298: Chapter 298 The Frozen Throne Collapses! The End of the Three Million-Year-Old Supreme

Three minutes after the hand of formatting came to a halt, Lin Chen teleported to the Icebound Star Domain with Arrogant Dragon and Zhang Hao.

The scene before them silenced everyone.

The icebound throne had completely collapsed, with countless fragments floating in the air, each emitting a faint ice-blue light. Those lights, like fireflies, drifted slowly through the void, eventually converging into a massive ball of light.

In the center of the ball of light floated a crystal the size of a palm.

The crystal was crystal clear, emitting a bone-chilling cold. Its surface constantly changed patterns—sometimes showing the full view of the icebound throne, sometimes Morgana's youthful appearance, and sometimes a microcosm of the countless civilizations in the Icebound Star Domain.

"That is..." Zhang Hao asked in a low voice.

"The inheritance fragment of the Frost Law," Lin Chen said.

He walked to the ball of light and reached out to take the crystal.

The moment his fingers touched the crystal, a bone-chilling cold spread through his arm to his entire body. Lin Chen did not shrink back, but quietly watched the lines of text appearing on the surface of the crystal.

Those words were left by Morgana.

「Lin Chen, if you are seeing this, it means I am no longer here.」

「Sealed within this inheritance fragment are my memories and power from three million years. I originally wanted to leave it to you as a memento, but on second thought, you're a businessman; holding onto the Frost Law would be useless to you.」

「So, leave it for someone who needs it.」

「If one day you meet my reincarnation—the one who has lost all power and is left with only vague memories—please return this to her.」

「Tell her she was once the Frost Supreme.」

「Tell her she didn't disgrace me.」

「Tell her... thank you.」

The text vanished.

The crystal floated up from Lin Chen's hand and slowly flew towards the depths of the Icebound Star Domain.

Lin Chen did not give chase.

He just stood there, watching the crystal fly further and further away, finally disappearing into the vast ice fields.

Arrogant Dragon walked over and asked softly, "Boss, aren't we going after it?"

Lin Chen shook his head.

"She said to leave it for someone who needs it. Then I shouldn't be the one to take it."

Zhang Hao scratched his head beside him. "But Boss, what if someone else picks it up?"

Lin Chen smiled.

There was no mockery in that smile, only an indescribable complexity.

"The Frost Law will choose its own master. If someone else can just pick it up, then they aren't the person Morgana wanted."

The three of them stood before the ruins of the icebound throne, silent for a long time.

In the distance, survivors of the Icebound Star Domain began to emerge from their shelters. They looked up at the sky, at that ice-blue crack, and at the floating fragments of the throne, their eyes filled with bewilderment.

Someone recognized Lin Chen.

"It's Lin Chen! It's the Lord of Capital who saved us!"

"Lord Lin Chen! Where is the Frost Supreme? Where did she go?"

"Frost Supreme!"

More and more survivors crowded around, asking the same question all at once.

Lin Chen looked at them and was silent for three seconds.

Then he said:

"She's gone."

"Where did she go?"

"To freeze that hand that wanted to destroy us."

The survivors looked up at the ice-blue crack in the sky.

The crack was still glowing.

That was the mark Morgana had left with her life.

Someone began to cry.

Someone knelt down and kowtowed toward the crack.

More people stood silently, looking up at the crack without saying a word.

Zhang Hao said softly, "Boss, they seem to be... mourning her."

Lin Chen nodded.

He did not disturb the survivors, but simply stood at the edge of the crowd, looking at the crack.

Three hours later, the crack began to fade.

The ice-blue light gradually dissipated, revealing the grayish-white sky behind it. The hand of formatting had disappeared, and the intensity of the Zeroing Storm had also weakened significantly.

"The diversion service is still effective," Arrogant Dragon said. "The storm has been led away."

Lin Chen nodded.

He took one last look at the crack that was about to dissipate and turned to leave.

"Let's go."

"Where to?"

"Back to the Dead Silence Star Domain. There's still a tough battle to fight."

The three of them teleported away.

After they left, the survivors of the Icebound Star Domain remained where they were, looking up at the sky.

Someone suddenly shouted:

"Frost Supreme! Have a safe journey!"

Others began to shout as well.

The voices grew louder and more unified, eventually merging into a single roar that made the ice fields tremble.

And that crack slowly dissipated amidst the voices.

Before completely disappearing, it flickered one last time.

The light was very faint.

But everyone saw it.

It was as if Morgana was saying:

"I heard you."

Three days later.

Lin Chen was organizing data under the tree of heavenly dao when he suddenly received an emergency transmission from the Icebound Star Domain.

Sender: Icebound Star Domain Survivor Council.

Content:

「Lord Lin Chen! Over at the ruins of the icebound throne... a person has appeared!」

Lin Chen raised an eyebrow. "What kind of person?"

The voice on the other end of the transmission was trembling:

"A... a young girl who crawled out from the ice."

"She said her name is Morgana."

"But she doesn't remember anything."

Lin Chen stood up abruptly.

Arrogant Dragon and Zhang Hao both looked at him.

"Boss, what's wrong?"

Lin Chen didn't answer.

He just looked at the transmission, silent for three seconds.

Then he smiled.

There was relief, gratification, and a little bit of... luck in that smile.

"Arrogant Dragon, Zhang Hao."

"Here!"

Prepare to teleport. To the Icebound Star Domain.

To see an old friend.
