326: Tengu was annoyed by his own master

Dahuang stared intently at the giant wolf before it, its gaze filled with ferocity and determination.

The giant wolf sensed Dahuang's hostility, opened its bloody maw to reveal sharp fangs, and let out a low growl, preparing for battle.

Dahuang showed no fear; it swiftly pounced on the giant wolf, attacking with its sharp claws and pointed teeth.

The giant wolf was not to be outdone and engaged Dahuang in a fierce struggle.

On the other side, Linglong was also fighting a huge python, which was flicking its tongue and twisting its body agilely as it attacked Linglong.

Linglong nimbly dodged the python's attacks, searching for an opportunity to counterattack.

She pinpointed the python's weakness, used all her might, and intentionally exposed a flaw; seeing the python take the bait, Linglong immediately unleashed a thunderous strike, finally succeeding in hitting the python's fatal vital point.

The python writhed in pain, gradually losing its power to resist.

Watching the python lose its power to resist, a hint of triumph welled up in Linglong's heart.

However, just as it was about to sigh in relief, a sentence Xin Mulan had said to it earlier suddenly flashed in its mind: "When it's weak, take its life!"

This sentence was like a bolt of lightning across Linglong's mind, making it instantly snap back to reality.

It unleashed the weaving flame without hesitation, and the roaring inferno engulfed the python.

The python struggled painfully in the flames but was ultimately powerless to resist, dying a tragic death.

At the same time, Dahuang, who was nearby, also successfully killed the giant wolf.

As the giant wolf fell, an astonishing energy surged from its body, and blood flowed onto the ground, eroding the surrounding vegetation.

A moment later, a rich scent of cooked meat drifted on the wind.

Smelling this enticing aroma, Linglong's eyes immediately straightened, and its attention was completely captured.

It followed the scent and discovered that although the python had been burned to death, its skin was extraordinarily tough, remaining intact even after being incinerated by the intense flames.

However, Linglong could not care less at this moment; it impatiently grabbed the bothersome snake skin, threw it aside, and then began to fully enjoy the delicious python meat.

Dahuang watched the food-obsessed Linglong with exasperation, sighing helplessly, "Stop eating. We should go check on the little fox first, shouldn't we?"

Hearing Dahuang's reminder, Linglong looked up as if waking from a dream, a look of sudden realization on its face: "Oh, right! The little fox! How could I have forgotten it!"

It hurriedly put down the food in its hand and, together with Dahuang, rushed towards where the little fox was.

As they left, it even deliberately put those two pieces of meat on its body, which Dahuang could hardly bear to look at.

Just then, Old Qin appeared beside Linglong and Dahuang, holding the little fox, and said with a smile, "No need to trouble yourselves, I'm already here."

Dahuang and Linglong saw the little fox in Old Qin's arms; although its aura was still very weak, it was no longer in life-threatening danger and was recovering quickly.

It seemed that Old Qin must have fed the little fox some kind of Medicinal Pill for healing when he brought it over.

Then Old Qin gently put down the little fox in his arms, picked up the sword on his body, and began to cut the meat from the python.

Dahuang and the little fox looked at Old Qin's actions with speechless expressions.

Linglong, seeing this, excitedly ran to Old Qin's side and asked him to help roast some meat.

Dahuang sighed deeply, thinking to himself, "I felt a familiar aura before, but I never expected it to be Old Qin. Fortunately, Old Qin was here this time, otherwise, the little fox would have been in quite a dangerous situation!"

Its gaze swept over the ground covered with Yao Beast corpses, most of which were drawn by the little fox using its Enchantment to control Yao Beasts to kill the giant wolf, but these Yao Beasts ultimately died at the giant wolf's hands.

Dahuang returned to its usual demeanor, picked up a Yao Beast corpse from the ground, walked over to Old Qin and the others, and said, "Hey, there are still a lot of Yao Beasts here, hurry up and roast them!"

Old Qin, the tool-person: "..."

...

In various mountain ranges, members of the Special Affairs Handling Bureau were each responsible for an area.

Although everyone faced enormous challenges, fortunately, the fourth spiritual energy tide allowed everyone's cultivation to successfully advance by one level.

Even their contracted mounts gained small improvements under the baptism of this spiritual energy tide.

However, the battle in only one mountain range seemed exceptionally strange.

Xin Mulan rested her chin leisurely, her gaze fixed on the fierce battle of the celestial dog in front of her.

With Yao Beast corpses strewn everywhere, she couldn't help but murmur, "Oh, these Yao Beasts are too weak; they don't even stir my desire to kill. Alas, it's truly because I'm too strong!"

Upon hearing Xin Mulan's words, the Yao Beasts once again fell into a collective frenzy, charging madly towards Xin Mulan.

Seeing this, the celestial dog immediately stepped forward, blocking and engaging in battle with those Yao Beasts.

The celestial dog turned to Xin Mulan and complained, "Master, since you don't want to attack these Yao Beasts, can you please stop provoking them?"

Xin Mulan looked at the restless Yao Beasts with a bewildered expression, asking in confusion, "What's wrong with them? Did they get rabies or something?"

Celestial dog: "..."

Xin Mulan spread her hands helplessly, "How did I not kill any Yao Beasts?"

She paused slightly, then pointed to the pile of Yao Beast corpses next to her, and said self-righteously, "Didn't I kill all of these!"

The celestial dog felt utterly speechless; although the cultivation of these Yao Beasts was not too high, facing such frequent relay battles still left it quite exhausted.

"Master, except for when you excitedly killed a batch of Yao Beasts at the very beginning, you've been sleeping ever since..."

Indeed, at first, Xin Mulan was full of excitement, but after continuously slaying batch after batch of low-cultivation Yao Beasts, she found that their strength was simply too low.

Although there were a few whose cultivation reached Refining Essence and Transforming Qi - Late Stage, for Xin Mulan, who was already in the Refining Qi and Transforming Spirit Realm, killing them was as easy as turning her hand, requiring no effort at all!

Xin Mulan yawned and summoned the celestial dog, "Leave these Yao Beasts to you. I'm sleepy. Remember to wake me up later!"

After making arrangements, Xin Mulan contentedly cast a sealed environment spell on herself and then leisurely fell asleep.

Only the celestial dog was left, watching the waves of Yao Beasts surging towards it like a tide, a sense of powerlessness welling up in its heart.

The celestial dog sighed helplessly, "Although I am not human, you are truly a dog!"

Thus, the celestial dog fought in a bloody battle throughout the entire night, continuously slaying the surging Yao Beasts.

During this time, he called out to Xin Mulan many times for assistance, but each time he either only received a sword thrown by Xin Mulan in response or was ignored, after which she would simply lie back down and fall asleep again.

In the blink of an eye, the sky in the distance began to lighten, and dawn broke.

The celestial dog originally thought Xin Mulan would get up at this time to help kill Yao Beasts, but the reality greatly disappointed it.

Not only did Xin Mulan not lift a finger, but her mouth incessantly verbally attacked those Yao Beasts, making them even more furious and determined to kill her.

Yet, she herself remained completely unconcerned, continuing to act as the venomous-tongued queen, and the celestial dog was completely numb...
