51: The time has come

The wind and rain had subsided; the delicate flower could not withstand more of the lord's favor, so they held each other and chatted idly.

Tan Jing's face was flushed as she panted softly, leaning against Jiang Chuan's shoulder and feeling the lingering afterglow.

Her small hand drew circles on his chest as she asked with some confusion:

"How did you know what size clothes I wear?"

Jiang Chuan held her fair, tender shoulder and said with a smile:

"Do you still remember Wang Huiru?"

"Of course I remember! She's my college roommate!"

Tan Jing suddenly realized. She picked up the organized photo album from the nightstand and flipped through it, asking:

"So you asked her for these photos too?"

"It's a secret!"

"You bad man! Buying so many indecent clothes!"

Tan Jing wrinkled her small nose cutely. Since he wouldn't say, she didn't ask further, her eyes full of tenderness as she looked at the photos of herself.

Those photos were found by Tang Ke with a great deal of effort.

One could say she had scoured the entire Luoda University; it was clear how much heart Jiang Chuan had put into this.

The room decoration was handled by Yang Xue and the hotel staff, and everything was purchased by Uncle Li according to Jiang Chuan's list.

The projector was simple; he just had to record a video.

As for the magic!

Jiang Chuan didn't know any magic; he just put things into the system.

Then he would suddenly take them out. Could that be considered a kind of magic?

These things had been in preparation for a long time, starting right after Tan Jing acted as his guide at Luoda University.

Initially, he planned to do it at the hotel, but now that he had a house, this was naturally the best choice.

Tan Jing had originally agreed to cook for him today, but now her movements were restricted.

The bad man had been quite rough when he made his move, so they had no choice but to order takeout.

After his attempt at noon, Jiang Chuan had sworn never to cook again. It was one thing for the food to lack color, aroma, and taste, but if he caused food poisoning, that would be trouble.

After a simple dinner, Tan Jing sat on the edge of the bed, took off her stockings, changed into a white lace nightgown, stood up, and waved her hand.

"I'm going to stream!"

The good thing about not turning on the camera was that she didn't need to wear makeup or worry about her clothes, since no one could see her anyway.

Jiang Chuan rewarded her with a blown kiss and watched her walk out of the bedroom before taking out his laptop to start working.

He estimated she wouldn't stop streaming until the early hours of the morning again. There was no use trying to persuade her; she worked eight hours a day.

In this era, that was already considered very fortunate; those on 996 or 007 schedules were the ones truly suffering.

Moreover, she was a girl with strong self-esteem; she was always on the front lines for anything that could help him.

If Jiang Chuan hadn't been here these past two days, she likely would have spent all her time streaming to make money for Starlight, except for eating and sleeping.

However, Tan Jing's voice-processing ability was truly strong, as Jiang Chuan had just experienced firsthand.

Loli voice, mature sister voice, older woman voice—she could do them all with ease. Combined with white stockings and twin-tails, he found it hard to resist.

Jiang Chuan shook his head to clear out the dirty thoughts and looked seriously at the latest data.

Today, Silver Star and Sunset were practically beating each other's brains out, poaching talent and launching constant events.

With such massive spending, they would likely need to seek financing before long.

"When it's not your own money, you really don't treat it like money."

Jiang Chuan shook his head, feeling pity for the two companies. Now, even if they wanted to stop, they couldn't.

More and more companies were joining the fray, wanting a piece of the pie.

If you take a step back, you'll be suppressed by others forever. The streaming industry pie is only so big.

If other platforms have events and lucky draws for watching streams, why would I come to yours?

This was why companies joined the arena. They didn't want to, but they had no choice; not joining meant death!

With a massive loss of viewers and Streamers, who could sit still?

Since they were going to die anyway, they might as well take a gamble. What if I'm the one left standing at the end?

Of course, some exited the stage, selling their companies to Deep Sea or Competitive Creation. "You guys fight, I'm out!"

Jiang Chuan had stirred up a wind that turned the entire streaming industry into a chaotic, bloody mess.

And him? He was lying low! Watching the show from away from the battlefield, having a great time. One moment he was supporting his brother, Old Sun.

The next, he became a die-hard fan of Silver Star, frantically stirring up trouble and driving the hatred between the two fanbases higher and higher.

But there were quite a few people online watching Starlight's movements; it just hadn't been publicized.

No one was paying attention to this company that had been kicked out of the battlefield. Starlight was naturally happy with this, picking up the loot scattered everywhere and developing stealthily.

Don't forget, the ground promotion army was still working, Luocheng University was in action, and a large number of Streamers were hidden among them under Jiang Chuan's command.

All the hidden threads were buried in the shadows, waiting for the right moment. The two big fish, Sunset and Silver Star—even Deep Sea and Competitive Creation couldn't keep them. Jiang Chuan said so!

Knowing Xiao Jing would be streaming until the early hours, Jiang Chuan didn't wait for her. After finishing his work, he closed his laptop, washed up, and went to sleep early.

A new week began!

On Monday, Sunset officially announced that their concurrent online users had reached five hundred thousand.

Sun Zhenfeng held a celebration ceremony that evening and distributed a large amount of event prize money. For a time, he was in the spotlight, officially stepping into the top-tier ranks!

On Tuesday, Silver Star caught up, pouring in massive funds to increase the prize money for their Streamer support program. Their concurrent online users also broke the five hundred thousand mark!

On Wednesday, the two companies were poaching from each other, and the fighting became truly heated.

Old Sun secretly went to Hangzhou City and poured hot water on Silver Star's money tree. He was caught on camera, experiencing the power of trending searches for the first time.

Silver Star's Chairman Chen Xu was not to be outdone. He ran to Falling City and pulled the internet cables of the Sunset company.

He was discovered by Old Sun, and the two came to blows at the entrance of Sunset. According to rumors, Old Sun's already sparse hair was completely gone this time.

Netizens were frantically following the drama. Wasn't this better than some celebrity's cheating scandal? Business moguls pulling each other's hair live—this scene was truly a once-in-a-century sight!

But the heavily consumed funds were finally about to run out.

They temporarily reached a stabilization period, both recovering their strength and looking for investment firms for financing to prepare for the next big battle.

Just then, Starlight, which everyone had forgotten, made its move!

Thursday, Sunset Company

Dong Changhai, Sun Zhenfeng, and a group of executives were holding a meeting in the conference room to discuss the financing amount and which investment firm to prioritize.

The secretary rushed in, ignoring the big bosses, leaned over to the Chairman's ear, and whispered the discovered news.

Sun Zhenfeng's brow furrowed deeper as he listened, a bad premonition rising in his heart. He stood up and said:

"You all continue the discussion. I need to step out for a moment."

After speaking, he hurriedly left the conference room with the secretary, asking as he walked:

"How many of them are there in total? Is Silver Star behind this?"

The secretary followed quickly, wiping sweat from his forehead, and said hesitantly:

"It shouldn't be Silver Star. They don't have much connection with Luocheng University; after all, their base is in Hangzhou City. The number..."

Sun Zhenfeng irritably rubbed his bald head and growled in a low voice:

"How many? Just say it! It can't be more than fifty percent, can it?"

The secretary flipped the documents to the page with the numbers and handed it to the Chairman for him to see for himself, truly not daring to say it out loud.

Sun Zhenfeng quickly grabbed the document. As he looked closely at the numbers, his vision went dark, and he collapsed to the floor, nearly fainting.

"Who is it?!!!"
