Umbrella's squad's base!

At this time, the Vice Captain was also very anxious. Although heavy firepower was effective, under continuous high-intensity consumption, they were gradually unable to hold on.

Just now, an Abnormal Zombie broke through the defense line and reached them. If a team member hadn't fought to the death, they would have been completely wiped out.

Li An's target, Ashford, had also been released. There was no other way; all personnel at the base, regardless of gender, had already come to the front line. If they couldn't hold it, the only outcome was to become food.

Therefore, everyone was fighting desperately for themselves.

On a floor only ten stories below the top, Jill Valentine, with Angela and Carlos, was also cornered into a room by a large number of zombies.

Jill Valentine and Carlos had fought until their hands were sore and they were exhausted, but even so, they still hadn't reached the top floor. Gradually, a hint of despair appeared in their hearts.

Pfft!

Pfft!

On the crack-filled streets, the battle between Alice and Nemesis finally saw a new development. The arrival of a large number of Abnormal Zombies directly interrupted their fight.

Compared to Alice's reaction, Nemesis was much slower. As the Abnormal Zombies became more numerous, Alice quickly sensed that something was wrong. She immediately broke away from the fight, directly used her telekinesis to block the Abnormal Zombies' attack, and then quickly fled the scene.

On a building not far from here, a figure was rushing over. With his terrifying physique and incredible speed, he was actually leaping and running between floors. In just a few minutes, he arrived at the place where Alice and Nemesis had previously fought.

However, at this moment, only Nemesis, completely engulfed in madness, was still stubbornly resisting the Abnormal Zombies. As for Alice, her whereabouts were unknown.

"This monster?"

Standing on a high floor, Li An frowned as he looked at Nemesis below. He inexplicably felt a hint of familiarity with the monster in front of him, but because Nemesis's appearance had changed so much from the original, even Li An didn't recognize it as Nemesis for a while.

Rumble!

Just then, two rumbling sounds suddenly echoed behind Li An. Yan Beast and Blood Hunter had arrived.

The two beasts tried their best to keep up with Li An's pace, but due to the difference in strength, they were still a little late in arriving.

Ignoring the two beasts that arrived behind him, Li An suddenly looked towards the top floor of a distant high-rise. Gunshots echoed there continuously, and from time to time, human and monster corpses fell from the top floor, smashing into minced meat on the ground.

Seeing this, Li An immediately shifted his attention. He then used his super hearing to hear the intense battle erupting inside that building, and from time to time, female shouts could be heard.

Alice!

When he heard the sound amidst the chaos, Li An was stunned, and then a look of joy appeared on his face.

Alice was there! So that building... Li An suddenly realized something, and his eyes instantly brightened. Almost subconsciously, he whispered, "Let's go, follow me and kill our way up that building."

The moment his words fell, Li An shot out like a sharp sword. With his greatly increased strength, he became a blur, leaping directly from the rooftop and landing on the top floor of another building.

Roar!!

Seeing Li An move, the two beasts naturally wouldn't stay put. They moved their bodies and rushed out with Li An.

At the same time!

Li An's appearance naturally couldn't escape Augustus, who had been constantly observing the entire situation. Facing Li An's reappearance, Augustus revealed a sinister smile. Although he had already used his backup plan, he had just acquired a new toy.

That was Nemesis!

The Source of Darkness he had condensed was a semi-finished product created by sacrificing the lives of this city. To give birth to a true Seed of Destruction, a vessel was needed, a vessel that could pollute the will of the world!

Nemesis was the vessel he had chosen. Once the Source of Darkness was successfully condensed, he would fuse it with Nemesis.

Li An, who had already left, coincidentally did not see this scene. He only saw Nemesis being submerged by countless Abnormal Zombies, and then there was nothing more. At that time, he was attracted by the building not far away and didn't care about Nemesis's life or death.

On the other side!

Li An took only a few tens of seconds to reach the building where the Umbrella's base was located. He saw that it was already surrounded by dense zombies. Ordinary people who wanted to enter could only pass through the terrifying sea of corpses below.

However, Li An was no ordinary person, and his two pets were far more terrifying than zombies.

Seeing that he had reached his destination, Li An directly took an unconventional route. The ground beneath his feet suddenly exploded, and in the next second, he leaped into the air, directly shattering the building's glass and entering the third-floor corridor.

As Li An entered first, only a few seconds later, his two pets followed close behind, also rushing in.

However, just then...

A series of terrifying low growls suddenly echoed in the corridor. The zombies on that floor had been startled by the commotion Li An caused.

Roar!

The next second, Li An, who had just stabilized himself, saw a zombie lunging directly at him. Without hesitation, he punched the zombie's head, and black blood splattered, accompanied by shattered bone fragments falling all around.

With Li An's current strength, ordinary zombies were no match for him; they didn't even have the qualification to withstand a single punch. But Li An clearly didn't want to waste time on these zombies.

So, after punching the zombie's head off, Li An walked towards the end of the corridor. But just then, another zombie with its maw wide open came charging from the front. Immediately, a black shadow darted out from behind Li An.

It was Blood Hunter!

Blood Hunter directly met the charging zombie. Its huge claws immediately came down, and with two swipes, it cut the attacking zombie into several pieces.

Li An, however, didn't even look. He directly bypassed Blood Hunter and rushed into the corridor, while Yan Beast at this moment consciously took on the role of vanguard. Relying on its strong physique, Yan Beast directly crushed those zombies like a bulldozer. Almost every one of its movements took the lives of several zombies.

And with the appearance of Li An and his two pets, the situation on the field almost underwent a peak change.

Even Abnormal Zombies could not stop Yan Beast's charge and the swipe of its sharp claws; they were directly trampled underfoot by Yan Beast.

Finally, under such terrifyingly efficient sweeping, Yan Beast actually carved out a bloody path, paving it like a red carpet, welcoming Li An to the top floor.
