94: Chapter 94 Taming the Queen Bee

Ye Jing was already very familiar with the Qinling Mountains.

He brought Hei Feng to the cave where the Poisonous Variant Bees were kept; a thick scent of blood wafted within, making a Essence Spirit black dog like Hei Feng very excited.

Nowadays, Hei Feng was growing extremely fast, already as tall as an adult man and over ten feet long, his green-glowing eyes looking quite majestic.

He brought Hei Feng this time primarily as a helper; as for tracking the Spiritual Vein, Ye Jing still had to rely on the Poisonous Variant Bees.

"Hei Feng, guard the outside of the cave. Do not let any beasts approach without my permission!"

Ye Jing gave the order; he came here intending to make the Poisonous Variant Bee his third Contracted Spirit Creature.

Due to Ye Jing's long-term feeding, the king of these Poisonous Variant Bees had evolved into a Bee Queen, and her strength had reached a new level, making her slightly disobedient.

When Ye Jing came to feed them before, he was even attacked by the rebellious swarm, but he needed these Spiritual Insects to find the Spiritual Vein now.

Therefore, Ye Jing intended to give this disobedient Bee Queen a good lesson to let her know who her master was!

As he stepped deep into the cave, the thick scent of blood mixed with the pungent smell of poisonous insects; the further he went, the more ear-piercing the buzzing of the bees became.

The cave walls were covered with dense honeycombs, and the vibration of the Poisonous Variant Bees' wings merged into a scalp-numbing torrent.

Clearly, the Bee Queen had already sensed his arrival and was mobilizing the swarm to wait in formation.

"You wicked creature, I provided for your cultivation, yet you've learned to turn on your master!"

Ye Jing's voice carried a hint of coldness as the spiritual power within his body quietly circulated, and a spiritual light flickered around him.

Just as he finished speaking, several blood-red bee stingers shot toward him like sharp arrows, each one steeped in potent poison.

This surprised Ye Jing somewhat; he hadn't expected the Poisonous Variant Bees to grow to the point where they could fire stingers from their abdomens.

With a tap of his toes, Ye Jing's figure quickly dodged the stingers, which instantly corroded small pits into the stone wall upon impact.

This showed how powerful the toxicity was; if it were an ordinary Mortal, they would have been riddled with holes by now.

Ye Jing flipped his palm, and a blast of piercing fiery spiritual power swept out, directly incinerating the stinger attack and knocking down a large number of pouncing Poisonous Variant Bees.

The fallen bees were instantly burned to cinders, completely powerless to resist.

In the deepest part of the cave, above a bright red blood pool, a reddish-purple Bee Queen slowly crawled out from a millstone-sized honeycomb.

This Bee Queen was the size of an egg, her wings covered in black patterns, the stinger on her tail gleaming like a curved hook, and a faint black poison mist swirled around her.

Her strength had clearly reached Qi Refining Level 2. Upon seeing Ye Jing, she was full of hostility, her mouthparts letting out constant screeches, and the swarm behind her immediately surged forward like a red tide.

Ye Jing's gaze darkened, but he did not deal a killing blow.

These Poisonous Variant Bees were the Bee Queen's wings; if he wiped them out, tracking the Spiritual Vein later would be troublesome.

Seeing the swarm rushing at him, he used spiritual power to defend himself and then quickly charged toward the Bee Queen.

Seeing this, the Bee Queen's tail stinger suddenly shot a stream of black venom directly at Ye Jing's spiritual defense.

The venom collided with the spiritual power with a sizzling sound, and a hole was instantly dissolved into Ye Jing's spiritual shield.

Seeing this, Ye Jing swiftly thrust his sword into the Bee Queen's wing, pinning her to the stone wall like a fly.

Then, flames erupted from Ye Jing's body to protect himself; these Poisonous Variant Bees were extremely afraid of fire, and seeing the sky full of flames, they immediately shrank back in fear.

Ye Jing walked up to the struggling Bee Queen and asked coldly, "Are you submissive now?"

