240: Wow! The fisherman's spirit animal is really strange

Early the next morning, Hu Bingbing and Qin Zhe set off for the Mythical Continent.

They were truly envious of their companions' gains from yesterday.

So, the two prepared dry rations and other supplies, informed everyone, and then entered the depths of the Mythical Continent.

They learned last night that the Spirit Beasts their companions encountered were generally found in the depths.

Only with good luck could one encounter them in the outer areas.

Such opportunities were incredibly rare.

Although the Spiritual Qi in the outer areas was sufficient,

it was still far less pure than the Spiritual Qi in the depths.

As they Cultivated in the Mythical Continent, Hu Bingbing and Qin Zhe became more proficient in using their respective Legacies.

Hu Bingbing sensed a river not far away, rich in Spiritual Qi.

So she smiled at Qin Zhe and said, "Qin Zhe, I sensed it, there's a river over there. I'll go check it out. Let's split up for now!"

Qin Zhe was speechless; Hu Bingbing was truly single-minded about fishing.

He helplessly said, "Alright, but the depths are too risky. If we split up, let's not go too far apart."

Hu Bingbing took out her fishing rod, smiled, and nodded: "No problem, see you!"

Hu Bingbing slowly ate her dry rations while heading towards the river she had sensed.

The closer she got to the river, the stronger the river's aura she sensed became.

This indicated that the fish in this river were definitely not ordinary.

After all, the Spiritual Qi in the Mythical Continent was simply too abundant; sometimes, even a tiny sparrow could grow into a medium-sized, giant Yao Beast in the Mythical Continent.

Not to mention, the Spiritual Qi in this river was so abundant.

The fish in this river must contain great treasures.

Perhaps, she might even fish out a Spirit Beast from the river!

Thinking of this, Hu Bingbing couldn't help but burst into laughter.

She took out her fishing rod and bait from her backpack.

She looked around for a good spot and excitedly began fishing.

The river was about two to three hundred meters wide.

A thick layer of white mist hovered over the surface of the river.

Hu Bingbing happily waited to see what she would catch this time.

Time flew by as she waited, and suddenly, Hu Bingbing noticed her fishing rod beginning to shake.

Hu Bingbing happily stood up and began to reel in the fishing rod.

However, as she reeled it in, the rod's initial slight trembling gradually escalated into violent shaking.

Seeing this, Hu Bingbing understood perfectly.

This was definitely a big fish!

The commotion even reminded Hu Bingbing of the Talent Spiritual Fruit she had caught before.

With excited eyes, she looked at the lake surface and quickly reeled in the rod.

Due to the fish in the river, the fishing rod had already contorted into an irregular shape from the pulling.

Hu Bingbing exerted all her strength, and the catch on the rod emerged halfway out of the water.

It was a Spirit Beast in the shape of a fish, completely black, struggling frantically with its mouth open.

Seeing this, Hu Bingbing realized it was a Spirit Beast in the Middle Stage of Qi Cultivation.

Overjoyed, she directly channeled her spiritual power into the fishing rod, and with another mighty pull from Hu Bingbing,

a graceful arc cut through the air, and the Spirit Beast landed directly on the ground.

The Spirit Beast continuously rolled on the land, trying to escape back into the river.

Hu Bingbing wouldn't let it escape; if it did, all her hard work today would be in vain!

Then, a scene unfolded where the Spirit Beast tried to run towards the river, but Hu Bingbing, with a mischievous grin, would use her spiritual power to drag the Spirit Beast back to its original spot whenever it neared the river's edge.

The Spirit Beast looked at the river in front of it, then at the two-legged human in front of it.

It let out a furious roar: Since it couldn't run back, it would just kill this two-legged beast.

A moment later, the Spirit Beast was once again thrown back to its original spot by Hu Bingbing, looking utterly despondent as it gazed into the distance.

What did this hateful two-legged beast want?

I was just playing with the little fish, and then, during my breathing and exhalation, I wasn't paying attention and got tied up by something.

Then, in the blink of an eye, I was on land.

Damn it.

My current cultivation is not enough; if I stay on land for too long, I will die.

But this hateful two-legged beast won't let me go back.

The fish is so tired, the fish wants to cry!

Seeing that the Spirit Beast had obediently stayed put, Hu Bingbing clapped her hands.

She walked over to the Spirit Beast with a beaming smile and said gently, "I see you are no ordinary creature. How about you become my mount?"

"Of course, if you don't want to be my mount, becoming pickled fish is also an option."

The Spirit Beast's eyes widened. If it could speak, it would definitely be cursing terribly right now.

The Spirit Beast offered a string of silent curses towards Hu Bingbing, but ultimately, for the sake of survival, it chose to submit.

Seeing the Spirit Beast nod, Hu Bingbing thought gleefully, 'As expected of me, I have a mount now! Won't fishing be even more convenient in the future!'

Hu Bingbing, seizing the moment, happily formed a contract with the Spirit Beast on the spot.

After the contract was complete, Hu Bingbing sat down again, preparing to see if she could catch another Spirit Beast...

Meanwhile, on the other side.

Qin Zhe suddenly heard an explosive splash not far away, recalling that Hu Bingbing had mentioned a river nearby.

Hearing this sound, he thought, 'Could this be Hu Bingbing's doing?'

Qin Zhe recalled Hu Bingbing's obsession with fishing, and a hint of worry crept into his heart.

He decided to quickly deal with the Yao Beast in front of him and then go to Hu Bingbing's location to see what was happening. If it truly was Hu Bingbing's doing, he could rush over and help her.

A moment later, Qin Zhe finished off the last Yao Beast, wiping away the bloodstains the Yao Beast had just left on his face.

Qin Zhe rushed quickly while sensing Hu Bingbing's position and direction.

When he arrived at the river, he saw large patches of water on the ground, and not far away, he saw Hu Bingbing leisurely fishing.

Looking at the scene, the sound he had heard earlier definitely came from here.

What was strange, however, was that there were no bloodstains on the ground from the fight.

This was unscientific.

Qin Zhe walked over to Hu Bingbing, who was staring motionless at the river surface.

"Hu Bingbing, did you encounter a Yao Beast just now?"

"Huh? A Yao Beast?"

"No, let me show you."

After speaking, Hu Bingbing's thoughts stirred, and a giant Spirit Beast fell from the air into the river.

Qin Zhe's mouth hung open; he hadn't seen wrong just now, what fell from the air was a Spirit Beast.

The Spirit Beast carried Hu Bingbing's aura.

I'm speechless.

You truly are a fishing enthusiast. It's so difficult for others to encounter Spirit Beasts.

You actually fished out a Spirit Beast directly from the river.

And its cultivation was even in the Middle Stage of Qi Cultivation.

I'm so jealous...
