23: Four hundred people? I'll take them all!

At noon, Jiang Chuan arranged for Old Li to order some dishes from a restaurant and have them delivered to the company.

With six dishes and one soup, including fish and meat, it was quite a feast.

The group sat down in the cafeteria, reporting on their work while they ate lunch.

Shen Jincheng was clearly acquainted with everyone; without much small talk, he went straight into his report:

"Third Bro, we signed a total of twenty-three Streamers this morning: 13 B-rank contracts, 9 A-rank, and 1 top-tier."

Jiang Chuan took the contracts and flipped through them. Most of the ones from Falling City were girls, but the ones signed by Boss and Fourth Bro were mostly boys, primarily gaming Streamers.

"As long as they pass the screening, sign as many as you can. This is the most critical period. Once we get over this hurdle, it'll be smooth sailing ahead!"

Shen Jincheng guaranteed, "Don't worry, Boss and Fourth Bro are still contacting people on the list. There will definitely be more before the app goes live."

Shen Qingning chimed in, "It's fine for now, but once the app is launched, we'll definitely be overwhelmed. I suggest we hire some more people."

Jiang Chuan nodded. "Don't worry, I've already planned for that. I'll head over to take a look this afternoon."

He continued with a smile, "We also need to hire some ground promotion personnel. We can't have our President Shen running all the sales business herself."

"Third Bro, at least you have some conscience!" Shen Jincheng agreed emphatically.

"Hahaha." Lin Wanjie and the others burst into laughter.

After a quick lunch, everyone resumed their busy work.

Whether it was the PR Department or the HR Department, everyone held multiple roles, moving wherever they were needed, busy to the point their feet barely touched the ground.

Jiang Chuan had already summoned Uncle Li while eating. When he stepped out of the company, Uncle Li was already waiting at the door.

Getting into the car, he called Tan Jing to ask her to be his guide. She agreed readily, and they arranged to meet at Luocheng University.

The last time he looked for the dorms, it took him forever and was a waste of time. He had to find a guide, and it was also a good chance to talk to her about future development directions.

Tan Jing was the only top-tier contract in Falling City and a key part of Jiang Chuan's plan.

In his past life, Luocheng University had many well-known talents. He wasn't familiar with many of them, but they were more than enough for the current Starlight.

Although university students lacked experience, they were cheap and obedient, making them easier to train than the old foxes in society.

As soon as Jiang Chuan arrived at Luocheng University, he spotted Tan Jing at a glance; she was simply too conspicuous in the crowd.

She had an exquisite heart-shaped face with light makeup, and her long hair was tied in a high ponytail, revealing a snowy-white swan neck.

She wore a long dress that reached her calves, black leather shoes, and short white lace socks, looking very much like a lady.

"She was so popular in my past life without even showing her face. I wonder how popular she'll be if she does."

Jiang Chuan thought curiously, but it was just a thought; he didn't have a habit of being a voyeur.

"Tan Jing! You're here so early."

Jiang Chuan got out of the car, grabbed two bottles of water and a sun umbrella from the trunk, and greeted her with a smile.

This was just a subconscious action accumulated from his past life, done without thinking—a case of practice makes perfect.

"Jiang Chuan! You're here. I only just arrived myself."

Seeing him, the girl's eyes brightened a bit, and she gave a bright smile while waving her hand.

Jiang Chuan walked over holding the umbrella and shielded her under it, saying:

"I'll have to trouble Guide Tan today. I've nothing else to thank you with, so let me provide some shade for you."

"You're too polite. You used to help me all the time, so I'm happy to be able to help you with something."

Tan Jing stood under the umbrella without stepping back, looking him straight in the eye as she spoke sincerely.

Jiang Chuan couldn't remember what he had helped her with and didn't ask; most of his past experiences weren't very pleasant.

"Let's go. First, we'll head to the Part-time Job Society. This is your home turf, so I'm counting on you."

"No problem. The current president is a junior of mine, and we have a pretty good relationship," Tan Jing said with confidence.

Following her lead, Jiang Chuan arrived at the Part-time Job Society he used to frequent during university. The society at Luocheng University carried a lot of weight and had many members.

He had joined the Part-time Job Society back in university, and Tan Jing was naturally a member as well; that was when the two of them had met.

Entering the room, the first thing he saw was a large screen in the center showing which part-time jobs were still available, followed by information like pay and hours.

The information on this screen was synchronized to the app of every club member, so there was no need to come to the club to pick up tasks.

Everything could be done through the app, which the president had personally designed to save a lot of time.

Therefore, there weren't many people in the room, only a few girls acting as receptionists sitting on the sofa chatting. Hearing the sound of the door opening, they all turned to look.

"Senior Student Tan? Why are you here?"

"Long time no see, Senior Student Tan."

"Is this Jiang Chuan? You're even more handsome than before, I almost didn't recognize you!"

Tan Jing waved to everyone, clearly very familiar with the place, and said with a smile, "Long time no see. We're looking for Xiao Ke, is she here?"

"The president is upstairs. You can just go right up."

Jiang Chuan waved with a smile. Everyone seemed to know him, but he didn't know any of their names, so he just followed closely behind Tan Jing as they went upstairs.

When the two reached the second floor, they met the president of the society, who was a girl.

She was probably about 1.5 meters tall, with twin tails and a small skirt, looking like a middle school student.

Tan Jing walked over, cupped the girl's small face in her hands, and said with a smile, "Long time no see, Xiao Ke! You're still as cute as ever!"

Tang Ke slapped away the 'demon claws' reaching for her and rolled her eyes, saying, "You always treat me like a kid. I'm only a year younger than you, okay!"

"Alright, alright, I just couldn't help it! Jiang Chuan has something to ask you, and I'm here to help persuade you." Tan Jing stepped aside to make room.

"Oh! Senior Jiang is here too. Let's sit and talk. What do you need from me?" Tang Ke sat on a chair, her small feet unable to touch the floor, swinging in the air.

Jiang Chuan wasn't a stiff person; he found a comfortable position, crossed his legs, and said:

"It's like this. I've started a streaming company. I thought instead of hiring from outside, it would be better to come here and help our juniors."

Hearing it was serious business, Tang Ke straightened her posture and tried to look solemn:

"That's a good thing. Thank you for the opportunity, Senior Jiang. I'll definitely help with this. How many people do you need?"

"How many people are in our Part-time Job Society right now?" Jiang Chuan asked curiously.

Tang Ke said without hesitation, "A total of 384 people: 72 freshmen, 136 sophomores, 176 juniors. 248 males and 136 females."

Jiang Chuan frowned. The number was a bit less than he expected; ground promotion alone needed more than that.

Moreover, unless there was a special reason, it was hard for freshmen to do part-time work for long periods.

Tang Ke was also a talent he had to get—a genius from the Computer Science Department. Future operations and maintenance couldn't always be outsourced; it was best to have his own team.

Seeing him frown, Tang Ke quickly explained:

"You're a graduate of Luoda and our senior, so we can lower the price for you a bit."

Upon hearing this, Jiang Chuan smiled and said:

"Junior, you've misunderstood. I can take all of them, and the price will be higher than the market rate. We can even sign long-term contracts, but I have one requirement."

"What? You want all nearly four hundred people? And for long-term part-time work?" Tang Ke felt her head buzzing.

Tan Jing: "???"
