63: Unsealing Ceremony, Prayer to the God of Thieves
Outside the stone house.
Ron was still taking precautions, just as he had during his last breakthrough to Knight.
This time, he not only used the Beast Repellent Powder but also set up many traps using the Blast Bomb and other items he had just created.
Only after everything was ready did he return to the house.
At this point, Ron first placed the box containing the alchemical materials on the stone table.
Then he turned and went to the stone bed, rolling up all the straw mats, bedding, and other sundries on it and tossing them aside.
After a thorough cleaning, the stone bed, about two meters long and 1.8 meters wide, was spotless, without a speck of dust.
Subsequently, Ron opened the box.
First, he took out a bottle of alchemical liquid containing spiritual substance, and then he took out the engraving knife that he had previously had the blacksmith Magila forge.
Afterward, Ron carefully used a dropper to draw the alchemical liquid and inject it into the hollow tube of the engraving knife.
“First, the alchemical array…”
Ron focused intently, bent down, and began to engrave on the stone bed with the knife.
This engraving knife was not an alchemical item, but it was made of refined steel, making it extremely sharp.
And Ron had already entered the Knight realm, possessing astonishing strength and extremely strong control.
Therefore, the moment the tip of the knife touched the stone, it was like a hot knife cutting through butter, leaving a one-centimeter deep scratch on it.
At the same time, Ron pressed the mechanism on the handle of the engraving knife.
The spiritual liquid within the tube seeped into the engraved lines along the tip of the knife.
As stone chips flew, the silver-white liquid filled the gaps.
Half an hour later.
When Ron completed the last stroke of the engraving, he straightened up.
He looked down and saw that the stone bed had transformed into a huge alchemical array.
The patterns of the array resembled winding silver-white snakes.
The strange designs looked like mysterious constellations.
And in the east, west, south, and north directions, there were four hollow circular loops.
The circular loops were interconnected, and in the very center of the stone bed, there was a cross-shaped scepter pattern.
“Hoo…”
At this moment, Ron exhaled a breath of stale air and shook his somewhat sore and stiff neck.
After resting, he carefully arranged the alchemical materials he had bought in Kura City, placing them one by one according to the array.
In the eastern loop, he placed a fresh and mature Wind Whisper Orchid.
In the western loop, he placed a cup of spiritual clear spring water.
In the southern loop, he placed a candle made from deep-sea fish oil.
In the northern loop, he placed a handful of iron peak rock powder that reflected arc light.
After arranging the alchemical materials, Ron took out four energy crystals and placed them on the connecting lines between the four loops and the central scepter pattern.
And in the very center of the stone bed, corresponding to the ceiling of the stone house, Ron placed a palm-sized, circular mercury mirror.
“It’s finally done…”
Ron’s eyes flashed, and then he extended his hand, placing it above the center of the stone bed.
He took out a dagger from his waist and lightly cut his wrist.
In an instant, a stream of warm blood flowed down his wrist, dripping onto the center of the cross.
As more and more blood dripped, it slowly spread along the cross-shaped grooves, extending towards the surrounding array patterns.
At this moment, a strange scene occurred.
The originally dried silver-white spiritual liquid, now soaked in fresh blood, surprisingly merged into one, emitting a bright, red and white light.
If an outsider were to see this, they might think it was some kind of evil ritual.
However, Ron’s expression remained unchanged, his demeanor very calm.
Because the system intelligence had previously indicated that this sealed item would not cause any harm or impact to people before or after its unsealing.
And this system was his foundation, and it had never been wrong.
Therefore, Ron confidently and boldly continued to release his blood.
When the blood completely covered all the runic pathways of the entire alchemical array, Ron’s face was already very pale from excessive blood loss, and he even felt dizzy and weak.
He quickly applied medicine and bandaged his wrist, and drank two bottles of life-force-rich potions.
After recovering slightly, Ron didn’t hesitate and quickly lay down on the stone bed.
The blood did not stain his clothes; instead, it seemed to have a membrane, supporting his body.
At this moment, Ron placed the sealed coin on his forehead.
Then he took out the last energy crystal, placed it on his lower abdomen, and covered it with his clasped hands.
At this point, Ron closed his eyes, then his lips parted.
He uttered a cryptic, difficult-to-understand sentence in a language not common in the current world.
“O Rebellious God of Thieves.”
“You are resourceful and cunning, you are insidious and treacherous.”
“You hide in the night, you lurk in the day.”
“You covet the authority of the gods, you yearn for the arrival of truth.”
“You are a witness to history, you are the sole insider.”
“…Destiny cycles endlessly, death is rebirth!”
“If you have passed away, I shall inherit your will.”
“Forever free and forward, until I ascend to the divine throne!”
“…”
After chanting this prayer, Ron opened his eyes.
His gaze turned to the mirror above his head, staring at his reflection in the mirror.
Buzz!
In an instant, Ron felt as if he was hallucinating, and he heard a mysterious, low murmur in his ears.
The patterns of the alchemical array also suddenly burst forth with a powerful flash.
The energy spirit stones at the four connection points melted instantly.
And the alchemical materials in the four loops—east, west, south, and north—also changed dramatically.
The four petals of the Wind Whisper Orchid swayed gently, as if caressed by a breeze.
Ripples spread across the surface of the clear spring water, as if a stone had been dropped into it.
The cotton wick of the fish oil candle suddenly ignited without a flame, its bright light illuminating the entire stone chamber.
The iron peak rock powder seemed to encounter an earthquake, every particle joyfully dancing.
The spiritual essence contained in all four alchemical materials was extracted.
Earth, water, wind, and fire—the four elements corresponded to each other.
At this moment, the energy crystal in Ron’s hand also melted and dissipated.
And the mirror hanging above the stone chamber began to shake, like boiling water steaming.
Whoosh!
The next second, Ron only felt the sealed coin on his forehead suddenly merge into his mind.
Then the world spun, and a powerful suction pulled him from the stone bed.
When Ron’s vision returned to normal, he found that the surrounding environment had become extremely unfamiliar.
“Where am I?”
Ron was a little bewildered, seeing that everything within three zhang (about 10 meters) was dim.
Beyond three zhang, the area was ethereal and seemed to not exist.
He subconsciously tried to step forward, but after only a few steps, a sudden repulsive force pushed him straight back.
When he opened his eyes again, he was back in the stone chamber.
