95: Chapter 95 You Can Still Play Even After You're Dead
The entire person flew backward like a kite with a broken string, snapping a tree as thick as a bowl behind him.
Landing on the ground, he twitched a few times before losing all signs of life.
The wild laughter on the face of the burly Disciple froze instantly, and his pupils dilated sharply.
Fear surged into his heart like a tidal wave.
His legs went weak, he retreated instinctively, and he stammered, "You, you..."
Ye Yun did not even look at him; he moved again, a residual image flashing by, and slapped his palm onto the Disciple's crown.
The crisp sound of shattering bone was exceptionally clear in the night, and the burly Disciple widened his eyes.
He fell straight down and never managed to get up again.
Two corpses lay among the dead leaves, blood slowly seeping into the soil.
Ye Yun bent down and unfastened the Storage Pouch from their waists.
Opening them to take a glance, a satisfied arc curled at the corners of his mouth.
Inside were quite a few Yao Beast ears and a few Spiritual Plants, adding up to more than what he had harvested in a day.
"Robbing a Fellow Daoist is still the fastest way," Ye Yun weighed the Storage Pouch and sighed softly.
"As expected, 'killing and arson bring golden belts,' the ancients truly did not deceive me. This business of robbery is worth studying carefully."
He tucked the Storage Pouch into his robes and casually waved out two blasts of Mystic Power, blasting two shallow pits into the ground.
He kicked the corpses into the pits, covering them with soil and dead leaves, counting it as a simple disposal.
After finishing all this, Ye Yun returned to the bluestone, closed his eyes to rest, and waited for dawn.
...
The next morning, sunlight pierced through the branches and leaves, scattering into the forest.
Ye Yun opened his eyes, stretched his muscles and bones, feeling full of energy.
He did not rush to continue deeper, but instead found a fork in the road with a wide view.
He leaned leisurely against a large tree.
With his arms crossed, his gaze stared lazily at the path coming and going.
Waiting for the rabbit to hit the tree stump, waiting for prey to come to his door.
About half an hour later, a figure walked over from the distance.
It was a thin Outer Sect Disciple, with cultivation around the 10th Stage of Martial Master Realm, looking around vigilantly.
He saw Ye Yun leaning under the tree, his footsteps paused, and he examined him carefully for a few glances.
Suddenly, his expression changed drastically, and his body trembled slightly.
Ye Yun had become famous after one battle in the Life-and-Death Arena, and there were few Outer Sect Disciples who did not recognize him.
After the Disciple recognized Ye Yun, panic flashed in his eyes, and he quickly lowered his head.
Pretending not to see him, he quickened his pace to try and bypass him.
"Stop."
Ye Yun spoke lightly; the voice was not loud, but it clearly entered the Disciple's ears.
The Disciple's whole body stiffened, not daring to move again, and he turned around stiffly.
He squeezed out a smile that was uglier than crying on his face.
"Ye, Senior Brother Ye Yun, what instructions do you have?"
Ye Yun raised his hand, his tone casual.
"Bring me your Storage Pouch."
The Disciple's expression collapsed instantly, and he gritted his teeth, hesitating for a moment.
Finally, he obediently unfastened the Storage Pouch, handed it over with both hands, his voice carrying a sob.
"Senior Brother, this is what I managed to save with great difficulty, please have mercy..."
Ye Yun took the Storage Pouch and scanned it with his Mystic Power.
His brows furrowed slightly, he threw it back casually, and spat out two words.
"Poor wretch, get lost."
The Disciple took the Storage Pouch, as if granted amnesty, and scrambled away, disappearing into the dense forest.
Ye Yun continued to lean against the tree, waiting for the next one.
For the next half of the day, he stopped seven or eight passing Outer Sect Disciples.
Most of them recognized Ye Yun and obediently handed over their Storage Pouch.
Ye Yun picked and chose, throwing back the ones he didn't like, and letting those with good attitudes go after a brief lecture.
