219: Yanagawa Yoko

At the Shibuya crossing, crowds surged, and the neon lights of giant billboards, bizarre and colorful, painted the night sky.

Lin Xiao walked among the people, yet seemed out of place with the clamor.

He wore simple casual clothes, his figure tall and straight, his handsome features sharply defined under the shifting light and shadow.

His aura was too pure, too pure to belong to this mundane world.

“Ano… Sumimasen!”

A fashionably dressed Japan girl mustered her courage to stop him, her cheeks flushed, and handed him her phone.

“Could we exchange LINE IDs?”

Lin Xiao’s steps did not falter; he walked straight past her as if she were just air.

The girl’s smile froze on her face as she watched his cold, distant back, feeling a bit lost.

Several companions nearby chuckled, but were soon drawn to new targets.

Lin Xiao had encountered such approaches no less than ten times since he set foot on this land.

He couldn't be bothered to deal with them.

He had reined in his Sword Intent, disguising himself as an ordinary person, but the extraordinary aura emanating from his very bones could not be completely concealed, making him still stand out in the crowd.

He walked through the crowded streets and entered the Shinkansen station bound for Kyoto.

The train was so packed that people were rubbing shoulders.

The air was a suffocating mix of various perfumes, sweat, and food smells.

Lin Xiao finally found a corner where he could stand, leaning against the wall at the carriage connection, and closed his eyes.

His Divine Sense, like an invisible net, filtered out all useless information, leaving only the purest Spiritual Qi flow.

However, at this moment, a wave of emotions mixed with fear, shame, and helplessness abruptly intruded into his perception range.

It was very faint, but in his clear Divine Sense world, it was exceptionally clear.

Lin Xiao did not open his eyes.

His perception turned to the source of that emotion.

A girl in a high school uniform was being squeezed in the crowd, her body stiff, clutching her backpack tightly.

The girl, Yanagawa Yoko, felt like she was going crazy.

From the moment she got on the train, she felt a hand unfaithfully touching her back.

At first, she thought it was accidental due to the large number of people.

But as the train moved, that hand became increasingly brazen, tracing her waistline, constantly probing downwards.

It was a pervert!

Yanagawa Yoko felt a chill run through her, her mind a blank.

She wanted to scream, but in this crowded carriage where everyone’s face was expressionless, she couldn’t make a sound.

Her personality had always been timid, and she dared not cause a commotion in such a public place.

Call the police?

Her phone was in her backpack, and she could barely move now.

Perhaps… she should get off at the next stop.

Yanagawa Yoko thought despairingly, only able to clutch her backpack tightly in front of her, her body trembling slightly.

However, her retreat only emboldened the other party.

That wicked hand had already reached around to her front, aiming directly for her backpack on her chest, attempting to Break through her last line of defense.

Tears of humiliation welled up in Yanagawa Yoko’s eyes, just as she was about to collapse.

A figure appeared before her without warning, blocking the gap between her and the man.

Yanagawa Yoko looked up in astonishment.

It was an extremely handsome boy, with black hair and black eyes, looking calmly ahead, one hand casually gripping the overhead handrail.

And his other hand was firmly clamping a man’s wrist, wearing a cheap watch and with a burn scar on the back of his hand, with an irresistible force.

The forty-something, balding middle-aged man’s lewd smile instantly froze, turning into terror.

“You… what are you doing! Let go of me!”

He struggled violently, trying to pull his hand free, but the hand clamping him did not budge.

“Baka! Do you want to die? Do you know who I am?”

Seeing that he couldn't break free, the man began to curse, a stream of vulgarities, even trying to push Lin Xiao with his other hand.

Lin Xiao finally slowly turned his head and calmly looked at him with his dark eyes.

Just one glance.

The man’s curses stopped abruptly.

He felt as if he had been doused with ice water, a chill from the depths of his Soul instantly sweeping through his entire body.

What kind of gaze was that?

There was no anger, no killing intent, only a void.

He felt as if he wasn't looking at a person, but gazing up at a ten-thousand-foot snow mountain, staring into a bottomless ancient well.

The immense pressure made it almost impossible for him to breathe, his legs went soft, and he almost fell to his knees.

“I…”

He opened his mouth, but couldn't utter a single word, only his teeth chattering incessantly.

The surrounding passengers finally noticed the anomaly and cast curious glances.

The train arrived at the station.

Lin Xiao released his hand.

The middle-aged man immediately collapsed to the ground, and before he could react, he was lifted by two station security personnel who had rushed over and dragged off the train.

Due to this sudden incident, Yanagawa Yoko and Lin Xiao, as those involved, also had to get off the train to cooperate with the investigation.

Standing on the empty platform, with the evening breeze blowing, Yanagawa Yoko finally felt alive again.

She looked at the quiet figure standing beside her and bowed deeply.

“I’m sorry! I’m truly very sorry! I’ve caused you trouble!”

Her voice was still tearful, filled with apology and gratitude.

Lin Xiao waved his hand, indicating it was nothing.

He had merely acted on impulse.

If he didn't need to conceal his identity now, that man would already be a corpse.

Yanagawa Yoko straightened up and cautiously observed Lin Xiao.

The boy in front of her was more handsome than any idol star she had ever seen, and he had an indescribable calm demeanor that made people feel very at ease.

She organized her thoughts and spoke again, this time in clear, standard Mandarin.

“Excuse me… are you traveling to Japan from Dragon Country?”

Lin Xiao turned his head in surprise, looking at this high school girl who had just been so shaken.

Not only could she tell he wasn't local, but she could also accurately say “Dragon Country” instead of other terms, and her Mandarin was fluent and standard, without any accent.

This made him a little interested in the girl.
