344: Chapter 344 Master and Disciple Confrontation! Lin Chen's Capital Rules VS Lin Xiao's Capital Rules
As the teleportation light dissipated, Lin Chen stood in a crumbling starry sky.
This was the core area of the Tenth Dimension.
The scene before him made even Lin Chen, who had seen his fair share of grand spectacles, frown slightly—countless stars were collapsing at a speed visible to the naked eye. As each star collapsed, it released a blinding light that illuminated the disintegrating planetary debris around it. Further away, entire star fields were being devoured by darkness; this darkness was not ordinary black, but a void from which even light could not escape.
In the center of this collapsing starry sky, a translucent figure was floating.
Lin Xiao.
He had his back to Lin Chen, his hands spread wide, with golden light constantly pouring from his palms. That light shot towards the collapsing stars all around, and wherever it reached, the speed of the collapse would slow down slightly. But that light was too weak; compared to the collapse of the entire dimension, it was a mere drop in the bucket.
Lin Chen slowly approached.
As the distance shortened, he saw Lin Xiao's condition clearly.
This once high-spirited young man was now unrecognizable. His hair was completely white, his skin was covered in wrinkles, and his body from the waist down was already completely transparent, allowing one to see the crumbling starry sky behind him through his body. His eyes were hollow and lifeless, and the depths of his pupils did not reflect the scene before him, but something distant.
"Lin Xiao."
Lin Chen spoke, his voice not loud, yet it clearly reached the other's ears.
The translucent figure trembled slightly.
He slowly turned around, his hollow pupils focusing on Lin Chen's face.
Three seconds later, he smiled.
That smile was exactly the same as it had been three years ago—young, stubborn, and carrying a hint of restlessness.
"Senior Lin Chen."
His voice was hoarse, as if he had exhausted all his strength.
"You've come."
Lin Chen looked at him and was silent for a second.
"I'm here to take you back."
Lin Xiao shook his head.
"I can't go back."
He raised his hand and pointed to the crumbling starry sky around them.
"Look, this place is almost finished. If I don't hold it up, they would have been gone long ago."
Lin Chen looked at his palms, from which golden light was continuously pouring.
"You're using Capital Law to hold it up?"
Lin Xiao nodded.
"Yes. Every time I repair an area, I have to pay the corresponding price. Vitality, memories, emotions... I've almost paid it all."
He looked down at his translucent body.
"In three more days, I will completely disappear. By then, the Capital Law within me will go out of control and instantly devour the entire Tenth Dimension."
He looked up at Lin Chen.
"So, Senior, you should go. Don't worry about me anymore."
Lin Chen was silent.
Three seconds later, he smiled.
That smile left Lin Xiao stunned—he had expected his senior to be sad, angry, or try to persuade him, but he hadn't expected him to smile.
"What are you laughing at?" Lin Xiao asked.
Lin Chen looked at him.
"Laughing at how foolish you are."
Lin Xiao was stunned.
Lin Chen continued:
"You've been holding it up alone for three years, holding on until you're nearly dead. Have you ever thought about finding a helper?"
Lin Xiao shook his head.
"A helper? Who could help me? The entire Tenth Dimension is collapsing; no one can help me."
Lin Chen pointed to himself.
"Me."
Lin Xiao was silent.
Lin Chen continued:
"You are using Capital Law, and I am also using Capital Law. You can't hold it up alone, but what about two people?"
Lin Xiao's eyes brightened for a moment, then dimmed again.
"Senior, you don't know how hard this is. I've held on for three years, exhausting all my vitality. Even if you join, we can only hold on for a few more days. In a few days, we'll both die together."
Lin Chen smiled.
"Who said anything about just toughing it out?"
Lin Xiao was stunned.
Lin Chen opened the system and pulled up a file.
The file's title was: "Tenth Dimension Asset Restructuring Plan"
Lin Xiao looked at the file, his eyes widening like copper bells.
"Asset restructuring?"
Lin Chen nodded.
"Yes. Your current state is treating yourself as the only 'labor force,' carrying the reconstruction of the entire dimension alone. This is the stupidest method."
