270: Transformation! A two-hundred-meter-long, five-clawed golden dragon tears through the sky!

Dead silence.

Only the sound of the wind remained on the Martial Arts Arena, along with the dripping sound of blood flowing through the cracks in the rubble.

Lu Sheng casually carried the several-thousand-pound dragon devouring spear on his shoulder, the tip of the spear occasionally bumping against the ground, sparking a few embers.

He yawned somewhat boredly, his gaze sweeping across the heads of the people kneeling on the ground.

Boring.

Too weak, so weak that he couldn't even find the interest to deliver a finishing blow.

It was like a fully armed special forces soldier rushing into a kindergarten; even if he knocked everyone down, there would be no sense of accomplishment, only feeling like a pervert bullying children.

“A bunch of cowards.”

Lu Sheng curled his lip and turned to leave.

He still had to go find Old Man Li to get reimbursed for that Coiled Dragon Pillar; that thing looked like an antique and probably wasn't cheap.

Just as he turned around.

Boom—!

The observation platform to the north of the Martial Arts Arena exploded without any warning.

It wasn't an explosion; it was melting.

The hard Obsidian steps turned into crimson magma in the blink of an eye, flowing down, as a purple heat wave burst into the arena overbearingly. The moisture in the air was instantly evaporated, and everyone could smell the scorched scent of their hair and eyebrows being roasted by the high temperature.

This aura was not only strong but also arrogant.

It was an arrogance that had nobility etched into its very bones.

Lu Sheng's footsteps halted.

He slowly turned back, his originally somewhat sleepy eyes opening a bit more, his dark gold pupils reflecting the Purple Fire filling the sky.

Finally, someone capable has arrived.

“Lu Sheng, does bullying a bunch of trash give you a sense of superiority?”

The cold female voice came with its own reverb, possessing a metallic quality.

Whoosh!

A purple-red stream of light tore through the atmosphere, crashing heavily a hundred meters in front of Lu Sheng.

Thud!

The earth wailed as a circular shockwave leveled all the surrounding ruins.

The dust was forcibly burned through by the high temperature, and a slender figure stepped out from the magma.

Luo Tianfei.

This woman had changed.

If a month ago she was just an unpolished piece of jade, now she was a lethal weapon fresh from the forge.

Dark red soft armor clung to her skin, outlining explosive muscle lines. Behind her, the feather cloak condensed from spiritual energy moved without wind; with every flutter, the surrounding space distorted slightly.

Level 20, Spirit Apprentice extreme realm.

That familiar, kindred aura made the dragon blood within Lu Sheng's body begin to stir.

“Yo, Big Stupid Bird.”

Lu Sheng whistled, his tone flippant: “It seems that muscle man gave you quite a few private lessons. This physique looks much sturdier than before; it should be able to take a few more hits from me.”

“Your mouth is still as foul as ever.”

Luo Tianfei flipped her wrist, and purple flames gathered in the void, condensing into an exaggeratedly designed longsword.

She didn't look at the tens of thousands of people kneeling around her, nor did she look at the Elders in the sky; her eyes held only Lu Sheng.

This past month, she had lived and died repeatedly in Elder Xing Tian's Fire Prison.

Every inch of her skin had been scorched and then reconstructed. The only thought that supported her crawling out was to trample this bastard before her under her feet.

“Elder Xing Tian told me that if I want to win against you, I have to be even crazier than you.”

Luo Tianfei's voice was light, yet it carried a ruthless intensity: “Lu Sheng, last time you said you were a Dragon and I was a chicken. Today, I'll show you exactly who the useless one with only a tough mouth is.”

“Want me to change my tune?”

Lu Sheng gripped the spear shaft with one hand and gave it a sudden shake.

Whirr—!

A terrifying wind pressure exploded from the ground, making the faces of the kneeling Disciples tremble.

He grinned, revealing a row of forest-white teeth, his smile brilliant and cruel: “That depends on whether your skills are as hard as your pectoral muscles!”

“You're looking for death!!”

Luo Tianfei's last string of reason snapped.

Boom!

A purple afterimage was left in place as the high temperature plowed a deep trench into the ground.

Too fast!

So fast that even the retina couldn't capture the physical form; one could only feel a heat wave strong enough to melt steel rushing toward them.

Lu Sheng didn't retreat but advanced instead.

“Good timing!”

He swung the dragon devouring spear in a wide arc, using no spear techniques at all, just treating it like a club and smashing it down fiercely toward the purple shadow ahead!

Clang————!!!

The spear tip and sword edge collided.

There were no fancy techniques, just pure power against power, Law biting against Law.

A visible purple-gold bi-colored shockwave swept out.

Crack!

The ground within a hundred-meter radius shattered and collapsed like a brittle biscuit.

Those Core Disciples who were kneeling slightly closer couldn't even let out a scream before being sent flying hundreds of meters by the blast of air, spitting out a mouthful of blood while still in mid-air.

“Run! Run quickly!”

“This is a fight between gods, and we Mortals are the ones suffering!”

