47: Battle on Krypton

At the same time!

As Zod's unwilling voice rang out, thunderous roars immediately echoed from the sky. Li An on the ground then looked up instinctively, only to see a figure suddenly appear above their heads.

It was Superman Clark!

"Zod, your plan has failed. Surrender!"

"The military will detain you, and your crimes will be judged by all of humanity."

High in the sky, Clark stood in mid-air, looking at Zod with a furious expression. Although he and the military had saved Metropolis, the city was now a ruin. Therefore, Zod, as the culprit, had to be sentenced and judged!

"Detain?"

"Judge?"

Facing the failure of his plan, Zod was in a state of despair. However, upon hearing Clark's words, he suddenly looked up, sneering at him.

"I am the defender of Krypton. Who can detain me? Who can judge me?"

"Kal-El, you have destroyed my hope, destroyed your home planet!"

"Since you cherish this Earth so much, then I will destroy it. I will make you watch with your own eyes as your beloved Earth turns into cosmic dust!"

Zod grew more and more agitated as he spoke, eventually even repeatedly pounding the ground, causing terrible rumbling sounds.

"What are you trying to do..."

Clark felt something was wrong the more he listened. He frowned, just about to say something more, when he suddenly felt a strong gust of wind. He didn't even have time to react before he felt a sharp pain in his abdomen. Immediately after, he was sent flying, crashing straight into a distant building.

Boom!

The great battle erupted!

Clark, who had completely ruined Zod's plan, had now become Zod's primary target for Death. Even Li An, who had confronted him for a long time, now ranked after Clark.

On the ground.

Li An watched Zod leap from the ground and directly engage Clark in battle, feeling speechless.

He was in a somewhat awkward position because Zod's movements were very fast, and he hadn't prepared in advance, causing Zod to fly away directly. He was also the only one present without the ability to fly, so the current situation was quite embarrassing.

Although he had the ability to restrain both of them, if they were so far away and fighting chaotically in the air, how could he fight them?

Without the ability to fly, he had become a mere spectator at this point. Even if he wanted to join the battle, he couldn't keep up with their flying speed at all.

"Damn it, the Kryptonian gene is really a good thing."

Watching the two constantly fighting in the air, Li An glared at them fiercely. In the end, helpless, he could only withdraw his gaze, as the air was not his strong suit, and he was powerless to participate in the aerial battle.

At this moment, he could only hope that their aerial battle would end soon, and they would return to the ground for the final showdown!

Of course!

Li An was not worried that he would ultimately be unable to participate in the battle between Clark and Zod. He still had a trump card; as long as he played it, Clark would surely come to him willingly.

"Fight! Fight!"

"The fledgling Superman, Zod, who is determined to rebuild Krypton, these few remaining Kryptonians in the world, it seems one more will be lost today."

Li An simply stood there, his gaze fixed on the two continuously fighting in the air. Zod, filled with boundless rage, constantly let out roars, each louder than the last, as if to tell Clark that he would surely destroy Earth, destroy everything he cherished.

Boom!

In the sky, terrifying rumbling sounds constantly exploded. It was hard to believe that such a god-like sound was caused by two beings. This scene was truly too terrifying and astonishing.

Furthermore, the huge commotion caused by their actions directly triggered a new round of chaos and panic in Metropolis!

Numerous tall buildings were destroyed in the wake of their battle, and the smoke and dust that had gradually settled once again rose, turning Metropolis into a true city of fog, where one couldn't see their own hand in front of their face.

The appearance of this scene, coupled with the constant rumbling and roaring sounds from the sky, immediately made the already panicked populace even more afraid and terrified. They feared that Death would descend upon them in the next second.

Chaos! Disorder! Fear! Helplessness!

At this moment, the populace felt true despair. It was because they could no longer control their own lives, and could only let out helpless cries, hoping to use sound to dispel their fear!

However, in the next second, as a red light piercing the sky swept across, all screams abruptly ceased. Some citizens who couldn't dodge in time were swept by the red light, directly cut in half.

Even Li An, who witnessed this scene firsthand, couldn't help but gasp. At this moment, he suddenly realized a problem: reality was always far more brutal than what appeared on screen.

Clark was still entangled with Zod, so he hadn't noticed the civilian casualties. However, in the original story, he chose to kill Zod because Zod was about to kill a family, which was an extremely ironic thing to do.

And now the battle escalated again. Because Clark was the first to use the heat vision, Zod quickly learned this ability. Then, in another collision with Clark, Zod focused his attention on his eyes, causing his eye sockets to quickly begin to emit red light. Immediately after, to Clark's surprise, a heat vision beam shot directly from Zod's eyes, instantly knocking Clark flying.

Boom!

The powerful force directly slammed Clark into a building. Before Clark could stand up, Zod flew to that floor. Before Clark could stabilize himself, Zod quickly closed the distance and stomped down, catching him off guard.

Boom!

Just as Zod was about to step on Clark, Clark suddenly seemed to sense something, and directly interrupted Zod's movement with a leg sweep, causing Zod to lose his balance and fall backward.

"Surrender, Zod."

Taking advantage of Zod's imbalance, Clark finally stood up. He grabbed Zod's ankle and, as his voice fell, he fiercely swung Zod, then violently slammed him into the ground.

Bang, bang, bang!

In an instant, terrifying rumbling sounds continuously rang out. Clark's speed was too fast, almost turning into an afterimage, as he repeatedly slammed Zod into the ground.

And in just the blink of an eye, Clark had already smashed a large crater into the ground.
