by a beam of light that made it shine brilliantly.

The crowd was packed several layers deep, surrounding the display case so tightly that not even water could trickle through.

Ye Chen and Yan Qingwu stood on the outer edge of the crowd, looking at the bronze key from a distance.

Yan Qingwu held up her camera, pretending to take a few photos, and asked in a low voice: "How is it? Is it the thing you're looking for?"

Ye Chen's gaze fell on the bronze key, his eyes narrowing slightly.

His perception, like invisible tentacles, quietly probed into the glass display case.

A second later.

The corners of his mouth curled up slightly.

"That's right."

"It's the one."

Actually.

Ye Chen was a bit surprised.

He had originally prepared for the worst-case scenario.

Which was that the item in the museum was a fake, and the real one had already been swapped and hidden away.

But he never expected...

That while the USA did all sorts of unscrupulous things, they were actually being somewhat decent about this one matter.

Compared to the rumors in the Dragon Country about 'one for the museum, one for me,' this was much more reliable.

Hearing this, Yan Qingwu's eyes lit up: "Since it's real, then what are we waiting for? Let's just snatch it!"

Ye Chen shook his head.

"No rush."

"I just sensed that quite a few forces have arrived in the vicinity."

"Let them cause a commotion first; it'll be easier for us to take the item then."

Yan Qingwu was startled, then suddenly understood.

She pretended to take photos, inconspicuously scanning the surroundings with her camera lens.

Sure enough...

In the crowd, there were far more Oriental faces than she had imagined, and many of them had shifty eyes. When they glanced toward the display case, their expressions were clearly off.

Furthermore.

One could tell at a glance that many of them were not ordinary people...

Yan Qingwu put down her camera, the corners of her mouth curling up slightly.

"So you want them to be the troublemakers first and distract the Ability User Bureau?"

Ye Chen nodded.

"The Ability User Bureau's manpower is definitely limited."

"If someone comes out to cause trouble, they'll have to divert people there."

"That's when it'll be easier for us to make our move."

He paused and smiled slightly.

"Although I'm not afraid of them, it's always good to have a bit less trouble."

"After all..."

"Our main identity is that of foreigners!"

Yan Qingwu couldn't help but laugh.

This guy was truly as clever as a monkey.

However.

Just as the two stopped talking...

Suddenly!

BANG!!!

A deafening gunshot suddenly exploded in the museum hall!

The crowd instantly erupted into chaos!

"Ah! Help!"

"Gunshots! What's happening?"

"Fuck! Who stepped on my foot!"

...

Screams!

Cries for help!

Curses!

All intertwined into one!

Tourists, like a frightened flock of sheep, fled frantically in all directions!

Some were pushed to the ground and, before they could even get up, were trampled by the surging crowd behind them!

Someone knocked over a display case, shattering glass everywhere!

The entire museum instantly fell into utter chaos!

And in the center of that chaos...

Seven or eight masked burly men, armed with submachine guns, rushed out from the crowd!

The leader was a hulking man with eyes as sharp as a hawk's, and he charged straight for the central glass display case!

The men behind him aimed their guns at the surrounding security guards and opened fire frantically!

Rat-tat-tat-tat-tat!!!

Bullets poured out like a rainstorm!

The security guards didn't even have time to react before they were riddled with bullets, collapsing into pools of blood!

"Smash it!!!"

At the leader's command, two of his subordinates immediately rushed to the display case, raised their iron hammers, and slammed them into the glass!

BANG!

BANG!!

BANG!!!

Once!

Twice!

Three times!

The special glass, supposedly bulletproof, saw cracks spread across it like a spiderweb after three hammer strikes!

The fourth strike!

CRASH!!!

The glass shattered completely!

The man reached out to grab the bronze key inside the case!

WHOOSH!

A sharp sound of something cutting through the air suddenly approached!

It was a flying dagger!

Fast as lightning!

Aiming straight for the man's heart from behind!

The man's pupils shrank, and he exerted all his strength to twist his body and dodge!

The flying dagger grazed his ribs and embedded itself into the edge of the display case!

Before he could breathe a sigh of relief, a black shadow had already charged out from the crowd!

It was a Middle-aged Man with an Oriental face, dressed in black combat gear and holding a soft sword. The blade flickered like a snake as it lunged toward the man's throat!

"baka!!!"

The hulking man let out an angry roar—it was actually Japanese!

He suddenly drew a short blade from his waist and blocked the soft sword!

CLANG!!!

Metal clashed against metal!

Sparks flew in all directions!

The two figures were instantly locked in combat!

Blades flashed!

True Qi surged!

Tourists who hadn't managed to run far enough were knocked over by the shockwaves, their screams constant!

The middle-aged Oriental man forced the hulking man back with a sword strike and spoke coldly: "The bronze key belongs to my Dragon Country!"

The man spat and gave a savage grin.

"baka!"

"Doesn't your Dragon Country also belong to my Japan?"

"Presumptuous!" The middle-aged Oriental man was enraged and lunged with his sword again.

However.

Just as the two were engaging once more...

WHOOSH WHOOSH WHOOSH!

More sounds of objects cutting through the air!

Seven or eight figures charged out from all directions!

There were Oriental faces!

Western faces!

Middle Eastern faces!

There were even a few dark-skinned burly men!

They all had the same goal—

The bronze key in the display case!

A free-for-all battle broke out instantly!

"Kill!!!"

Blades flashed!

True Qi crisscrossed!

Bullets flew everywhere!

The entire museum hall was completely transformed into a battlefield!