The crowd went wild, scrambling and crawling toward the edge of the Martial Arts Arena.

In the center of the arena.

Clang clang clang clang clang! The dense sounds of metal clashing merged into one, like dozens of pile drivers working simultaneously.

Lu Sheng grew more excited as he fought; the dragon devouring spear came alive in his hands, each strike carrying the weight of a thousand tons, aiming directly at Luo Tianfei's throat and heart.

“Nice speed! A little faster!”

“Haven't you eaten? Use some force!”

“Is this all the heat you've got? It's not even enough to tickle me!”

While he attacked wildly, he still had the leisure to spout trash talk.

Luo Tianfei gritted her teeth, not saying a word.

She felt like she was in a melee with a human-shaped Tyrannosaurus.

With every collision, the webbing between her thumb and index finger shook until it was numb. That unreasonable, monstrous force transmitted through the sword, shaking her internal organs out of place.

But this only further incited her ferocity.

Purple Fire!

Even stronger Purple Fire!

“Get lost!!”

Luo Tianfei shrieked, the purple flames on her longsword surging by three feet, actually managing to hold back Lu Sheng's heavy spear. She followed up with a backhand slash toward Lu Sheng's neck.

Sizzle!

Lu Sheng tilted his head back to dodge, but the terrifying heat still scorched his collar, leaving a red mark on his neck.

“A bit interesting.”

Lu Sheng touched his neck; the stinging sensation from his skin made his adrenaline surge.

“It seems if I don't show some real skill, I really won't be able to pin you down.”

The two collided once more and used the force to spring apart.

Each slid back fifty meters.

Lu Sheng stabbed the dragon devouring spear into the ground.

Thud!

Half the spear shaft sank into the rock.

He began to unbutton his shirt.

One button, two buttons.

His movements were slow and deliberate, but as he moved, the light in the entire Martial Arts Arena seemed to dim.

A terrifying sense of oppression, originating from the top of an ancient food chain, was awakening.

The air became viscous, so heavy it was hard to breathe.

“Roar...”

A low roar resonated from Lu Sheng's chest, a frequency that did not belong to humans at all.

Crack! Crack!

The sound of bones popping was enough to set one's teeth on edge.

Under Lu Sheng's skin, dark gold patterns roamed wildly. Every inch of muscle was compressing and hardening, becoming like cast divine gold.

“Warm-up is over.”

Lu Sheng raised his head; those eyes that originally belonged to a human had completely disappeared, replaced by two vertical pupils burning with golden flames.

“Big Stupid Bird, are you ready...”

“...to take a beating?”

Roar————!!!

A dragon's roar shattered the drifting clouds in the sky.

Golden light exploded, stinging everyone's eyes so much that they had to cover them as tears flowed.

Lu Sheng's entire being soared into the sky, his form expanding rapidly against the wind.

Ten meters. Fifty meters. One hundred meters!

Still growing!

Two hundred meters!

The air was compressed by the massive body, producing deafening sonic booms, and the spatial barriers were creaking.

In just a single breath.

A Five-Clawed Golden Dragon, over two hundred meters long and covered in intricate dark gold dragon scales, coiled in the sky above the Martial Arts Arena.

Dragon horns majestically pierced the firmament, and dragon whiskers danced in the clouds like two golden heavenly whips.

Those massive Dragon Eyes held no emotion, coldly looking down at the ants below.

Suffocation.

Everyone forgot to breathe.

The tens of thousands of Disciples at the edge of the Martial Arts Arena had even their courage to stand drained away at this moment. Their legs gave out, and they all knelt down neatly once again.

It wasn't because of fear, but absolute suppression at the genetic level.

It was the instinct when facing a deity.

“Dragon... a True Dragon...”

An Outer Sect Elder's hands trembled, his beard quivering: “This old man's life... has been worth it!”

However, the shock had only just begun.

Screech————!!!

On the ground, a cry that could pierce clouds and shatter rocks rivaled the dragon's roar.

Boom!

A sea of Purple Fire soared into the sky, burning half the sky into an eerie purple-red.

In the center of the sea of fire, a Divine Phoenix with a wingspan also exceeding two hundred meters took flight.

Every feather flowed with materialized magma—noble, coldly elegant, and possessing a domineering aura that could incinerate the Eight Desolations.

One Dragon, one Phoenix.

One gold, one purple.

The two gargantuan beings blotted out the sun, turning this piece of heaven and earth into their mythological arena.

The entire Dengxian Island trembled under the collision of these two auras.

Above the clouds.

Li Xiaoyao and Elder Xing Tian, along with a group of other Elders, stood side by side, their expressions more brilliant than the last.

“Tsk tsk, the true forms of these two little monsters have grown again.”

Elder Xing Tian stroked his stubbly chin, a face full of envy: “If they could be caught and used as mounts, how cool would that be?”

“You can just say it if you want to die.”

Li Xiaoyao shot him a sidelong glance, but the pride in his eyes couldn't be hidden: “Just watch, the real show has only just begun. These two little fellows have been holding back for a whole month.”
