98: Chapter 98 Global Mobilization

The day after promoting to S-rank, Chen Mo made a decision.

He contacted everyone he could reach: Iron Bear, Hawkeye, Shadow, Knight, Ranger, Hunter, and those Chosen Ones listed on the intelligence network.

The message was sent out through the global channel, and in less than an hour, replies flooded back like a tide.

"Iron Bear: Tell me when, and I will bring my people."

"Hawkeye: How many people do you need?"

"Shadow: I'm in."

"Knight: The people in the Europa Zone are ready."

"Ranger: The North American Zone is on standby."

"Hunter: There aren't many people in the South American Zone, but they are all skilled."

Chen Mo looked at those replies; it was enough.

He issued his first global command: "Everyone, gather at Trading Post No. 1 in three days."

The channel was silent for a few seconds, then Iron Bear replied with one word: "Good."

Next was Hawkeye: "Received."

Shadow: "Present."

Knight: "On time."

Ranger: "No problem."

Hunter: "Understood."

Chen Mo closed the channel and stood up while Lin Wei watched him from the side: "Are you really going to do this?"

Chen Mo nodded and walked to the window to look at the sky outside.

That eye was still in the distance, suspended in mid-air, with countless threads surging within its golden pupil; it was waiting for him.

"Global mobilization," Chen Mo said, "Everyone will attack the Source of the Sequence together while the will of the ghost realm is resting."

Lin Wei paused for a moment: "How do you know when it rests?"

Chen Mo took the traitor's notebook out of his pocket and turned to that page: "According to the records of the Transaction Master, the will of the ghost realm must rest once every seven days, and it cannot interfere with reality during its rest."

He pointed to that line of text: "Tomorrow is the seventh day."

Lin Wei was silent for a few seconds: "Are you sure about this?"

Chen Mo did not answer; he just looked out the window.

Three days later, Trading Post No. 1 had changed.

The parking lot was full of cars, from modified off-road vehicles to heavy trucks; there was everything.

The supermarket was crowded with people; Chosen Ones from various regions gathered together, some checking their weapons, some whispering to each other, and some resting with their eyes closed.

Iron Bear stood at the entrance with his people behind him.

Hawkeye was in the second-floor corridor with his sniper rifle set up.

Shadow was hidden in a corner; she couldn't be seen, but her presence could be felt.

Knight was wearing armor, holding a greatsword in his hand.

Ranger was organizing his gear, and Hunter was counting ammunition.

Old Zhou stood behind the checkout counter, watching those people: "Are you sure you want to do this?"

Chen Mo nodded.

Old Zhou looked at him for a long time and then smiled: "Alright. I'll watch the house for you."

Chen Mo didn't speak; he turned and walked toward the door with those people following behind him: Iron Bear, Hawkeye, Shadow, Knight, Ranger, Hunter, and many more people he didn't know.

They followed him out of the supermarket, out of the parking lot, and toward the road leading to the Source of the Sequence.

The motorcade set off in a grand procession.

Chen Mo's pickup truck was at the very front, followed by Iron Bear's off-road vehicle, then Hawkeye's sniper vehicle, followed by Knight's heavy truck, Ranger's scout car, and Hunter's assault vehicle.

There were dozens of other vehicles belonging to other Chosen Ones, forming a long line that stretched along the gray road.

After driving for three hours, the entrance to the Source of the Sequence appeared ahead.

That golden door was still as large and tall as ever, and the patterns on the door were flowing as if it were breathing.

Chen Mo pushed open the car door and stepped out, and the people behind him also got out.

He turned around and looked at them—hundreds of faces, some familiar, some unknown, some who had been following him since the first day, and some who were meeting him for the first time, but they were all here.

"Once we go in," Chen Mo said, "do not act alone. Do not try to be a hero. Follow the person in front of you."

He paused: "Come back alive."

No one spoke; they just nodded.

Chen Mo turned and walked toward the door, raised his hand, and pressed it against the palm-shaped indentation.

The door opened.

Golden light poured out from the crack in the door, illuminating everyone's faces.

Chen Mo walked in, and the people behind him followed.

The Source of the Sequence; he had arrived, and this time, he was not alone.
