206: Chapter 206 I want this stone.

Su Yun looked in the direction the needle was pointing.

He tilted his chin slightly.

"This looks promising."

Holding the compass, Su Yun avoided the crowded main thoroughfare and followed the needle's guidance forward.

Along the way, he passed several large raw stone exhibition booths.

At a booth on the left, a stone as large as a washbasin had been cut in half.

The cross-section was nothing but white stone debris; there wasn't a hint of green.

A pot-bellied, bald boss sat on the ground, slapping his thighs and wailing.

"My money!"

"I spent three million on this material just to hear the sound of it being cut!"

"I can't go on like this!"

Several employees were frantically trying to pull him up.

Su Yun took one look and walked right past.

Even an immortal cannot judge an inch of jade.

These people couldn't even sense the most basic spiritual energy, relying purely on flashlights and luck to gamble.

This was the typical scenario of losing nine times out of ten.

Su Yun didn't stop, continuing toward the most remote corner.

The further he went, the fewer people there were.

The surrounding booths disappeared, and even the lighting grew significantly dimmer.

An area enclosed by blue iron sheets appeared ahead.

A sign hung on it: Miscellaneous Storage Area, No Unauthorized Entry.

Su Yun stopped.

The needle of the compass in his hand pointed dead straight toward the inside of the iron fence.

Moreover, it was vibrating more and more violently, as if the needle were about to pop out.

"The good stuff is inside."

Su Yun glanced left and right, finding that no one was paying attention to him.

He bypassed the gap in the iron fence and walked inside.

The storage area was a total mess.

Discarded exhibition boards, broken canopy frames, and tattered cardboard boxes were scattered everywhere.

In a corner, there was a large pile of stepping stones used to anchor tents and canopies.

These stepping stones varied in size and were extremely irregular in shape.

All of them were caked in dry yellow mud, with moss growing on some.

They looked no different from construction waste dug up from the roadside.

Su Yun looked down at the compass in his hand.

The needle was jumping like crazy.

It emitted a faint buzzing sound.

Su Yun approached the pile of stepping stones with the compass.

He moved forward step by step.

The needle finally pointed to a half-meter-high, dark, massive stone.

This black boulder was wedged at the very bottom of a rusty iron frame.

Its surface was pitted and covered in dried mud; it was so ugly that looking at it twice was a chore.

Su Yun tucked the compass into his sleeve.

He walked over and squatted down in front of the black boulder.

He extended his right hand, curling his index and middle fingers.

He knocked twice firmly on the surface of the black stone.

*Thud, thud.*

It produced a very dull sound.

The moment he knocked, an extremely pure and massive surge of spiritual energy rushed from his fingers straight into his arm.

Su Yun was overjoyed.

This was definitely the best of the best!

The spiritual energy contained within was more than ten times stronger than that of the Imperial Green he had obtained at the antique market last time.

As long as he could get this stone back and absorb it,

His cultivation would surely increase.

Just as Su Yun was calculating how to take the stone away,

A series of hurried footsteps suddenly came from outside the storage area,

Accompanied by rough shouting.

"Hurry up, hurry up! What are you dawdling for?"

"There was such a big blunder today. Do you all want to lose your jobs?"

A middle-aged fat man wearing a black suit and a staff badge around his neck strode in.

He held a walkie-talkie, his face dripping with sweat and his jowls quivering.

This man was Manager Wang, the venue's logistics supervisor.

Behind Manager Wang followed two workers in blue overalls.

The workers were pushing a rusty flatbed trolley, panting from exhaustion.

Manager Wang walked straight to the pile of stepping stones and pointed at the rocks on the ground, shouting loudly.

"Move all these broken stones out of here!"

"I don't know what happened, but a huge sinkhole opened up in the concrete road outside Hall 3!"

"The undercarriages of several big bosses' sports cars got scratched up!"

"The organizers just called me over and chewed me out; they almost told me to pack my bags and get lost!"

"You two, hurry up and haul these stones over there to fill that hole!"

"Get moving!"

The two workers looked at the pile of large stones with miserable expressions.

"Manager Wang, these stones are too heavy. How can the two of us move them by hand?"

"Yeah, Manager, we'll throw out our backs. We should go to the logistics department and borrow a small forklift."

Manager Wang glared at them, raised his walkie-talkie, and rapped it directly against one of the workers' hard hats.

It made a loud *clack*.

"Borrow a forklift my ass!"

"By the time you finish the paperwork and drive a forklift over here, the damn exhibition will be over!"

"Two people to a stone! Use the trolley to haul them!"

"Hurry up! If this gets delayed, your bonuses and wages for this month are gone!"

The two workers shrank back after being scolded, not daring to talk back.

To keep their jobs, they could only helplessly roll up their sleeves and step forward.

Lao Li, one of the workers, walked up to the pile of stones.

He immediately saw Su Yun squatting on the ground.

Su Yun was wearing a purple robe and a black mask, looking extremely out of place in this storage area.

Lao Li froze and stopped in his tracks.

"Hey, kid, what are you doing?"

"This is the venue's logistics area. Outsiders aren't allowed in. Get out of here."

Su Yun ignored him, his hand still firmly pressed against the black boulder.

The other worker walked over to the black boulder, spat into his palms, and rubbed his hands together vigorously.

"Lao Li, forget about him. The work is more important."

"Let's move this big one first. This one is the heaviest and largest; hauling it over will be enough to fill half that hole."

Lao Li nodded, bent down, and reached into the gap beneath the black boulder.

The two of them, one on each side, wedged their hands under the stone.

"One, two, three, lift!"

The two workers exerted themselves simultaneously, their faces turning bright red and their necks bulging.

But the black boulder remained motionless, not even wobbling.

Manager Wang was jumping with anxiety in the back.

"Didn't you two eat today?"

"Did the steamed buns from the canteen this morning go to the dogs?"

"Use some strength! Get it on the trolley!"

Lao Li panted heavily and straightened his back to look at Su Yun.

"Kid, could you please move? Don't block us from moving the stone."

Su Yun stood up.

He raised his right hand and gripped Lao Li's shoulder.

Lao Li felt his shoulder grow heavy and struggled for a moment.

He found that Su Yun's hand was like an iron pincer, gripping him so tightly that he couldn't break free at all.

"What's wrong with you? Why are you getting physical?" Lao Li snapped.

Manager Wang also saw what was happening and strode over.

He looked Su Yun up and down; the man's outfit didn't make him look like a respectable person.

"Who are you?"

"What are you doing here causing trouble in the logistics area?"

"Didn't security check your ticket? Get out of here, don't interfere with our work!"

Su Yun didn't let go of Lao Li's shoulder.

He turned his head and looked at the sweating Manager Wang.

He extended his left hand and pointed at the mud-covered black boulder on the ground.

"I want this stone."
