81: Seriously injured Carlos

Hearing this, Carlos knew today would be a fight for his life. He was the first to condense magic, forming a Magic Shield around himself. Then, he unleashed his lightning element at full power, sending bolts of electricity darting out from his body in all directions.

Several nearby Rocket Troopers were struck down immediately, while those further away quickly flew clear of Carlos. Huang Yichen remained motionless; the lightning hitting him was like a mere itch, causing nothing more than slight damage to his clothes.

Ravich had activated his Magic Shield early, so the lightning didn't harm him at all. Xie Yanwen fared the worst; on the ground, he dodged left and right, barely avoiding the attacks. However, he was also the first to counterattack.

Since the forest was nearby, countless vines extended from the branches toward Carlos. Dozens of vines wrapped him tightly, forming a large, spherical vine ball outside his Magic Shield.

"Hah—!" With a sudden roar, countless currents of electricity erupted from Carlos. The massive sphere was instantly pierced by numerous yellow threads of light. These threads slowly turned black as the sphere split apart.

Huang Yichen and Ravich struck simultaneously. Hard Earth Walls appeared around Carlos, boxing him in. Even an Earth Wall rose beneath his feet to prevent an escape from below, leaving only an exit at the top.

As Carlos prepared to flee through the top, Ravich appeared above the exit. A white, circular Magic Array appeared beneath his feet, releasing a tornado from within. The tornado, filled with wind blades, attacked inside the earthen box, the blades grinding against Carlos's Magic Shield.

While struggling to maintain his Magic Shield, Carlos chanted: "Destroy all that exists in this world, welcome the arrival of the God of Destruction—Explosive Thunder Descent Incantation!"

Hearing Carlos's chant, Ravich countered with his own ultimate move: "O God of Wind... use your endless power to tear the rift in space, freezing eternal time in an instant—Air Barrier!"

A blue Magic Array appeared above Carlos's head, firing ball lightning one after another at Ravich. Meanwhile, the white Magic Array beneath Ravich's feet released a human-sized white wind sphere. The sphere was a vacuum, containing not a trace of oxygen.

As the white vacuum sphere enveloped Carlos, the ball lightning flew out from the earthen box's exit, following a bizarre, winding trajectory toward Ravich.

When the ball lightning shattered Ravich's Magic Shield, Carlos, inside the vacuum sphere, simultaneously ran out of oxygen. With a loud bang, Ravich was sent flying, crashing heavily to the ground and spitting blood, his health bar reduced to a sliver of red.

Carlos fainted from the lack of oxygen, and his Magic Shield vanished. The vacuum sphere transformed into wind blades, which then slashed into Carlos's body.

The two had essentially chanted and been hit at the same time. After being struck by the wind blades, Carlos was covered in wounds and spitting blood, but fortunately, he could breathe again. After a fit of dry coughing, his bloody mouth greedily gulped down the air.

At that moment, Huang Yichen flew into the earthen box through the top opening, looking down at Carlos with disdain.

Just as Carlos stood up to condense magic for an attack, Huang Yichen kicked him in the chest. Another mouthful of blood sprayed out, splashing onto Huang Yichen.

Huang Yichen stepped forward and pummeled Carlos. Magicians naturally had weak physical defense; without his Magic Shield, Carlos couldn't withstand Huang Yichen's heavy blows and quickly blacked out.

The earthen box slowly descended to the ground and then quickly merged back into the earth, leaving only Carlos and Huang Yichen lying there.

"It’s a pity I didn't bring Yuri this time. What a perfect opportunity!" Through the system's Gods Perspective, Wei He watched the fallen Carlos, realizing it was the ideal time to control him.

Although he hadn't brought Yuri, Wei He had brought over a dozen Spies. He immediately ordered one Spy to disguise himself as Carlos and return to Empty Ground City in his place, while the real Carlos was taken into custody by the Red Alert Troops.
