25: Chapter 25 Yin-Yang Road Crematorium! The service here is a bit too hot!
“Screech—”
A screech of brakes rang out.
The No. 444 bus finally came to a stop.
“We've arrived... at the terminal...”
The faceless driver's voice trembled with a hint of relief.
It swore that in all its life as a ghost, it had never driven such a frustrating bus!
As soon as the doors opened, the headless ghosts, hanging ghosts, and drowned ghosts in the carriage scrambled off like frightened rabbits, terrified that if they were a step too slow, they would be snatched by that baleful star and sent to their physical transcendence.
“Tsk, why run so fast? You haven't left a good review yet.”
Su Yang stretched, then pulled the still-shivering Zhou Mingyue off the bus.
A wave of scorching, decaying air hit them in the face.
Before their eyes lay a massive, dilapidated industrial park.
Weeds grew wildly all around; amidst the waist-high withered grass, countless lone graves were vaguely visible, emitting eerie foxfire.
And in the very center of the park.
Stood a massive black building, like a crouching behemoth.
Atop the building was a chimney that pierced the clouds, billowing black smoke continuously.
The black smoke seemed to contain countless pained human faces, emitting shrill wails.
Hanging at the main gate was a rusted iron sign, where, by the light of the ghost fire, a few words could barely be made out—[Yin and Yang Road Crematorium].
“Is this the legendary... Yin and Yang Road?”
Looking at the Hell-like scene before her, Zhou Mingyue's teeth chattered, and she could barely hold onto her selfie stick.
“Big... Big Boss... do we really have to go in?”
“Since we're already here, wouldn't it be impolite not to go in and sit for a while?”
Su Yang watched the chimney billowing black smoke, a glint of sharpness flashing in his eyes.
The ghost energy inside here was soaring!
This was definitely a great place to farm points!
“Let's go, I'll take you to see the assembly line operations here.”
Su Yang strode toward the gate.
“Wait for me!”
Although Zhou Mingyue was scared to death, she was even more afraid to be left outside alone.
She had no choice but to bite the bullet and follow, clutching tightly to the corner of Su Yang's clothes.
Just as they approached the gate.
“Halt!”
An eerie voice rang out.
A half-bodied old ghost wearing a tattered uniform floated out from the security booth next to the gate.
It held a worn-out register in its hand, its murky eyes fixed intently on Su Yang and Zhou Mingyue, its mouth curling into a sinister arc.
“New fuel?”
“Looking quite fresh, soft skin and tender meat; the oil burned from you will surely be fragrant.”
“Fuel?”
Su Yang raised an eyebrow, walked up, and slapped his hand directly onto the register.
“Old man, is your eyesight bad?”
“I'm a leader here to inspect the work, understand?”
“A leader?”
The half-bodied old ghost paused for a moment, then let out a piercing, strange laugh.
“Hehehe... A living person dares to come here and pose as a leader?”
“Once you enter this gate, no matter who you are, you'll be turned into ash!”
“Someone come! Throw these two living people into the incinerator! Give the manager an extra meal!”
Following its shriek.
Clatter—
Over a dozen tall, charred evil ghosts rushed out from inside the gate instantly.
Sparks were still emitting from their bodies, their skin like burnt tree bark, and they held red-hot iron hooks and shovels, radiating suffocating heat and a charred stench.
These were the stokers of the crematorium!
“Roar—!”
The stokers roared, waving their iron hooks as they lunged at the two.
“Ah! Help!”
Zhou Mingyue screamed in fear, hiding behind Su Yang and trembling.
The viewers in the livestream were also stunned:
[Holy crap! This special effect is too realistic, right?!]
[Is this really a livestream? Why does it feel like I'm watching a horror blockbuster?]
[There are too many of them! Can the Big Boss handle it?]
“A bunch of burnt sweet potatoes, and you dare to act arrogant in front of me?”
Su Yang looked at the charging stokers, a hint of disdain flashing in his eyes.
“Perfect, I also want to try out my newly learned Move.”
He kept one hand in his pocket and slowly raised the other; in his palm, golden light and lightning intertwined, transforming into a brilliant arc of electricity.
“Five Thunders Orthodox Law · Chain Lightning!”
Zzzzt—!
A thick bolt of lightning shot from his palm, instantly striking the stoker in the lead.
Following that, the lightning seemed to have a mind of its own, jumping and conducting wildly through the crowd of monsters!
Boom! Boom! Boom!
A series of explosions rang out.
The dozen or so seemingly ferocious stokers were instantly blasted into black ash by the lightning, leaving not even a scrap behind.
“Is that it?”
Su Yang blew on his fingers and looked at the half-bodied old ghost, which was already scared silly.
“Old man, anyone else? This isn't enough to fill the gaps between my teeth.”
“You... you...”
The half-bodied old ghost pointed at Su Yang, trembling all over, as if it had seen a Ghost King.
Is this guy even human?!
One-shotting over a dozen evil ghosts?!
“Who dares to run wild on my Yin and Yang Road?!”
Just then.
A roar like muffled thunder came from deep within the crematorium.
Rumble—
The ground began to shake violently.
The towering chimney suddenly spewed a pillar of fire into the sky, dyeing half the sky blood-red.
Immediately after, a giant monster over three meters tall, its body burning with green ghost fire, walked out step by step.
He had a massive ox head and dragged a huge bone-cleaving blade in his hand; with every step he took, a burning footprint was left on the ground.
The crematorium manager—Ox-Head Ghost General!
That terrifying pressure was several times more powerful than any of the ghosts before him!
“Manager! Manager, save me!”
The half-bodied old ghost looked as if it had seen its savior, scrambling and floating over.
“This living person... he killed our brothers! And he wants to tear down our crematorium!”
“Tear down my place?”
The Ox-Head Ghost General stared fixedly at Su Yang with his flame-burning ox eyes, two streams of white smoke spewing from his nostrils.
“What big talk!”
“Kid, since you're here, don't think about leaving!”
“It just so happens that my incinerator is missing a prime ingredient of extreme Yang!”
“Extreme Yang?”
Su Yang looked at the behemoth; not only was he not afraid, but he smiled even more brightly.
“What a coincidence, I'm also missing a Ghost General core to go with my drink.”
“Big Ox, I see your build is pretty sturdy; you should be quite durable, right?”
Su Yang loosened his wrists, which made a crisp cracking sound.
“Mingyue, hold the phone well and step back.”
“The upcoming scenes might be a bit unsuitable for children.”
“Ah? Big... Big Boss, what are you going to do?” Zhou Mingyue asked nervously.
Su Yang turned back, revealing a mouthful of large white teeth, which appeared exceptionally stark under the glow of the ghost fire.
“What am I going to do? Of course...”
“Give this manager a full-body chiropractic adjustment!”
Boom!
Before the words had even faded, golden light surged from Su Yang's body, and he shot forward like a cannonball, actively charging straight toward the massive Ox-Head Ghost General!