He pointed to the first item in the file: "First, establish the 'Tenth Dimension Reconstruction Fund.' Issue bonds to all dimensions and raise funds."
Lin Xiao was stunned.
"Raise funds? Will other dimensions buy them?"
Lin Chen looked at him.
"Why wouldn't they? If the Tenth Dimension collapses, the Void Erosion will spread to the Ninth Dimension, the Eighth Dimension, and eventually all dimensions. When they buy the bonds, they are buying their own lives."
Lin Xiao was thoughtful.
Lin Chen continued pointing to the second item: "Second, divide the damaged areas into 'repairable' and 'unrepairable' categories. Invest resources to rebuild the repairable ones. Package the unrepairable ones into 'non-performing asset packages' and sell them to investment institutions willing to take them on."
Lin Xiao's eyes widened.
"Non-performing asset packages? Can these be sold too?"
Lin Chen nodded.
"Yes. As long as the price is low enough, there will always be someone willing to take a gamble."
Lin Xiao was silent.
Three seconds later, he asked: "Then what about me? I'm already almost transparent."
Lin Chen looked at him.
"You? You are the Tenth Dimension's greatest asset."
Lin Xiao was stunned.
"What do you mean?"
Lin Chen opened the third item: "Third, split the Capital Law within you into 'shares' and offer them for sale to all dimensions. Investors who purchase shares will enjoy dividend rights on all your future earnings."
"With these funds, you can hire more helpers, purchase more resources, and repair the dimension at a faster speed."
"You will no longer be fighting alone. You are the Chairman and CEO of The Group for Tenth Dimension Reconstruction."
Lin Xiao was completely dumbfounded.
He opened his mouth, but couldn't say anything.
Lin Chen patted his shoulder.
"Remember, the core of Capital Law is not one person carrying the load, but letting everyone carry it together."
"You've held on alone for three years, which is remarkable. But if you had learned this earlier, the reconstruction would have been finished long ago."
Lin Xiao was silent for a long time.
So long that three more stars around them collapsed.
Then he smiled.
That smile was exactly the same as it had been three years ago—young, stubborn, and carrying a hint of restlessness.
"Senior, you've taught me another lesson."
Lin Chen waved his hand.
"Cut the chatter. Now, sign the contract."
He opened a golden contract and projected it in front of Lin Xiao.
The contract's title was: "Tenth Dimension Reconstruction Group Establishment Agreement"
[Party A: Lin Xiao (Capital Law Holder)]
[Party B: Lin Chen (Capital Law Holder)]
[Party C: Arrogant Dragon, Morgana, Alpha, Flame Demon, Zhang Hao (Special Consultants)]
[Group Name: Tenth Dimension Reconstruction Group]
[Initial Registered Capital: 3 Jing dimension points (Subscribed by Party B and Party C)]
[Party A's Responsibilities: Provide core authority of Capital Law]
[Party B's Responsibilities: Provide strategic guidance and external resources]
[Party C's Responsibilities: Perform respective duties, assist with reconstruction]
Lin Xiao looked at the contract, his eyes feeling a bit warm.
He raised his hand and signed his name.
A golden light flashed, and the contract took effect.
The next second, Lin Chen opened the communication channel, connecting to all channels simultaneously.
"Everyone, the Tenth Dimension Reconstruction Group is officially established. Now, issuing the first phase of reconstruction bonds—"
Before he could finish his sentence, a system prompt suddenly popped up: [Abnormal energy fluctuation detected! Source: Core area of Void Erosion! Target: Moving towards current coordinates!]
Lin Chen looked up.
In the distance, within that darkest void, something was slowly rising.
That thing was larger than a star, blacker than darkness, and emptier than the void.
Its shape was constantly changing; at times it looked like a giant eye, at times like a twisted mouth, and at other times it transformed into countless hands reaching into the void.
It drifted slowly toward the direction where Lin Chen and Lin Xiao were.
Lin Xiao's face turned pale instantly.
"Senior, that is..."
Lin Chen narrowed his eyes.
"What is it?"
Lin Xiao's voice was trembling: "It's the main body of the Void Erosion."
"It... has come alive."
