125: Chapter 125 Little Red Dress, This Factory Will Take Your Name From Now On

The operational efficiency of the Arsenal shocked everyone.

As soon as the first batch of equipment came off the assembly line, Lin Chen directly ordered it to be prioritized for the unit of Ghost Soldiers reorganized by Lei Xiao, as well as the "Special Operations Team" under Zhang Hao's command responsible for intelligence and internal surveillance. Upon receiving the new equipment, the resonance between the Ghost Soldiers' soul bodies and the formations on the standard soul armor was instantaneous. Their auras visibly solidified and became significantly sharper! The war sabers in their hands gleamed with a cold light, as if thirsting to drink blood and devour souls.

With the Arsenal running at full capacity, the entire legion's morale and combat effectiveness skyrocketed like a rocket!

Zhang Hao circled the Arsenal several times, clicking his tongue in amazement. "Boss, this efficiency, this quality! In the future, when we go out to fight, we can crush those bastards just with our equipment!"

Lin Chen didn't have time for his flattery; he was checking the Arsenal's detailed data stream. However, as he retrieved the core logs, a record marked as [Low Priority Anomaly] caught his attention.

The record showed that at 7 minutes and 32 seconds after the Arsenal started, the Core Artifact Spirit (Little Red Clothes) had briefly accessed an unauthorized database sub-partition, triggering the underlying defense mechanism. However, no substantial operations were performed, and the access was immediately recorded and terminated.

An unauthorized database? Lin Chen's brows twitched slightly. Were there corners in this built-in system that even he didn't know about?

He immediately pulled up the surveillance footage from that time (the Arsenal came with full-spectrum Eye of the Netherworld surveillance).

In the footage, Little Red Clothes was floating around the massive production lines like a child with a new toy, curiously touching a mechanical arm here and an energy furnace there. Suddenly, she stopped in front of the main control console, watching the complex data and blueprints flowing across it. Her pale grey fingers unconsciously swiped across an inconspicuous corner.

That single swipe seemed to trigger a hidden switch.

On one side of the main screen, a crimson interface with constantly twisting and squirming edges suddenly popped up! It was labeled in a distorted font that looked like it was made of blood vessels—[Forbidden Blueprint Repository (Insufficient Permissions)]. Below it was a single, flickering icon: [Flesh Golem (Prototype)]!

Below the icon was a line of small text: [Warning: Involves Source Creation and Soul Stitching; exists a high risk of loss of control and unpredictable ethical paradoxes. Requires maximum authority from the 'Lord of the Underworld' or 'Artifact Spirit' to unlock preview.]

Little Red Clothes' bleeding white eyes were instantly captivated by the rotating blueprint of that horrific creation, a twisted stitch-up of countless flesh and mechanical remains. She tilted her head, watching with such focus that even the doll in her arms stopped swinging.

A few seconds later, she actually... stuck out her pale grey little tongue and licked her bloodless lips! A bizarre "smile," a mix of innocence and greed, appeared on her face!

Then, she tried to use her ghostly energy to touch the "Unlock Preview" option.

The moment she touched it, the surveillance screen exploded into static. A piercing alarm sounded within the Arsenal's core (though it was isolated internally), and a thick layer of black energy composed of pure Netherworld Rules instantly covered the crimson interface, forcibly closing and hiding it.

The access was forcibly terminated.

Seeing this, Lin Chen's eyes narrowed. Forbidden blueprints? Source Creation? Soul Stitching?

Instead of being angry, a trace of an interested curve appeared at the corner of his mouth.

Interesting. There really are quite a few "Easter eggs" hidden in this system.

He didn't immediately delve into the Forbidden Blueprint Repository. Instead, he closed the surveillance and took a step forward. The next second, he appeared inside the Arsenal, right behind Little Red Clothes.

Little Red Clothes seemed still immersed in the shock and temptation of that blueprint. Holding her doll, she stared blankly at the main screen, which had returned to normal. Sensing Lin Chen's aura, she shuddered violently. Like a child caught doing something wrong, she zipped behind a massive forging machine, only poking out half a head and a pair of bleeding eyes to look at Lin Chen timidly.

