100: Chapter 100 Zhao Lei and Li Qiang's Midnight Sneak Attack

The cave was so quiet that only the sound of heartbeats remained, the air thick with a subtle and ambiguous atmosphere.

Wang Yuyan lowered her gaze, her long eyelashes trembling slightly as her voice became as faint as a mosquito's hum.

“Ye Yun, I...”

Before she could finish, Ye Yun suddenly reached out and gently cupped her face, his thumb stroking her flushed cheek.

Wang Yuyan trembled all over, raising her eyes to meet his deep gaze; her heart was beating so fast it nearly jumped out of her chest.

Ye Yun slowly leaned in, his forehead resting against hers, their noses touching.

His breath was warm and scorching, carrying a faint scent of blood.

Yet, Wang Yuyan felt it was the most reassuring scent in the world.

“Yuyan.”

Ye Yun called her name softly, his voice low and tender.

Wang Yuyan closed her eyes, her eyelashes fluttering violently as endless expectation and shyness welled up in her heart.

She knew what would happen next, but she didn't want to hide, nor could she bear to.

Ye Yun's lips lightly pressed against her forehead, gentle and cherished, as if treating the most precious treasure in existence.

Wang Yuyan shuddered, tears welling up again—but these were tears of joy.

“Silly girl, why are you crying?”

Ye Yun laughed softly, his lips moving down to gently kiss away the tear stains at the corners of her eyes.

Wang Yuyan opened her eyes and looked at him, her gaze filled with tenderness and dependence.

She reached out, wrapping her arms around his neck and burying her face in his chest, whispering softly.

“Ye Yun... I like you.”

Ye Yun pulled her close, his chin resting on the top of her head as he said softly.

“I know.”

“And you?”

Wang Yuyan looked up at him expectantly.

“Do you like me?”

Ye Yun looked at her, his eyes full of tenderness and doting as he nodded gently:

“I do.”

Wang Yuyan smiled, her eyes curving like crescent moons, looking like a blooming flower.

She buried her face in his chest once more.

Her hands tightly circled his waist, as if she wanted to merge him into her own body.

The two embraced like this, neither speaking, just quietly feeling each other's warmth and heartbeats.

The night outside the cave deepened, and moonlight spilled in through the entrance.

It spread a layer of silvery-white soft light across the ground.

After a long time, Wang Yuyan suddenly looked up, her cheeks flushed, her voice carrying a hint of shyness.

“Ye Yun... you still have injuries. Lie down and rest. I'll keep watch for you.”

Ye Yun shook his head.

“Your injuries haven't healed yet; you need to rest. I'm fine, this bit of injury is nothing.”

“No!”

Wang Yuyan looked at him stubbornly.

“You risked your life for me, now it's my turn to take care of you. If you don't lie down, I'll ignore you.”

Seeing her serious expression, Ye Yun smiled helplessly and obediently lay down.

Wang Yuyan moved to his side, leaning gently on his shoulder, her small hand holding his, fingers interlaced.

“Sleep,”

she said softly.

“I'll stay here with you.”

Ye Yun closed his eyes, feeling the warmth and softness coming from his palm, a reassured smile playing on his lips.

Soon, he fell into a deep sleep.

Wang Yuyan turned her head to look at his peaceful sleeping face, a wave of endless tenderness rising in her heart.

She gently raised her head and pressed a fleeting kiss onto his lips.

Immediately after, she was so ashamed she buried her face in his chest, not daring to look up again.

...

The night deepened, and moonlight spilled through the cave entrance, spreading a layer of silvery-white soft light on the ground.

The cave was quiet and warm.

The two embracing figures were immersed in deep sleep, their breathing long and steady.

Wang Yuyan leaned on Ye Yun's shoulder, her small hand still holding his with fingers interlaced.

She wasn't fast asleep, but merely had her eyes closed, a faint smile still lingering on her lips.

