430: Chaos Orb

A hint of excitement flashed in Li Mu’s eyes as he cautiously approached the unknown creature.

At the same time, he immediately sensed the creature's Cultivation Realm; it was an Earth Immortal.

“It’s merely an Earth Immortal. I’ll take the Chaos Pearl.”

The temptation of the Chaos Pearl was too great; obtaining it might even allow him to become a Heavenly Dao Saint.

However, the creature seemed to sense Li Mu’s intention and suddenly launched an attack.

It moved incredibly fast, rushing towards Li Mu like lightning.

Li Mu dodged to the side, then used his palm to draw the Chaos Pearl from the unknown creature’s head.

The moment he had the Chaos Pearl in hand, he eagerly took it out and carefully sensed it.

It turned out that the Restrictions on the Chaos Pearl had not yet been removed, no wonder a mere Earth Immortal had obtained the Chaos Pearl.

Seeing its item snatched, the unknown creature, enraged, charged directly at Li Mu.

“A mere Earth Immortal dares to clamor before me, a Golden Immortal.”

“I don’t have time to play with you now; I have important matters!”

Li Mu drew his Jin Ming Sword, and with just one strike, light burst forth, and Qi surged.

It couldn't even withstand a single blow and immediately fell to the ground, dead.

Its eyes were filled with unwillingness; it had thought it had unexpectedly obtained the Chaos Pearl and planned to hide here until all the Restrictions on the Chaos Pearl were removed before breaking out.

It hadn't expected to lose it so quickly, before it even warmed up, and to meet such a fate.

As it gazed at the Chaos Pearl emitting its mysterious light, it slowly closed its eyes.

Li Mu felt the immense power contained within it.

He decided to study how to remove its Restrictions thoroughly, so he could unleash its maximum power in future battles.

Of course, he himself still needed to quickly raise his Cultivation, otherwise, it wouldn't be so easy to remove the Chaos Pearl’s Restrictions!

If his Cultivation was too weak, he might even be instantly killed by the Chaos Pearl’s power while trying to remove the Restrictions.

Li Mu put away the Chaos Pearl, then looked at Xin Mulan beside him and said calmly, “Alright, let’s leave this place!”

Xin Mulan: ?!!!

What just happened?

I just sneezed, and it seems like a big battle occurred?!

Didn’t Li Mu just attack something?

Could it be that I’ve been here too long and am hallucinating???

No, I did feel a powerful aura. Could it be…

“Li Mu, did you feel anything just now?”

“What?”

“A very powerful, scary aura…”

“…Uh.”

Li Mu looked at Xin Mulan’s clear eyes in surprise. Could it be that during his battle with the unknown creature just now, this girl was daydreaming and didn’t see it?!

He rubbed his forehead helplessly. This might not happen to others, but it was highly probable with the naive Xin Mulan.

However…

It was best not to let too many people know about the Chaos Pearl for now. Since she didn’t see it, let’s just pretend it didn’t happen!

It also saved some trouble. For now, he would just coax the girl into leaving this place!

Li Mu calmly waved his hand and said, “I just swatted a mosquito. The aura you felt was probably just me accidentally letting some Qi leak out.”

Xin Mulan had a look of sudden realization, “So that’s it. By the way, Li Mu, has your Cultivation improved again? You’re so amazing.”

Li Mu was stunned. He hadn’t expected Xin Mulan to believe him so easily with just one sentence?!

Just like that?

Xin Mulan believed it just like that. Should he say Xin Mulan was simple-minded or just simple?

“If you Cultivate diligently, you can do the same. Your Phoenix Power is different from others.”

“Since the matter here is resolved, let’s leave this place!”

“Different? How is it different?!”

But then she heard they could leave and immediately nodded with a cheerful smile: “Alright, alright, Li Mu, you lead the way, I’ll follow you, hehehe…”

Li Mu nodded, then, just like when he sent Sun Zi and the other two away, he tore a rift in space, and in a blink of an eye, they arrived in the capital.

At the same time, Hu Bingbing and Jin Meiting were returning from outside. Their expressions were different; one was happy, and the other had a very subtle look.

Hu Bingbing happily dragged a giant monstrous fish, while Jin Meiting had a subtle expression on her face.

Hu Bingbing: “Sister Meiting, it’s nothing, it’s nothing. Fishermen are all like this. It would be strange if you succeeded in fishing on your very first try.”

Jin Meiting: “Don’t bother with that comfort, it just stings more.”

Hu Bingbing: “How could that be? Everyone has a first time. It’s okay, next time we’ll catch a good one.”

Jin Meiting: “Let’s just forget it…”

Before she could finish speaking, Jin Meiting's voice abruptly stopped, and an alert expression appeared on her face.

At the same time, a strong Spiritual Qi fluctuation suddenly surged in the air, as if some powerful force was approaching.

Jin Meiting gripped the sword in her hand tightly, her eyes scanning her surroundings vigilantly.

Hu Bingbing also felt this abnormal Spiritual Qi fluctuation. She quickly dropped the spoils of war in her hand, gripped her sword hilt with both hands, and stood beside Jin Meiting with a vigilant expression.

They stood back to back, their gazes filled with tension and wariness.

“What’s going on? This Spiritual Qi fluctuation seems unusual.”

Hu Bingbing whispered, a hint of unease in her tone.

Jin Meiting shook her head, indicating that she wasn't sure, but she reminded, “Be careful. If we can’t win, we retreat.”

The two remained silent, concentrating fully on the movements around them, awaiting the unknown challenge that was about to arrive.

They knew that this world was full of countless dangers, and they could never let their guard down.

As the Spiritual Qi fluctuations in the air grew stronger, the expressions on their faces became increasingly solemn. They stared intently at the fluctuating area around them, their eyes filled with vigilance and caution.

They knew that the enemy could emerge from there at any moment, so they had to maintain a high level of alertness to react quickly.

“As soon as the enemy shows their head, we’ll immediately launch an attack!”

Jin Meiting whispered, a hint of tension in her voice.

Hu Bingbing nodded in agreement.

Just then, the Spiritual Qi fluctuations in the air suddenly intensified, and a strong aura rushed towards them.

The two reacted instantly, launching an attack simultaneously, hoping to deliver a fatal blow to the enemy while they were unprepared.

Just then, a rift suddenly tore open in mid-air, and Li Mu, accompanied by Xin Mulan, leaped out of it, landing not far from Jin Meiting and Hu Bingbing.

Li Mu was about to bid farewell to Xin Mulan when he was suddenly interrupted by an attack from behind.

He frowned, not turning his head, because he had already detected Hu Bingbing and Jin Meiting’s aura before coming down, which was why he landed there. Besides the four of them, there were no other unfamiliar auras present.

Therefore, all inferences indicated that they might have been mistaken for intruders.

Li Mu waved his hand, dispelling all the attacks coming from the two, then looked somewhat helplessly at the two who had launched the attack from behind him.

“Is this not a welcome? Or is this your way of welcoming?”

Xin Mulan was startled. She had just felt Killing Intent, and before she could react, the Killing Intent was dispelled by Li Mu.

She turned around angrily, “I, your granny, want to see who dares to assassinate me on my territory?!”

“Who is it?”

“Can’t you see your granny is here? Come over here and I’ll beat you to death…”
