389: Chapter 389 Breaking a steel gear with bare hands, a half-finished shell on the assembly line!

The dark pipes were bottomless, and the fierce wind howled wildly in their ears.

The sensation of weightlessness lasted for a full five minutes.

Thud! Thud! Thud!

Five people landed one after another on the hard metal surface, the dull sound of impact echoing in the vast space.

Su Yang stood firm on both feet. There was no natural light around, only rows of piercing red warning lights flashing overhead. Accompanied by a shrill buzzing, the warning lights illuminated the surroundings in flickering pulses of dim light.

Qin Xueji fell at Su Yang's feet and quickly scrambled up, supporting herself with her hands on the metal floor. Bai Li, Chu Ling, and Mary also stabilized themselves quickly and surveyed the surroundings.

The metal floor beneath their feet was not stable; it was actually moving forward rapidly.

This was a giant steel conveyor belt a hundred meters wide.

At the end of the conveyor belt was a pitch-black opening like an abyss. Inside the opening, two rows of steel gears as large as hills were frantically meshing and rotating. The gears rubbed against each other, sending sparks flying everywhere.

A massive mechanical suction force pulled from deep within the gears.

"Boss, something's wrong! I can't fly!" Mary flapped her black bat wings vigorously, her tight leather outfit accentuating her explosive figure. She tried desperately to take off, but was firmly pinned to the conveyor belt by an invisible, powerful magnetic field, her feet unable to leave the metal surface.

Chu Ling’s ice-blue dress fluttered as her fair hands quickly formed hand seals.

"Ice Seal!"

The eerie blue Ten-Thousand-Year Profound Ice Cold Qi transformed into an Ice Dragon, roaring as it charged toward the massive, spinning gears ahead.

Crack, crack, crack.

The thick layer of ice had just covered the gear surface when it was instantly crushed by the terrifying mechanical force. The hard ice turned into powder, scattering everywhere. In the face of absolute physical power, the Ice Seal Spell was completely ineffective.

The conveyor belt sped up. They were less than fifty meters from the crushing gears.

Qin Xueji’s face turned pale as she tightly held Bai Li’s arm. Facing such a massive machine, which was like a meat grinder, the Physical Body of a Core Formation Cultivator would be turned into a pile of mush the moment it was pulled in.

Bai Li frowned slightly, her purple light-flashing folding fan in hand. She was preparing to use her Nine-Tailed Celestial Fox's Origin demon power to forcibly destroy the magnetic field.

Su Yang’s expression was as calm as water.

With his hands behind his back, he took long strides toward the giant gears ahead.

"A machine cobbled together from scrap metal thinks it can shred people," Su Yang said flatly, without any emotional fluctuation.

He reached the very edge of the conveyor belt.

The hill-sized steel gears were close at hand. Each tooth was over ten meters long, carrying the terrifying pressure of something that could slice through mountain ranges as they meshed together. The deafening mechanical roar was enough to shatter a Mortal's eardrums.

Su Yang didn't stop; he simply raised his hands.

Boom!

With his left and right hands, he accurately grabbed the two massive steel teeth pressing down from above.

Sparks flew wildly. The ear-piercing sound of metal friction echoed throughout the underground space.

The giant mechanical gears were actually forced to a stop by Su Yang's bare hands! Even the entire hundred-meter-wide heavy-duty conveyor belt let out an overburdened creak and was forced to stop running.

"Break."

The muscles in Su Yang's arms instantly bulged. Pure Yang True Qi surged through his body like a rushing river.

He suddenly exerted force with both hands, snapping them outward.

Crack!

Two massive teeth, over ten meters long and forged from Deep Sea Cold Iron, were snapped clean off by Su Yang with his bare hands!

Su Yang casually tossed the heavy, broken teeth into the abyss below. He raised his right leg and, with immense force, kicked the central main shaft of the gear.

Boom!

The steel main shaft snapped instantly. The two hill-sized gears completely lost balance, collided violently, and crashed into a pile of twisted scrap metal. The entire mechanical crusher was completely destroyed, emitting billows of black smoke.

"Let's go." Su Yang patted the rust off his hands.

Stepping onto the stationary conveyor belt, Su Yang took the lead and jumped off the metal edge.

Ahead was a vast underground factory.

There were no Formations, no monsters, and no bones littering the ground. As far as the eye could see, there were only countless complex steel assembly lines and waving mechanical arms.

