754: Chapter 754 That person is the one she wants to pursue

The speedboat docked.

As soon as Ye Chen and the other two stepped onto the pier, the commander led seventy or eighty maritime guards to surround them, their gun barrels aimed squarely at the trio.

"Who are you? Where did you come from?"

The commander's voice was as cold and sharp as a blade, his hawk-like eyes scanning back and forth over Ye Chen and his companions.

Ye Chen stopped walking, glanced at him, and said indifferently, "People from the Dragon Kingdom, coming from Thor Island."

As the words fell, a deathly silence descended upon the pier.

The commander's eyes widened abruptly, his expression twisted as if he had been punched squarely in the bridge of his nose.

The maritime guards behind him all turned pale.

"Th… Thor Island?!"

"You said you came from Thor Island? That pirate den?!"

Ye Chen nodded. "That's right."

The commander: "……"

No… Thor Island was a forbidden zone that even the Eagle Country Royal Navy wouldn't easily approach.

The pirates entrenched on the island were all cold-blooded killers; even when his maritime guard unit received orders, they only dared to patrol from a distance, never venturing close.

Over the years, only two types of people had ever come out of Thor Island. One type was pirates. The other was the dead.

And now, there were three Dragon Kingdom people standing before him, claiming they had come from Thor Island? That meant…

The commander's face darkened completely, and he raised his right hand abruptly.

"Attention everyone! Surround them! Don't let a single one escape!"

The seventy or eighty maritime guards moved in unison, their gun barrels aimed at the three, forming an airtight perimeter.

The scene didn't look like they were apprehending three ordinary people; it looked more like they were about to fight a small-scale war.

Qian Duofu was so frightened by this display that he shivered, his legs turning to jelly, and he shrank behind Ye Chen, not daring to let out a breath.

Yi Yue was calmer, though Yi Yue subconsciously leaned closer to Ye Chen.

Ye Chen said indifferently, "You have one chance to lower your weapons. If you miss this chance, you will all be lying here."

The commander was completely stunned.

Fuck!

They had the people surrounded, yet this guy was still so arrogant?

Did he think… that the port of Eagle Country was the same as their pirate den's port???

"Hands on your heads! Kneel down!"

He shouted sharply, "You are suspected of being associated with pirates, and you are now being detained by law! Any resistance will be met with lethal force!"

Ye Chen looked at him and couldn't help but laugh. "Associated with pirates? Which eye of yours saw us being pirates?"

The commander sneered.

"Anyone coming out of Thor Island is either a pirate or a pirate's accomplice. What were you three Dragon Kingdom people doing running all the way to a pirate den?"

"Sightseeing? Do you think I'll believe that?"

Ye Chen shrugged. "If I say I went there on business, do you believe me?"

"Business?"

A trace of mockery flashed in the commander's eyes. "I think you went there to deal with pirates. Smuggling? Drug trafficking? Or arms dealing?"

Ye Chen sighed, too lazy to explain further.

He knew that reasoning with this kind of person was useless.

In their perception, anyone coming out of Thor Island couldn't be a good person.

Well… even if that perception wasn't necessarily wrong.

Seeing him remain silent, the commander was even more convinced of his judgment and waved his hand. "Handcuff them all! Take them back for interrogation!"

Several maritime guards immediately rushed up, pulling out handcuffs, about to slap them onto Ye Chen's wrists.

But, right at that moment!

"Stop!"

A sharp, feminine cry came from behind the crowd.

Everyone froze and turned their heads in unison to look.

They saw a black sedan parked at the entrance of the pier. The door opened, and a young woman stepped out of the car.

She was wearing a black trench coat with a leather belt cinched at her waist, perfectly accentuating her slender figure.

Her long blonde hair cascaded over her shoulders, shimmering with a soft luster in the morning light.

Her features were as exquisite as a Renaissance oil painting, her skin as fair as porcelain, and her pair of azure eyes were crystal clear, radiating an innate noble temperament.

When the maritime guards saw this woman, their expressions changed drastically.

The commander's pupils shrank abruptly.

He hurriedly holstered his gun, scrambled to tidy his uniform, stood at attention, and raised his right hand to the brim of his cap, performing a standard military salute.

"Pr… Princess!"

The maritime guards behind him also snapped out of their daze and stood at attention in unison, performing a salute, looking like completely different people from the ferocious thugs they were moments ago.

