382: Chapter 382 Spatial Storm Scattered the Crowd, the Bone Inn in the Wilderness!
Crossing over the black stone gate that stood a hundred zhang high. The blood-red eyes deep in the darkness rapidly enlarged.
They were not living creatures, but two blood-red lanterns hanging in mid-air. Behind the lanterns, a massive black Netherworld wooden boat was moored. Thick gray mist permeated the area around the wooden boat.
At the bow of the boat stood a faceless person wearing a straw raincoat. The faceless person waved the bamboo pole in their hand, slicing forcefully through the Void Realm.
The surrounding space instantly twisted. An irresistible space storm whipped up from the flat ground. The storm was infused with the core Law of the Netherworld, forcibly cutting everything around it apart.
Su Yang unleashed his Pure Yang True Qi, a golden light shield protecting his entire body. However, the power of the storm was extremely strange; it actually ignored his True Qi defense and acted directly upon his spatial coordinates.
The world spun. A sensation of weightlessness washed over him.
His feet landed heavily on the ground. Su Yang opened his eyes and looked around.
Bai Li, Chu Ling, Mary, and Qin Xueji were nowhere to be seen. The surroundings were a gray-white wilderness. Black snowflakes floated in the sky. There was no gravity; some gravel hovered in mid-air, drifting slowly.
The sky appeared a dull blood-red. There was no sun, only a fragmented black crescent moon.
Su Yang's expression was calm. He had only lost a few people; he just needed to find them. Whoever dared to touch Su Yang's women would be killed.
He walked forward along a dried-up riverbed. The bottom of the riverbed was littered with rusted weapons and broken armor. Stepping on them produced crisp sounds of metal snapping.
He walked for an hour.
An inn appeared ahead. The inn was built from massive beast bones, and several lanterns made of human skin hung under the eaves. Within the lanterns burned greenish ghost fires, flickering in the wind.
The inn's door stood wide open, and bursts of clamor and shrill, wild laughter emanated from within.
Su Yang stepped into the inn.
The first floor of the inn was set with dozens of black wooden tables. Sitting at the tables were all sorts of bizarre ghost cultivators and monsters. Some had two heads, while others were covered in green scales.
These monsters were drinking heavily and eating raw flesh and organs from their plates.
Upon seeing a living human walk in, the inn instantly went quiet. All gazes were fixed sharply on Su Yang. The scent of a living person's Qi and blood was like a beacon in the darkness within the Netherworld, driving others mad with temptation.
A waiter with three arms approached. The waiter was all smiles, holding a tray in his hands, upon which lay several hearts that were still beating.
"Customer, are you stopping for a meal or staying the night? Fresh hearts, just dug out of a Mortal's chest, still warm." The waiter's voice was shrill, and his three hands rubbed together incessantly.
Su Yang didn't even glance at him, simply slapping the waiter in the face.
Bang.
The waiter's head flew off directly, hitting the wall and smashing into a pulp of flesh. The headless corpse fell to the ground, and black blood flowed everywhere.
The ghost cultivators in the inn stood up one after another, drawing their weapons, their eyes filled with fierce glares.
"I'm looking for someone." Su Yang's voice was calm, without a ripple of emotion.
He took a piece of cloth out of his Storage Ring. It was fabric from Chu Ling's ice-blue dress, torn off during the space storm earlier.
"Have you seen a woman wearing clothes like this?" Su Yang held up the scrap of cloth.
A burly man with a wild boar's head walked over, carrying a large saber. His mouth was full of protruding fangs, and drool dripped onto the floor. The aura of the Soul Transformation Stage Early Stage radiated from him, causing the surrounding tables and chairs to creak and rattle.
"A mere Mortal dares to run wild in the Netherworld Inn? I'll hack you into eight pieces and drain your Qi and blood to drink with my wine!" The boar-man hacked his saber toward the top of Su Yang's head, the wind of the blade whistling.
Su Yang raised his right hand, two fingers precisely clamping onto the descending blade.
His fingers applied a slight force.
Crack.
The heavy saber made of refined steel snapped in two. Su Yang backhanded a wave, and the half of the broken blade turned into a stream of light, piercing directly into the boar-man's throat.
Black blood gushed out. The boar-man dropped the handle, covered his neck with both hands, and fell to the ground, twitching wildly.
Su Yang walked over to the boar-man and crushed its head with one foot. The sound of bones shattering was very clear in the quiet inn.
"If you won't speak, I'll kill you all."
A blinding golden light erupted from Su Yang's body. Pure Yang True Fire blazed fiercely on his right fist, and the high temperature instantly evaporated the Yin Qi in the inn. The bones on the walls began to blacken and carbonize.
Feeling the high temperature capable of incinerating a Soul, the ghost cultivators fled in panic, trampling over one another.
An old woman wearing a green robe jumped down from the second-floor railing and shouted loudly, "Stop! This old one has seen the woman you are looking for!"
Su Yang extinguished the flames and looked at the green-robed old woman.
"Where is she?"
The green-robed old woman trembled all over, leaning on a cane, her eyes full of fear.
"Half an hour ago, the Imperial Guard of the Netherworld Imperial City passed through the wilderness. They captured a few outsiders. One of them was wearing an ice-blue dress. They headed in the direction of the Netherworld Imperial City."