Hundreds of human shells were hanging on the assembly lines.

These shells had been cruelly disemboweled. Inside were no internal organs, but instead various bronze gears, rusted iron plates, and complex metal wiring. Nutrient solution was being continuously injected into the heads of these shells through transparent hoses.

The Mechanical Old Man from before had clearly been mass-produced in this underground factory.

"Hollowing out living people and turning them into machines. Truly cruel methods." Bai Li waved her folding fan, her purple eyes scanning the slowly moving assembly line with a cold glint.

Chu Ling's face was covered in frost, her ice-blue eyes fixed on the shells on the assembly line.

"No wonder there were so many brains soaking in jars on the floor above. They were all forcibly dug out by these machines."

Mary flew in mid-air and waved her hand in disgust.

"It smells of machine oil and preservatives. This place is truly nauseating. Su Yang, just burn all these disgusting tin men!"

Su Yang looked at the running assembly lines with cold eyes.

He stomped his right foot heavily on the metal floor.

Boom!

Dazzling golden Pure Yang True Fire spread wildly in all directions along the metal floor.

The golden flames instantly turned into a towering sea of fire, completely swallowing the entire underground mechanical factory.

The massive mechanical equipment and metal conveyor belts quickly melted into pools of glowing red molten iron under the terrifying high temperature of the Pure Yang True Fire. The semi-finished shells hanging on the assembly line, along with the bronze parts inside, were all burned to ashes.

There were no shrill screams, only the ear-piercing sound of melting steel.

In less than two minutes...

The underground factory, which covered tens of thousands of square meters, was completely turned into a scorching ruin.

Su Yang walked through the sea of fire, stepping on the molten iron everywhere, and reached the deepest part of the factory.

There was a tightly closed silver metal door here.

Beside the metal door stood a transparent cylindrical crystal pedestal. Inside the pedestal, a diamond-shaped crystal emitting blue light floated quietly.

Su Yang stepped forward, extended his right hand, and smashed the glass cover of the crystal pedestal with a single punch.

He reached out and took the blue diamond-shaped crystal.

As soon as the crystal touched the air, its surface instantly projected a 3D holographic map emitting blue light.

The map was enormous, showing the complex structure of the entire Underground Labyrinth. Countless passages intersected like a spider web.

The location where everyone was currently stood was flashing with a green light at the edge of the labyrinth's bottom layer. In the very center of the holographic map, a striking red skull pattern was marked. Beside the skull, two ancient characters were written: "Central Core."

"It seems the true core is in the middle." Su Yang glanced at the map and quickly memorized the complex route.

He exerted force with his fingers and crushed the blue crystal into a pile of powder.

The holographic map vanished instantly.

Su Yang turned and walked to the silver metal door. He clenched his right fist, which was wrapped in Pure Yang True Fire.

Boom!

A heavy punch slammed into the metal door.

The sturdy silver door shattered, and metal fragments flew inward.

Behind the door was a straight metal corridor. There were no doors or windows on either side of the corridor, only silver metal walls polished to a mirror shine. Pale fluorescent lights glowed on the ceiling.

Su Yang led the way into the corridor, followed closely by the four women.

They had only walked a dozen steps.

The wreckage of the silver metal door that had been smashed suddenly turned into a pool of liquid metal. The liquid metal quickly writhed and reorganized, healing automatically in the blink of an eye and turning back into a perfectly intact door, completely sealing off their retreat.

Immediately afterward.

A dull, heavy sound of mechanical gears turning came from inside the walls on both sides of the corridor.

Rumble.

The smooth metal walls on both sides actually began to move slowly toward the center.

Although the movement speed wasn't fast, it carried an unstoppable, terrifying force. The space in the passage was constantly shrinking.

The surface of the walls was as smooth as a mirror, with no leverage points or gaps. Once the two metal walls, dozens of meters long, completely closed, everything in the corridor would be ruthlessly crushed into a pile of mush.

Qin Xueji watched the metal walls closing in from both sides, her breathing becoming very rapid. Her high heels clicked on the floor as she unconsciously quickened her pace.

"Boss, the walls are closing in! There's almost no room left in the passage!" Qin Xueji's voice was tight.

Su Yang kept his hands behind his back, his expression still as calm as water and his pace steady.

"Just walk faster."
