48: Camilla Dinah: I'm not hallucinating, I really have a diary in my hand!
United States, Washington State.
A woman in her twenties, dressed in a light-colored stepmother-style hip-hugging dress, with golden wavy hair, and a very hot figure, drove her car into her villa's garage.
After entering the living room, the woman casually sat on the sofa, her fair, long legs resting on the coffee table, and then she fiddled with her phone.
After about ten minutes, the woman's eyes seemed to be a bit sore, so she put down her phone and rubbed her eyes.
However, just then...
A faint 'thud' sound came from the coffee table in front, like the sound of a book or something falling.
"Huh?"
The woman subconsciously released her hands from covering her eyes, but when she clearly saw the item on the coffee table, a clear look of surprise appeared on her face.
Then she looked up and around, and after confirming that she was the only one in the room, her heart became even more puzzled.
On the coffee table in front of her, a grayish-white diary lay quietly.
But there was no tall furniture or desk around the coffee table, so how did this diary appear?
The woman reached out and picked up the diary from the coffee table, finding some Chinese characters written on the cover.
"Li Mu's diary, Camilla Dana's Copy?"
Camilla had specifically learned Chinese characters, so she could recognize the words on the cover.
What puzzled her was how this diary appeared.
Just a moment ago, there was nothing on the coffee table, so how did it suddenly appear with a 'thud' the next second?
Could it have appeared out of thin air?
With nothing else to do, Camilla simply leaned back on the sofa and opened the diary in her hand.
However, just as she was about to read it, the front door opened.
Camilla subconsciously looked towards the door and saw a woman who bore some resemblance to her, looking only two or three years older, push the door open and walk in.
This woman was Camilla's older sister, Mandy Dana.
The first thing Mandy saw upon entering was her sister Camilla sitting on the sofa, and a smile immediately formed on her face.
"Camilla, when did you get back?"
Seeing her older sister, Camilla also showed a sweet smile: "I just got back. I took a lot of photos on this trip. I'll show them to you later, Big Sister."
Hearing Camilla's words, Mandy's eyes showed envy: "I really envy you, being able to go out and play so freely. That scoundrel Dad made me manage the company, and I don't have any time for myself!"
However, it was clear that Mandy did not want to talk about this sad topic.
So, looking at Camilla sitting on the sofa, she changed the subject and asked, "Speaking of which, Little Sister, what are you... doing?"
In Mandy's eyes, Camilla was casually lying on the sofa, holding her hands suspended in the air, as if holding something even though there was nothing in her hands, which looked a bit strange.
Hearing Mandy's words, Camilla raised the diary in her hand and said with a faint smile, "I was just about to read this!"
"What?"
Mandy looked at Camilla's empty hands with some confusion, wondering what Camilla meant by that.
"A diary!"
Camilla clearly still thought Mandy could see it, just perhaps didn't know what the notebook was.
She continued, "This diary suddenly appeared with a 'thud' on the coffee table in front of me. It seems to be the diary of a Chinese person named Li Mu."
"It also says 'my copy' on it. I wonder if someone is playing a prank on me!"
At this point, Camilla looked at Mandy, with a look in her eyes that suggested she had figured it out.
However, after hearing her words, Mandy, who had just entered the room, became even more bewildered.
"Wait, wait!"
Mandy looked at her, then at her hands, and after confirming again that Camilla's hands were indeed empty.
Only then did she ask, "Are you sure you have... a diary of that Chinese person in your hand? And you're not playing a trick on me?"
Camilla, seeing Mandy's reaction, was instead stunned herself, and subconsciously nodded: "It's such a big diary, Big Sister, can't you see it?"
However, Mandy shook her head: "I'm sorry, in my eyes, there's nothing in your hand."
Saying that, to confirm that she wasn't mistaken, she even walked over to Camilla, then directly reached out and grabbed Camilla's hand that was holding the diary.
Their two hands were clasped tightly together.
Seeing this, Mandy even gestured to Camilla, telling her to take a good look.
However, she noticed that Camilla's eyes were wide, staring at her hand, which was being held by Mandy, as if she had seen something.
Because in her sight, Mandy's hand passed directly through the diary in her hand and only clasped her hand.
It was as if this diary was just an illusion!
However, she truly felt the tactile sensation and weight of the diary, and even when she shook her hand, she could hear a rustling sound from the diary's pages.
But this...
At this moment, Camilla was directly frightened. She suddenly loosened her grip on the diary, and the diary passed through Mandy's wrist without any obstruction, falling to the ground with a 'thud'.
Seeing Camilla's sudden abnormal behavior, Mandy was startled.
She quickly stepped forward and held Camilla's shoulders, asking with some concern, "Little Sister, what's wrong?"
"I... I..."
Camilla looked at Mandy, then pointed at the diary on the ground: "This diary... your hand just passed directly through this diary and grabbed my hand!"
"There's no diary here!"
Mandy frowned, thinking that her little sister might have encountered something during her trip that caused her to hallucinate.
"No, no, no!"
Camilla quickly denied it, and even picked up the diary and shook it in front of Mandy: "It's this one, can't you see it?"
Mandy shook her head helplessly. Now she was almost certain that her little sister must be hallucinating.
Seeing Mandy still shaking her head, Camilla fell silent.
She was very sure that she was not hallucinating; this diary was real!
It was just too mysterious; Mandy seemed unable to see its existence...
Seeing Camilla not speaking, Mandy patted her shoulder and then said, "You should rest well first. In a couple of days, I'll take you to see a friend of mine..."
After speaking, Mandy left.
As for Camilla, she stared at the diary in her hand.
She really wanted to know why only she could see and touch this diary, while Mandy could not.
Perhaps the mystery of this diary was recorded within the diary itself?
Mandy had returned just as she opened it, and she hadn't had time to read it, but she had glanced at it and could see that it was filled with dense Chinese characters.
Camilla thought for a moment, then finally opened the diary.
She wanted to see what was recorded inside this diary that only she could see and touch!