"Where is the Netherworld Imperial City located?" Su Yang asked.
The old woman raised her cane and pointed in the direction of the black crescent moon outside the inn.
"Follow the Yellow Springs road straight to the east. When you see a black city floating on a sea of blood, that is the Imperial City."
Su Yang turned and walked out of the inn.
Just as he stepped over the threshold, Su Yang threw a ball of golden fire backward without turning his head.
Boom!
The Bone Inn collapsed instantly in the Pure Yang True Fire. Screams merged into one, and a few seconds later, it was completely reduced to a pile of white ash.
Su Yang stepped on the gray-white ground and strode toward the east.
The wilderness was very quiet. Floating black snowflakes landed on his shoulders and instantly turned into wisps of black smoke. These snowflakes were entirely condensed from pure Death Qi.
He traveled for dozens of miles.
A patrol of Nether soldiers appeared ahead. There were ten of them in total. All were wearing tattered bronze armor and riding ghost warhorses that emitted green fire.
The leading Nether soldier held a long spear and blocked his path.
"This is a restricted area of the Imperial City; unauthorized personnel are forbidden. Present your travel permit."
Su Yang did not stop and continued walking forward.
"You're courting death." The Nether soldier commander was furious, raised his spear, and urged his ghost warhorse to charge over. The spear carried a bone-chilling cold wind, thrusting straight at Su Yang's heart.
Su Yang formed his right hand into a blade and hacked down with a hand-blade strike against the spear.
The golden Pure Yang True Qi transformed into a blade radiance several zhang long.
Bang!
The spear snapped. The blade radiance did not lose its momentum, directly splitting the Nether soldier commander and his warhorse in two. Black mist dissipated, leaving nothing behind.
The remaining nine Nether soldiers saw this and raised their weapons to surround and attack him.
Su Yang's figure flashed as he charged into the formation of Nether soldiers. His fist wind whistled, and every punch thrown inevitably caused a Nether soldier to explode. The Physical Body strength of the Soul Transformation Stage Early Stage was an absolute crushing force against these low-level guards.
In less than half a minute, all ten Nether soldiers were cleared away.
Su Yang walked to the only ghost warhorse that had not been destroyed. He vaulted onto the horse.
The warhorse sensed the Qi and blood of a living person and neighed frantically, trying to throw the person on its back off.
"Behave."
Su Yang slapped the warhorse on the head. Pure Yang True Qi surged into the warhorse's body. The warhorse instantly quieted down, its four hooves emitting green fire, standing obediently in place.
Su Yang pulled the reins. The ghost warhorse turned into a streak of green light, galloping at high speed across the gray-white wilderness.
The scenery on both sides flew backward rapidly.
Half an hour later, a vast red ocean appeared ahead.
The seawater was thick, constantly churning and bubbling. A pungent smell of blood rose into the sky.
In the center of the sea of blood floated a vast, incomparably large black city. The city walls stood a thousand zhang high, all built from massive black stones. The walls were covered in black flags, fluttering in the wind.
The entire city radiated a suffocating, terrifying aura.
The Netherworld Imperial City.
A wide bridge made of white bones extended from the shore all the way to the city gate. The surface of the bridge was covered in the marks of sword and saber slashes.
Su Yang rode the ghost warhorse onto the bone bridge.
Just as he reached the center of the bridge.
Massive waves dozens of zhang high suddenly surged in the sea of blood. Two blood-colored Dragons with bodies the size of mountains suddenly burst out from the bottom of the sea.
The Dragons were covered in blood-red scales and had massive fleshy wings. The aura of the Soul Transformation Stage Middle Stage radiated outward, blocking his path.
"This is a Forbidden Ground of the Imperial City, stop right there!"
The Dragon on the left opened its bloodthirsty maw and spat out a thick beam of red light. The beam carried intense, corrosive poison, shooting straight toward Su Yang.
Su Yang leaped up from the horse's back. He clenched his right hand into a fist, golden flames blazing fiercely.
"Two gatekeeping loaches dare to block my path?"
Su Yang faced the red beam of light and struck out fiercely with a punch.
The golden fist radiance was unstoppable, directly shattering the red beam of light. The fist radiance pierced through the poison gas and slammed fiercely into the Dragon's head.
Boom!
The Dragon's massive head exploded instantly. Its huge body lost control and fell heavily back into the sea of blood, splashing blood everywhere.
The other Dragon saw its companion killed in an instant, and a flash of terror crossed its eyes. It turned, wanting to dive back into the sea.
"Want to run?"
Su Yang's figure flashed, and he appeared directly behind the Dragon. He grabbed the Dragon's thick tail with both hands and exerted sudden force from his waist.
"Get up!"
Su Yang actually used his bare hands to forcefully pull the dozens-of-zhang-long blood-colored Dragon out of the sea. He swung it half a circle in mid-air and slammed it fiercely onto the railing of the bone bridge.
Bang!
The bridge deck shook. The Dragon's bones were all shattered, and it lay paralyzed on the bridge, vomiting mouthfuls of black blood.
Su Yang walked over and crushed the Dragon's head with one foot.
Dusting off his hands, Su Yang continued to walk toward the black gate of the Netherworld Imperial City.