Euphemia ignored them and walked quickly toward Ye Chen.

Seeing this, the commander hurriedly stepped forward to block her, looking nervous.

"Princess! You cannot get close to these people!"

"They came from Thor Island and are likely accomplices of the pirates; it's too dangerous!"

"Please step back and let us handle this!"

Euphemia paused, her delicate eyebrows slightly furrowed as she looked at the commander. "What pirate accomplices?"

The commander hurriedly explained.

"Princess, these three people just admitted themselves that they came from Thor Island!"

"You should know what kind of place Thor Island is; it's the pirates' lair!"

"People who come out of such a place are either pirates or pirate accomplices!"

"For your safety, please leave here immediately!"

As he spoke, he signaled to the maritime guards behind him, indicating for them to quickly secure Ye Chen and his companions.

After hearing the commander's words, Euphemia's brow furrowed even tighter.

She turned her head, her gaze landing on Ye Chen.

Ye Chen was looking at her with a smile, wearing an expression like he was watching a good show.

Euphemia turned back to look at the commander and spoke, enunciating every word clearly.

"He is my savior, the hero in my heart."

The commander was completely stunned.

The maritime guards behind him were also dumbfounded; some rubbed their ears, thinking they had misheard.

Savior? Hero?

This young Dragon Kingdom man who came from a pirate den was Princess Euphemia's savior?

The commander's mind went blank, and it took him a long while to find his voice, stuttering as he asked, "Pr… Princess, what… what did you say?"

Euphemia looked at him, her eyes cool and firm. "I said, he is the man I want to pursue."

The commander: "!!!"

The maritime guards: "!!!"

Shock! It was fucking shocking!

Their little princess actually! Actually! Actually! Said with her own mouth that she wanted to pursue a man?

If the Queen heard about this, she would definitely lose her mind!

The commander's brain was in chaos, and he stammered, "Princess, please don't joke around…"

"Do you think I look like I'm joking?" Euphemia asked calmly.

The commander's brain became even more chaotic.

But Euphemia ignored him and walked straight to Ye Chen's side, hands behind her back, leaning forward slightly. "Hi, Ye Chen, we meet again?"

"How did you know I was here?" Ye Chen asked in surprise.

His impression of Euphemia was still stuck on that eccentric princess who traveled everywhere.

"How could I not know?" Euphemia rolled her eyes.

"This is my family's territory, and besides, since you came on a cross-sea cruise ship, it's even less possible for me not to know."

"However…"

"What's the deal with that cross-sea cruise ship?"

"Back then, in order to track your location, I specifically investigated it, only to find that the cruise ship had been controlled by pirates."

Ye Chen rubbed his nose. "It's a long story. Let's talk about it later. Let's leave here first."

"Fine!" Euphemia nodded. "I have already arranged your accommodation."

"Where?" Ye Chen asked.

Euphemia smiled sweetly. "My home."

The commander: "???"

Maritime guards: "???"

She was so serious. She was serious.

There was a saying in the royal family that Euphemia was a germaphobe; let alone letting someone stay where she lived, even just getting close to her would make her explode.

Now… she was directly inviting a man to live at her home?

This matter probably needed to be reported to the Queen immediately.

…Imperial Palace, Council Hall.

Her Majesty the Queen was sitting on the imperial throne, holding a cup of black tea, enjoying a rare moment of afternoon tranquility.

A butler wearing a tailcoat walked in quickly, his expression strange, as if he had been constipated for several days.

"Your Majesty."

The Queen raised her eyelids. "What is it?"

The butler took a deep breath before speaking helplessly. "Princess Euphemia… has brought a man back to the palace."

"Pfft!!!"

The Queen spat out a mouthful of black tea.

She slammed the teacup down, not even bothering to wipe the tea stains off her body, her eyes wide.

"What did you say?!"

"She brought a man… back to the palace???"

The butler nodded. "Yes, and according to the maritime guards on the front line, the other party is someone who came out of a pirate den."

A pirate den???

The Queen's face turned green instantly.

"That brat, has she lost her mind?"

"She actually brought a pirate back?"

"If people outside find out, where will the face of my royal family go???"

The butler coughed dryly. "Your Highness, the Princess also said one thing."

"What thing?" The Queen's brow furrowed even tighter.

The butler's breath hitched. "That person is the man she wants to pursue."
