123: Hell is empty; I will transform into an Asura and cleanse the human world!

Lu Sheng stepped out of the deformed iron door.

The daylight outside was somewhat blinding. The sea breeze, carrying the characteristic fermented stench of the Trash Mountain, blew against his face, yet it couldn't disperse the bloody aura he had just brought out from hell.

On the hem of his white naval coat, a few spots of dark red mud were particularly eye-catching.

"Major Lu!"

Qin Yue approached with a squad of fully armed soldiers, her tactical boots splashing in the puddles.

She immediately saw the dark container entrance behind Lu Sheng, then looked at his expressionless face, and her heart tightened for some reason.

It was too quiet.

Logically, having found over a dozen Spirit Source Users, even if they were weak, there should have been some movement.

But the inside was as deathly silent as an old grave that had just been sealed with earth.

"The Spirit Source Users inside..." Qin Yue's voice trembled. She had a vague guess but didn't dare believe it, so she could only ask tentatively, "Do you need stretchers? The military medics are right behind us."

Lu Sheng stopped, not looking back.

In his golden vertical pupils, the images of mangled limbs and desperate smiles were gradually settling, finally sealed away by a thick layer of frost.

"No need."

Lu Sheng's voice was very soft. "Their bodies had long since collapsed. Just now... they all left."

Qin Yue's feet halted, and her whole body froze in place. "They all... left?"

"Mhm."

Lu Sheng pulled a cigarette pack from his pocket. Regardless of whether his hands were stained with blood, he took one out and put it in his mouth. "I sent them on their final journey. They didn't suffer; they went peacefully."

As for the bodies, they were already lying in his storage space.

This Trash Mountain was too filthy, covered everywhere with the excrement of those green-skinned monsters and other foul things; it wasn't a fitting place for them.

Once they reached the deep sea, he would find a patch of clean blue water and let them return to the ocean in a state of purity.

The scene was deathly silent.

Only the monotonous sound of waves hitting scrap metal could be heard in the distance.

Qin Yue opened her mouth, looking at Lu Sheng's straight yet somewhat desolate back, but ultimately asked nothing.

"Major Qin."

Lu Sheng lit his cigarette and took a deep drag. As the spark flickered, that sense of compassion instantly vanished, replaced by a heart-shaking coldness and hardness.

"Present!" Qin Yue subconsciously snapped her legs together and stood at attention.

"Take your men and use gasoline and incendiary bombs. Pile them all into this Container Fortress." Lu Sheng pointed at the wicked palace behind him with the cigarette between his fingers. "Burn this place clean. Don't let such a filthy place remain in this world to sicken people."

"Yes, sir!"

Qin Yue gritted her teeth, gave a standard military salute, and turned to roar at the red-eyed soldiers behind her, "Are you all deaf?! Move the oil drums! Burn this hellhole to the ground!"

"Clang! Clang!"

The sound of oil drums rolling echoed across the ruins.

The soldiers silently carried out the order. No one spoke; there was only the sound of heavy breathing.

They didn't know exactly what had happened inside, but the thick, choking smell of blood was enough to explain everything.

Zhou Hai, Zhao Ze, and Su Li stood to the side.

Zhou Hai's fat face, which usually wore a cheeky grin, was now terrifyingly grim, his muscles trembling with every breath.

He looked at Lu Sheng, his voice muffled as if squeezed from his chest. "Little Lu, there were dozens of those green-skinned bastards who took advantage of the chaos to run behind the ruins..."

"Run?"

Lu Sheng suddenly looked up.

In that instant, Zhou Hai felt as if he were being stared at by an ancient ferocious beast, and his scalp tingled.

The golden light in the depths of Lu Sheng's eyes was no longer a divine majesty, but pure, tyrannical killing intent.

"On this sea, anyone can live, except for these beasts."

Lu Sheng flipped his wrist, and the 1,600-pound dragon devouring spear appeared in his hand out of thin air. The shaft vibrated, letting out a hum that craved blood.

"Follow me."

Before his voice could fade, the sheet metal beneath his feet collapsed with a bang.

Lu Sheng transformed into a streak of white lightning, directly bypassing the soldiers still moving oil drums. Treading over the shaky piles of trash, he charged straight for the highest ruins of the Trash Mountain.

"Don't let a single one escape! I want them... exterminated."

"Got it!!"

Zhou Hai roared, slamming his fists together. With a boom, a ball of scorching flames erupted. "I've been itching for a fight! Brother Zhao, Sister Su, keep up!!"

"Kill!"

Zhao Ze growled, raising his massive shield covered in meat paste, charging forward like a human tank.

Su Li didn't say a word, her figure blending into the shadows like a ghost as she followed closely.

The four figures, carrying four overwhelming waves of rage, were like a sharp knife stabbing deep into the heart of the Trash Mountain.

Along the way, several low-level Sea Monkeys hiding in discarded tires and attempting to ambush them with blowdarts had just poked their heads out. Before they could even see who was coming, they were sliced into pieces by the passing wind of the blades.

"Pfft!"

Lu Sheng didn't even look, sweeping the dragon devouring spear casually.

The heads of those Sea Monkeys were like watermelons hit by a baseball bat, instantly bursting and spraying red and white matter all over the ground.

"Squeak, squeak, squeak—!!"

At the top of the Trash Mountain, the group of Sea Monkeys who thought they had escaped death let out terrified screams as they saw the four gods of death approaching.

They tried to use the terrain to their advantage, pushing down scrap cars and giant rubber tires to block them.

"Get out of the way!"

Zhou Hai charged at the front. Facing the rolling scrap sedan, he didn't dodge.

"Explosive Flame Fist!!"

He threw a punch, and the high-temperature flames instantly detonated the car's fuel tank.

"Boom—!"

Flames soared into the sky. The car was sent flying back by the punch, instead crushing several unlucky Sea Monkeys behind it.

"Hahahaha! Turn into roasted meat for me!" Zhou Hai laughed wildly, his laughter filled with hostility.

Lu Sheng was the fastest. In a few leaps, he was already standing at the highest point of the Trash Mountain.

Gathered here were the last hundred or so Level 4 Elite Sea Monkeys. They held various pieces of junk as weapons, their backs against the trash cliff, with nowhere left to retreat.

Looking at the white-clothed man approaching with a spear, these monsters who usually took pleasure in torturing humans finally understood what true fear was.

Several larger male Sea Monkeys threw down their weapons and knelt on the ground, kowtowing frantically to Lu Sheng while letting out whimpers for mercy.

They possessed intelligence and knew who the boss was, attempting to trade their submission for a chance to live.

Lu Sheng stopped, the tip of his spear pointing at the ground, dripping black blood.

He looked at the monsters kowtowing and begging for mercy, his lips curling into a cold arc.

"Now you know fear?"

"Weren't you very formidable before?"

Lu Sheng raised his foot and stepped on the head of a Sea Monkey.

He applied pressure.

"Crack."

The sound of the skull shattering was crisp and pleasant to his ears.

Lu Sheng looked up, his golden pupils scanning the area, his voice as cold as if it came from the depths of hell.

"Kill them all. Leave none alive."

Hell is empty, and the demons are among us?

No.

The dragon devouring spear swept out, bringing with it a storm of blood and gore.

"Since the demons are among us, then I shall become Shura and cleanse this world!"
