90: Elite monsters assemble!

After rushing out of the square with his two pets, Li An closed the entrance gate.

The gate, cast from thick steel, should be able to hold back the zombies for a while.

However, upon entering this passage, Li An was immediately captivated by the scene inside the corridor; it was spotless, without a trace of blood.

How could this be possible!

Li An's pupils instantly contracted as he realized something was wrong; judging by the number of zombies in the square, this research institute should have fallen long ago, so how could there still be such a “clean” place?

Even if no one fled here, there should still be a mess, so how could it be so “clean”?

This clearly goes against common sense!

The next second, Li An cautiously walked towards the front of the passage; this passage was clearly abnormal, and he wanted to see what was at its end.

However, when Li An cautiously brought the Harvester and the Magic Spirit Dog to the end of the passage, he saw that the door at the end had been closed from the outside.

Although he could step forward and push it open, Li An did not do so at this moment.

He quietly walked to the side of the door and looked out through the window on it, intending to first observe the situation outside the exit.

However, the next second he saw a scene that made him incredibly excited.

Numerous Lickers were gathered outside the exit, and on the ground were incomplete corpses of Umbrella personnel.

The blood flowing on the ground had long since dried, forming clots of foul blood, and not far from these corpses, Bio-weapons were casually placed in numerous Bio-capsules.

From Li An's angle, he could only see what was inside two of the Bio-capsules: a Nemesis that was not yet fully complete and an Executioner.

Bio-weapons!

Seeing this, Li An's eyes narrowed, and he immediately realized that since the contents of these two Bio-capsules were Bio-weapons, then... the next second, Li An's gaze shifted, sweeping over the Bio-capsules discarded on the ground.

He roughly estimated that there were at least ten or more Bio-capsules outside, which meant that there were at least ten or more Bio-weapons outside, ready to be activated at any moment!

Li An then withdrew his gaze, looked at the Harvester and the Magic Spirit Dog behind him, and said excitedly.

“These are all good things; your luck has arrived.”

No less than ten Bio-weapons outside the exit, not counting the Elite Lickers whose size was clearly different from ordinary Lickers—had he stumbled into the lair of elite monsters?

Li An looked at his two pets; if these two pets were to devour those elite monsters outside, wouldn't they evolve on the spot?

Li An's mind stirred, and the next second, the information of the Harvester and the Magic Spirit Dog appeared before him.

“Ding! Magic Spirit Dog currently has evolution points: 187 / 200 points.”

“Ding! Harvester currently has evolution points: 191 / 200 points.”

From the information above, these two pets were clearly not far from evolving again.

What they lacked now were evolution points, and ordinary zombie creatures could no longer provide them with evolution points, as the difference in attribute levels was too great.

The elite monsters inside, however, were just right.

If they still wanted to evolve again, they could only kill and devour the elite monsters inside.

Only in this way could they achieve evolution again, and this was the only choice!

Looking at the Harvester and the Magic Spirit Dog standing before him, Li An's heart was calm.

He knew this would be a fierce battle; even with his formidable strength, he couldn't afford to be distracted to protect his two pets while dealing with so many elite monsters.

Therefore, there would inevitably be casualties in this battle!

But Li An felt no emotion about this; the path of evolution was cruel.

Not only his two pets, but even he himself was a struggling survivor on the path of evolution.

They all evolved constantly to live, because they didn't want to die, and to not die, one could only become stronger, and even stronger, until there were no opponents!

The next second, as soon as he made his decision, Li An immediately raised his hand and pushed open the exit door.

As he did so, he realized that the door wasn't locked by someone at all; a corpse was blocking the very center of the door, and as Li An pushed from the inside, the corpse was pushed forward and fell.

Thud!

The corpse made a sound as it hit the ground; this sound was extremely faint, but it was as if it had stirred up a hornet's nest.

The Elite Lickers, who had been lying on the ground digesting the food in their stomachs, all opened their blood-red eyes and locked onto Li An.

Roar!

At this moment, the Elite Lickers let out a long howl.

Seeing new food appear, the Elite Lickers immediately became excited and began to prop themselves up, moving towards Li An's direction.

However, at this moment, Li An seemed not to see the Elite Lickers rapidly surging towards him; he merely looked ahead with unfocused eyes and said faintly,

“Go!”

“Only the victor is worthy of evolution.”

The next second.

As Li An's words fell, an Elite Licker that had already lunged at Li An was blocked by a large hand—it was the Harvester!

It stepped forward in front of Li An, then its large hand exerted force, directly throwing the Elite Licker it had blocked, sending it flying and coincidentally striking another Elite Licker that was pouncing from behind.

Boom!

The two Elite Lickers immediately flew backward upon collision, eventually crashing heavily into the wall, creating cracks and causing large pieces of rubble to fall.

Roar!

Having succeeded in one strike, the Harvester immediately spread its arms and let out a long howl to the sky!

And the Magic Spirit Dog also rushed out at this moment.

This was its chance for evolution, and it couldn't just give it to the Harvester.

Bang!

The Magic Spirit Dog directly engaged an incoming Elite Licker.

This Elite Licker was still mid-air, but the Magic Spirit Dog, relying on its massive size, directly leaped and collided with it.

Under the advantage of the Magic Spirit Dog's size, this Elite Licker was immediately knocked to the ground, and then the Magic Spirit Dog landed, directly pressing down on this Elite Licker, and the two beasts began to tear at each other.

At the same time!

Watching the battlefield gradually descend into chaos, Li An, who had remained still, also made his move at this moment.

He directly charged towards the largest Elite Licker in the field.

This battle, after all, concerned whether his two pets could successfully evolve, and as their master, he naturally had to lend a hand.

As Li An moved swiftly, he suddenly leaped from his spot, performing an aerial axe kick, directly aiming for the head of this largest Elite Licker.

Boom!

At this moment, a terrifying sonic boom exploded.