"Come out," Lin Chen said flatly.

Little Red Clothes hesitated for a moment but still obediently floated out, her head lowered and her small hands anxiously twisting the doll's arm.

"You like that one?" Lin Chen pointed at the main screen.

Little Red Clothes' body stiffened. She looked up, a flash of longing in her pale eyes, but more so the dread of being punished. The doll in her arms also hung its head.

Seeing her like this, Lin Chen suddenly laughed. He reached out—not to punish, but to gently rub Little Red Clothes' hair, which felt like withered grass (cold and ethereal to the touch).

"Liking things is a good thing."

Little Red Clothes was stunned, looking at him blankly.

"Only with desire and ideas will you want to create and become stronger," Lin Chen said in a guiding tone. "I gave this Arsenal to you not just to be a puppet who pushes buttons."

He pointed to the roaring machines, the flowing molten metal, and the flickering runes around them. "Everything here is your tool, your toy. As long as you can guarantee the basic production tasks, for the rest of the time, whatever you want to research or tinker with..."

He paused, looking into Little Red Clothes' eyes as they gradually lit up, and said word for word:

"Do... as... you... please."

"As long as you don't blow up the factory or cause some massive disaster, I'll have your back."

These words were like a decree of amnesty and the most insane encouragement!

Little Red Clothes' bleeding eyes instantly erupted with an unprecedented light! It was a wild joy from being understood, recognized, and granted infinite possibilities!

She was no longer afraid. She lunged forward and hugged Lin Chen's leg (though she only caught air, the sentiment was there). Looking up with her small face, she spoke in an unprecedented, raw, yet incredibly firm tone, stumbling through the words:

"Thank... you... Boss!"

This time, it wasn't bones forming words, but a real sound coming from her throat (if a ghost had one)!

The doll in her arms also looked up, its button eyes seemingly shimmering with excitement.

Lin Chen nodded with satisfaction. What he wanted was not an obedient tool, but a "Chief Engineer" who could constantly bring "surprises." A little risk? In the face of absolute strength and capital, it was an acceptable cost.

"However," Lin Chen's tone shifted as he pointed to the main screen, "don't touch that red thing for now. Once you've mastered these basic things, I will personally take you to see it."

He needed time to first figure out the background of that "Forbidden Blueprint Repository" and assess the risks.

Little Red Clothes nodded vigorously to show she understood. Although she couldn't immediately research the thing that attracted her most, the boss's promise and hands-off approach had already made her heart content.

Just then, in a corner of the Arsenal, a timid soul shadow responsible for carrying low-level Soul Crystal materials caught Lin Chen's attention.

It was Lin Chen's Mother.

She had also come to the Arsenal at some point and was working hard to move dim Soul Crystals to the designated material storage area. Her soul body was still weak and her movements were slow, but her eyes were exceptionally focused and serious, as if she were completing a sacred mission.

She was using her meager strength to work hard for those distant "contribution points."

Su Qingyu stood not far away, quietly watching her mother's busy and humble figure, her eyes complex and her lips slightly pursed. She had just finished drafting the preliminary rules for contribution points, which included many relatively safe tasks suitable for low-level soul bodies. Her mother had clearly seen the task list she had published.

Lin Chen saw all of this but did not interfere. He turned and prepared to leave the Arsenal.

With this super factory constantly producing equipment, he had even more confidence for the next step: taking the initiative to clear out the remaining Thousand Faces Cult outposts within the Netherworld territory.

(Hook: Just as Lin Chen was about to step out of the Arsenal's gate, the system interface suddenly popped up in his mind. An emergency warning from the [Tombstone Guardian Inheritance Repository] flashed violently, accompanied by a blurred star map! The message contained only a brief sentence: [Warning! Detected an abnormal surge in energy reaction at the "Wailing Canyon" outpost! Spatial coordinates are experiencing severe disturbance! Suspected... trap activation! Or... some entity is being forcibly summoned!])