That fleeting kiss from just now had kept her heart from fully calming down even until now.

[He really said he likes me... he wasn't lying to me.]

At the thought, Wang Yuyan's cheeks burned again, and she peeked at Ye Yun's quiet sleeping face.

Endless sweetness and satisfaction welled up in her heart.

Just then, an extremely faint sound came from outside the cave.

A rustling, like the night wind brushing through the grass, yet carrying a hint of unnatural deliberation.

Wang Yuyan stiffened and snapped her eyes open.

She held her breath and listened intently; the faint sound grew closer and clearer—footsteps!

And there was more than one person!

Her heart instantly leaped into her throat, and she instinctively wanted to wake Ye Yun.

But as soon as she moved, two dark shadows lunged into the cave like lightning!

“Die!”

A low, explosive shout rang out.

Two sharp palm winds, carrying the thick Mystic Power of a Great Martial Master Level 5,

slammed ruthlessly toward Ye Yun's head!

Wang Yuyan's pupils constricted; she didn't have time to think, her body moving before her conscious mind could.

She lunged over Ye Yun, using her own back to block those two lethal palm strikes.

“Bang!”

The dull sound of impact exploded in the cave, and Wang Yuyan coughed up a mouthful of blood.

She was sent flying like a kite with a broken string, slamming heavily against the cave wall before falling to the ground.

“Yuyan—!”

Ye Yun woke instantly, met with the sight of Wang Yuyan vomiting blood and collapsing.

His eyes turned blood-red in an instant, and the Mystic Power around him erupted like a volcanic explosion.

The violent aura of a Great Martial Master Sixth Level swept through the entire cave!

The two dark shadows—precisely Li Qiang and Zhao Lei—

were shaken half a step back by this sudden aura, terror flashing across their faces.

But it quickly turned into ruthlessness.

“He's heavily injured and hasn't recovered; he won't last long! Attack together and kill him!”

Li Qiang barked, lunging first with palm winds like blades, aiming straight for Ye Yun's throat.

Zhao Lei followed close behind, his hands forming claws as his Mystic Power transformed into sharp claw shadows,

ruthlessly tearing toward Ye Yun's vital points.

Both were at the Peak of the fifth level; their combined power was terrifying.

Ye Yun didn't dodge at all; the burning snow sword unsheathed instantly, its fiery red sword light tearing through the darkness as he slashed at Li Qiang.

“Clang!”

Sword and palm collided; Li Qiang groaned and was knocked back several steps, his palm dripping with blood.

His face changed drastically, looking at Ye Yun in disbelief.

Injured this badly, and he still has such terrifying combat power?!

Zhao Lei took the opportunity to pounce from the side, his sharp claws tearing toward the back of Ye Yun's heart.

Without even turning his head, Ye Yun threw a left-handed punch, the first form of the Setting Sun Fist—Rising Setting Sun!

Golden fist light and claw shadows collided with a boom.

Zhao Lei screamed as the bones in his entire arm shattered, and he was sent flying.

“How is this possible!”

Li Qiang was terrified out of his wits and turned to flee.

Ye Yun shifted his feet, executing Flowing Cloud Steps to the limit, catching up in an instant.

The burning snow sword swept across, its fiery red sword light cutting through Li Qiang's waist.

Blood sprayed as Li Qiang's body was severed in two, falling to the ground, never to rise again.

Zhao Lei had just struggled to his feet when he saw this; he was so scared his Soul Flying Away and Spirit Scattering, as he scrambled toward the cave entrance.

Ye Yun raised his hand, and the burning snow sword flew from his grip, turning into a streak of fiery red light.

It instantly pierced through the back of his heart, pinning him ruthlessly to the cave wall.

Zhao Lei's eyes widened as he looked down at the sword tip protruding from his chest, his lips twitching twice.

His head slumped to the side, his breath completely gone.

Two corpses lay in pools of blood, and the cave fell into a dead silence.
