246: Shi Niang's mount, the cat demon

A loud bang echoed from a river in the southwest, about several hundred meters wide.

Linglong flew out of the water, sending rows of splashes around.

In her mouth, she still clutched a giant fish, which was thrashing about ceaselessly.

Thinking of the little fox on the bank, she turned and threw the fish directly beside the little fox.

Thud!

The water splashed from the fish hitting the ground splattered all over the little fox's fur.

Little fox: I don't think you wanted to show me the fish; you wanted to crush me with it!

The little fox angrily pointed at Linglong: "Are you crazy? There's so much open space, and you throw it right next to me."

Linglong innocently blinked her big, innocent eyes, as if to say that if she put it elsewhere, the little fox wouldn't have such a direct experience.

Linglong ignored the grumbling little fox beside her, looking at the fish she had caught with a great sense of accomplishment.

She had caught some before; these fish should be enough for her and them to play with for a while!

Seeing Linglong ignore her, the little fox casually picked up a fish and threw it over.

Linglong caught the white fish with her mouth and ate it, a hundred percent successful.

Linglong found this quite fun and gestured for the little fox to continue...

Unbeknownst to Linglong and the little fox, Li Mu was 'watching' their every move.

Li Mu saw the little fox's exasperated expression and Linglong's bright, sparkling eyes, wondering if this was a case of one overcoming the other.

If this continued, they probably wouldn't catch many fish.

Moreover, if Linglong brought back that huge fish she caught, the smaller fish in the river would likely have no chance of survival.

That big fish...

Li Mu was surprised, feeling it was a bit strange. He had thought such a massive fish would be a Yao Beast, but after sensing it, he realized it was just an ordinary large fish.

He guessed this was due to the spiritual energy tide's influence on these fish.

Li Mu wondered whether to send a message to Linglong and the little fox to have them return.

But seeing the Dragon and the fox playing so happily, he remembered they hadn't been out for a long time.

This time, he would let them play to their hearts' content!

Having decided, Li Mu retracted his Divine Sense view.

Next, I need to go to the Mythical Continent.

After all, Jin Meiting and the others from the Special Affairs Bureau already have their own mounts, but Shi Niang doesn't, and that won't do.

Shi Niang's Legacy is support-oriented, so her mount cannot be too weak.

Li Mu tore open a spatial rift and instantly arrived at the Mythical Continent.

Li Mu released his Divine Sense, sensing the distribution of Yao Beasts on the Mythical Continent.

His Divine Sense detected a giant cat Yao Beast engaged in a fierce battle to the west.

This cat Yao Beast's strength was actually at the Peak of Refining Qi.

Its strength was acceptable; it would be the one.

Li Mu retracted his Divine Sense and arrived at the western location.

The cat Yao Beast sensed danger and tried to flee.

But how could Li Mu give the cat Yao Beast such an opportunity?

With a single strike, he sent the cat Yao Beast tumbling to the ground.

Knowing it couldn't escape, the cat Yao Beast charged at Li Mu and released a sound wave.

This attack had no effect on Li Mu. He smiled disdainfully at the charging cat Yao Beast, thinking, 'I was lenient with you just now, but you don't know what's good for you.'

Thus, Li Mu lightly pointed his finger towards the cat Yao Beast, and the attacked cat Yao Beast instantly fell to the ground, severely wounded and unable to move.

Li Mu walked forward: "I've already been lenient enough with you; your strength is simply too weak."

The cat Yao Beast whimpered.

Li Mu continued: "Will you choose to submit or die? Pick one!"

The cat Yao Beast looked at the human before it; the opponent was like a towering mountain, capable of crushing it with a mere flick of a finger.

It thought that on this Mythical Continent, it was at least a regional overlord, yet it was so easily crushed by the opponent.

Terror!

Hearing the opponent's words, the cat Yao Beast immediately nodded without the slightest hesitation, indicating its willingness to submit to Li Mu.

Li Mu saw the cat Yao Beast's action and nodded in satisfaction. If the opponent had been unwilling, Li Mu wouldn't have forced it; at most, he would just kill it and spend a little more time searching for another.

Looking at the cat Yao Beast's size, he said: "Alright, since you've chosen to submit, first transform into the size of an ordinary cat."

Upon hearing this, the cat Yao Beast immediately shrunk its body, following Li Mu's request, until it was the size of a normal small cat.

Seeing this, Li Mu took the cat Yao Beast into the Cave Heaven Small World.

Remembering Linglong and the others, he then turned and returned to the river in the southwest.

Linglong and the little fox were still having a blast; the fish they had caught earlier had been successfully devoured by the Dragon and the fox, with fish bones scattered everywhere on the ground.

Li Mu removed his invisibility spell and appeared standing behind Linglong.

When the little fox saw Li Mu, the fish meat in its mouth instantly lost its flavor.

Linglong was still happily eating, while the little fox seemed to already see that Linglong was not eating fish meat, but rather dried fox meat...

It wanted to run, but its legs wouldn't obey, staying rooted to the spot.

Suddenly, a huge 'Danger' appeared in Linglong's mind.

This familiar sensation made Linglong pause for a few seconds, then she continued to eat the roasted fish.

Li Mu used a spell to directly punch the Dragon and the fox, then, grasping Linglong and the little fox by their respective lifelines, he threw them into the Cave Heaven Small World.

He looked at the nearby river, waved his hand, and water splashed everywhere.

Li Mu caught some fish and likewise put them into the Cave Heaven Small World. As for the giant fish he had seen Linglong catch earlier, it had long since been completely eaten by the two of them, leaving only a pile of fish skeletons!

When Li Mu arrived at the Cave Heaven Small World, the Dragon and the fox were already nowhere to be seen.

He activated his Divine Sense, located them, and with a thought, the Dragon and the fox appeared before Li Mu's eyes.

In the world I created, where can you two escape to?

To teach Linglong a lesson, he took the last Spirit Stone she had buried and was reluctant to eat.

As for the little fox, he directly put it in solitary confinement to reflect on its foxy behavior.

Having dealt with the mischievous children, Li Mu took out his diary and began to write.

January 12th. Light snow.

The third spiritual energy tide is coming soon; this feeling is much stronger than before...

Earlier, when I was out on business, I unexpectedly found Xin Mulan taking her mount to a pet shop, seemingly to bathe her mount.

This Xin Mulan is truly interesting...

I unintentionally discovered an Immortal Cave on the Mythical Continent earlier; there are still too many secrets in this world that I don't understand.

Inside the Immortal Cave, there was a Senior's Dao of the Sword Legacy. This is useless to me; it just depends on which fated person will inherit this Senior's Dao of the Sword Legacy!

Last time I went to the Mythical Continent for something, I unintentionally passed by the Immortal Cave and didn't expect that the Immortal Cave's Legacy seems to have already been inherited by someone.

That's good too; the third spiritual energy tide is about to arrive, which will allow for greater ability to protect others...

And Great Master Wu Ya too, his strength seems to have advanced even further...