For those who cursed and had bad attitudes, he simply punched them to death and looted them clean.
In just a few hours.
Ye Yun's Storage Pouch had gained dozens more pairs of Yao Beast ears and over a dozen Spiritual Plants, a bountiful harvest.
"These people are truly boring to rob; none of them have even a shred of backbone, all spineless."
Ye Yun shook his head inwardly and looked at the sky.
The sun was already slanting west, and no one had been seen on this road for a long time, so he figured it was time to change locations.
He stood up, patted his robes, chose a direction leading deeper, and walked away slowly.
...
Ye Yun followed the mountain terrain eastward, passing through several dense forests.
Suddenly, he heard fighting sounds and a woman's angry reprimand from ahead.
He raised an eyebrow, lightened his footsteps, and approached quietly.
Pushing aside the dense bushes, the scene before him made his gaze freeze.
In a clearing not far ahead.
A woman in a pink dress was surrounded by four Outer Sect Disciples.
Backed against a boulder, holding a short sword, she was struggling to hold on.
The woman's clothes were disheveled, and her skirt was slashed in several places by blades.
Her fair, slender calves were exposed, and the fabric on her shoulder was also torn.
The smooth skin beneath her collarbone was vaguely visible.
Her body was covered in wounds and bloodstains, her face pale, yet she still stubbornly held up her short sword, unwilling to fall.
It was Wang Yuyan.
The four Disciples surrounding her all had cultivation around the Great Martial Artist First Level, slightly lower than Wang Yuyan's Great Martial Artist - 2nd Stage.
But relying on their numbers, they forced her to retreat step by step, leaving her with no power to fight back.
The four of them wore lewd smiles on their faces.
Their eyes wandered recklessly over Wang Yuyan's exposed skin, and their mouths spewed constant filth.
"Little beauty, stop struggling. Obediently hand over your Storage Pouch and let us brothers have some fun; maybe we can spare your life."
A pockmarked Disciple chuckled, his gaze glued to Wang Yuyan's chest.
"Exactly, exactly. Such a beautiful little girl, it would be a pity if you died. Let us have some fun, we guarantee to make you feel like you're in heaven."
Another pockmarked, acne-ridden Disciple licked his lips and reached out toward Wang Yuyan's chest.
Wang Yuyan dodged sideways, sweeping her short sword to force the person back.
But her physical strength was severely overdrawn; the sword strike was soft and powerless, unable to harm anyone.
Her eyes were red, filled with despair and humiliation, and her voice was hoarse.
"You... you don't come over! If you come any closer, I will kill myself!"
"Kill yourself?" The pockmarked man sneered.
"Better if you're dead; the corpse can still be played with. Anyway, there are many Yao Beasts in Black Wind Ridge. Once we're done, we'll just throw you into the mountains; who would know it was you?"
The other three burst into even more rampant laughter upon hearing this.
Wang Yuyan's face turned completely pale, her hand holding the short sword trembling slightly, and endless despair welled up in her heart.
"Could it be... am I really going to die here? And be defiled by this group of beasts?"
Just as Wang Yuyan was in utter despair, preparing to bite her tongue and end her life.
A cold voice suddenly exploded, ringing in the four people's ears like a thunderclap.
"You are courting death."
The four were shocked and turned their heads in unison.
They saw a blue figure slowly walking out from the bushes, posture upright, face cold and stern.
An asphyxiating chill emanated from his whole body.
It was Ye Yun.
The pockmarked man's pupils contracted sharply, he retreated half a step instinctively, his voice trembling.
"Ye... Ye Yun?!"
No one among the Outer Sect Disciples was unaware of Ye Yun's fame after the battle in the Life-and-Death Arena.
That was a ruthless person capable of slaying someone who reached the Great Martial Master Level 5 after taking a qi burst pill.
The four of them, all at the Great Martial Artist First Level, combined wouldn't be enough to fill the gaps in his teeth.
