41: Chapter 41 The Final Indulgence

Zhao Shanhe?

Perfect, he also wanted to meet this City Lord of Shiyun City.

Now that Ye Yun's strength had greatly increased, he was no longer the weak youth who could be easily manipulated. Even though Zhao Shanhe was a powerhouse at the third level of the Great Martial Master realm, he wasn't afraid in the slightest.

What the System had given him was not just an increase in strength, but also the courage to forge ahead undeterred.

"Rest assured, Uncle Su, I have my own plans."

Ye Yun smiled slightly, his tone filled with confidence.

Su Zhennan nodded and said no more.

He knew Ye Yun had a stubborn personality; once he made a decision, he wouldn't change it easily.

He stood up and said,

"It's getting late. You two should rest early. You need to conserve your energy for The Great Competition tomorrow."

After saying that, Su Zhennan turned and left the living room, leaving the two of them some private space.

Only Ye Yun and Su Wanqing remained in the living room, and the atmosphere gradually became intimate.

The flickering lamplight reflected on Su Wanqing's shy cheeks, making her look even more moving.

Looking at the lovely girl beside him, a heat gradually rose in Ye Yun's heart.

He leaned close to her ear, his voice low and raspy with a hint of magnetic charm.

"Wanqing, The Great Competition is tomorrow. I want to relax tonight and spend some quality time with you."

Su Wanqing's whole body trembled, and her cheeks instantly turned beet red, like a ripe apple.

She lowered her head, her long eyelashes fluttering slightly, her hands nervously clutching the hem of her clothes, her voice as soft as a mosquito's buzz.

"Ye Yun..."

"I want to be with you." Ye Yun held her hand, looking at her with burning eyes.

"I've been so busy with Cultivation these past few days that I haven't been able to spend time with you. Let me make it up to you tonight."

Su Wanqing's cheeks grew even redder, her heart beating so fast it felt like it would jump out of her chest.

She could feel the love and possessiveness in Ye Yun's eyes; her heart was filled with both shyness and anticipation.

She looked up and met Ye Yun's fiery gaze. A flash of panic crossed her eyes before she lowered her head again and gave a soft nod, a silent consent.

Seeing her shy and submissive appearance, Ye Yun was overjoyed. Without further hesitation, he stood up and swept her into his arms.

"Ah!"

Su Wanqing let out a startled cry and instinctively wrapped her arms around his neck, her cheek pressed against Ye Yun's chest.

Feeling his firm muscles and strong heartbeat, a faint blush spread across her entire body.

Carrying her, Ye Yun strode toward Su Wanqing's bedroom.

Along the way, Su Wanqing kept her eyes tightly shut, not daring to look around, her cheeks hot enough to boil an egg.

After entering the room, Ye Yun gently laid her down on the soft bed.

He looked down at the shy girl in his arms, the fire in his eyes growing more intense. He reached out and gently removed her clothes.

Su Wanqing's whole body was tense. She closed her eyes bashfully, letting Ye Yun have his way.

As her clothes fell away piece by piece, the girl's exquisite body was exposed under the light, her skin as white as jade.

Like the finest mutton-fat jade, it invited endless imagination.

Ye Yun leaned down and gently kissed her lips, his movements both tender and domineering.

Su Wanqing trembled and responded clumsily, her hands instinctively wrapping around his neck as her body pressed tightly against his.

The atmosphere in the room became increasingly intimate, the air filled with hormones and the girl's unique fragrance.

Ye Yun picked up Su Wanqing, walked to the bed, gently laid her down, and then blew out the oil lamp on the table.

The night was deep, and the room fell into silence.

Only the sound of their steady breathing and the occasional soft moan remained, weaving together into a moving love song.

This night was destined to be lingering and unforgettable, adding a touch of tenderness to the upcoming Great Competition.

...

Inside the Shiyun City Lord's Mansion, lanterns were hung and decorations were up. Although the drums and music hadn't started yet, it was already bustling with people, a scene of lively activity.

Zhao Shanhe was dressed in a brocade Official Robe. Most of his usual majesty was withdrawn, replaced by a face full of eager smiles.

He stood at the mansion gate personally to welcome guests, the wrinkles at the corners of his eyes deepening into furrows from his forced smile.

The guards behind him stood solemnly on both sides, not daring to breathe loudly. The entire City Lord's Mansion exuded an air of cautious respect.

Before long, four figures slowly approached, instantly attracting everyone's attention.

Leading them was a middle-aged man dressed in a blue-gray Daoist Robe with an ancient longsword hanging at his waist. The sword tassel fluttered in the wind; his face was resolute, and his eyes were as sharp as an eagle's.

He exuded a sense of awe-inspiring righteousness; he was the envoy of the Qingfeng Sword Sect.

Following closely behind was a fiery-tempered old man in a red robe. His hair and beard were bristling, and he walked with the force of a gale, each step causing the ground to vibrate slightly.

With an impatient look on his face, he was clearly the envoy of the Lieyang Martial Gate.

The third person was a woman in a moon-white long dress, the hem embroidered with subtle ice crystal patterns like falling snow and frost.

Her skin was whiter than snow, her features as beautiful as a painting, with a delicate nose and cherry lips. She was as stunningly beautiful as a Fairy who did not consume the food of mortals.

However, she was surrounded by a bone-chilling coldness, and her eyes were as indifferent as ice, as if nothing in the world could enter her sight. She was the envoy of the Luoxue Sect.

This woman appeared to be the youngest, no more than twenty years old, yet her aura was the most refined and majestic, faintly overpowering the other three.

Clearly, she was the strongest among the four.

The last person was a man who looked like a scholar, dressed in a moon-white robe, with a face as fair as jade.

Holding a folding fan, he looked to be around thirty years old and had a gentle and refined temperament.

With a faint smile on his face, he appeared approachable; he was the envoy of the Tianyang Academy.

"The arrival of the four envoys brings great honor to our Shiyun City!"

Zhao Shanhe hurriedly stepped forward a few paces, cupped his hands in greeting, and spoke with extreme respect.

"This old man has been waiting here for a long time. Please, come inside the mansion to rest!"

The middle-aged man from the Qingfeng Sword Sect only nodded slightly, his gaze sweeping over the mansion with a hint of aloofness, saying nothing.

The fiery old man from the Lieyang Martial Gate snorted and spoke gruffly.

"No need for formalities. We are only here for The Great Competition. Just get us settled as soon as possible."

The woman from the Luoxue Sect didn't even spare a glance for Zhao Shanhe as she walked straight into the mansion. Her cold aura caused the surrounding temperature to drop several degrees.

Only the scholar envoy from the Tianyang Academy still wore a gentle smile and returned the greeting.

"City Lord Zhao is too kind. Please forgive us for the intrusion."

Zhao Shanhe understood and did not feel embarrassed.

The Tianyang Academy was founded by the royal family of the Tianyang Kingdom, and all City Lords in the world were appointed by the royal family and fell under their jurisdiction.

That was why the envoy from the Tianyang Academy was more polite to him.

Meanwhile, the other three great Sects were transcendent entities that didn't care for a mere City Lord at all.

Moreover, Shiyun City had not had a Disciple selected by the Four Great Sects for five consecutive years, so these envoys naturally felt a bit of disdain.

Zhao Shanhe quickly led the four inside, while stepping aside to reveal a nineteen-year-old young man behind him.

"Tianlong, quickly greet the four envoys."

This young man was Zhao Shanhe's eldest son, Zhao Tianlong. He was dressed in silver-white Martial Attire and had a tall, straight posture.

His features bore some resemblance to Zhao Shanhe's, but his eyes were filled with uncontrollable excitement and nervousness.