An insect's brain is relatively simple; having lost, she naturally surrendered, so she stopped thrashing and lay quietly on the blade that pierced her.

Seeing this, Ye Jing immediately chose to tame her.

"Poisonous Variant Bee Queen, low-grade Spiritual Insect, tamed. Taming cost: fifty Immortal Light. Skills: Corrosive Venom, Swarm Control."

After the Immortal Light entered her body, Ye Jing withdrew his sword; a faint golden luster appeared on the Bee Queen's abdomen, and she completely submitted.

She then landed obediently on Ye Jing's shoulder, emitting a low hum that conveyed submission and a desire to please.

Although her wing was pierced, she could still fly unsteadily.

Seeing this, Ye Jing immediately took several Spirit Treasure Chickens containing spiritual power and some meat from his Storage Pouch; these were the favorite foods of the Poisonous Variant Bees.

The Bee Queen immediately pounced on them excitedly and began to devour them greedily.

Seeing the Bee Queen surrender, the surrounding bees also withdrew their hostility and landed quietly on the honeycombs.

Seeing this, Ye Jing breathed a sigh of relief; with the Bee Queen's cooperation, tracking the Spiritual Vein would be twice as effective with half the effort.

After he walked out of the cave, Hei Feng immediately approached him, his massive head rubbing against Ye Jing's arm.

"It's done." Ye Jing patted the top of his head like an old friend. "Next, it's time for the Bee Queen to follow us to the Qinling Forbidden Zone to find that Spiritual Vein."

The Bee Queen lay honestly on Ye Jing's shoulder as he mounted Hei Feng's back and then galloped toward the depths of the Qinling Mountains.

Hei Feng's claws stepped on the withered leaves of the Qinling Mountains, making a rustling sound as he moved as fast as the wind.

Ye Jing sat steadily on his back; though the Bee Queen's wings on his shoulder were not fully healed, she still vigilantly flapped her tattered wings.

She could sense the surrounding movements at all times; as Spiritual Insects, their perception of spiritual power far exceeded that of ordinary Yao Beasts. Having her by his side was like having a keen "alarm."

The name of the Qinling Forbidden Zone was certainly not in vain.

The deeper they went, the more eerie the surroundings became; the once-dense ancient trees gradually became twisted, their trunks covered in dark brown patterns, some even bearing obvious claw marks and teeth imprints.

They had clearly undergone fierce slaughter, and a faint stench of blood lingered in the air, mixed with the smell of decaying vegetation.

"Buzz..." The Bee Queen suddenly emitted a rapid buzzing sound, the stinger on her tail tilting slightly upward, and even Hei Feng let out a low growl toward the woods with a tense expression.

The next moment, a "rustling" sound came from the dense forest, and several black figures converged.

They were actually several wild wolves, their fur nearly pitch black, clearly not ordinary creatures.

"I'll leave it to you!" Ye Jing looked down at the Bee Queen on his shoulder and commanded.

The spiritual power on these wolves was weak; they weren't any powerful Yao Beasts, so it was a good chance to test the prowess of the Poisonous Variant Bees.

Receiving the command, the Poisonous Variant Bee Queen immediately let out a screech, and the swarm around her instantly turned into streaks of blood-red mist, charging at the wolf pack.

Seeing that this human could actually use poisonous insects, the wild wolves instinctively tried to flee, but it was too late. The Poisonous Variant Bees flew high and immediately fired a large number of poisonous stingers from their abdomens, which fell like a dense rain.

These wolves had no ability to resist at all; in an instant, their bodies were pierced, and they fell one after another with continuous wails.

In the blink of an eye, the dense swarm of Poisonous Variant Bees rushed to the wild wolves, their sharp mouthparts constantly gnawing at the wolves' bodies.

Such an intensive attack left the wild wolves gnawed into tattered skeletons in less than a moment.

Having finished all this, the Poisonous Variant Bee Queen even emitted a submissive hum, as if claiming credit from Ye Jing.

Ye Jing was very satisfied with the Poisonous Variant Bees' combat capability; he thought that if these Poisonous Variant Bees grew further, they might become even more terrifying existences.
