122: Absolute silence, the origin of sound

Leaving the bizarre and colorful dream mountain range, Yun Feng's consciousness traversed the level of Law, heading toward his next target—the "Absolute Silence Star Domain." As he drew closer, a strange "sense of depletion" began to spread. It was not a depletion of energy or matter, but a complete absence of some fundamental Law.

When he truly arrived at the edge of this Star Domain, the sight before him was shocking.

It was a region of absolute, pure "nothingness." It was not the Void Realm, which still contained energy particles and spatial fluctuations. Here, even the most basic photons and quantum fluctuations had completely vanished; the spatial structure was appallingly stable, and time was nearly frozen. Even more bizarrely, the physical foundation and Law definition for the existence of "sound" were missing! This was a Domain where the concept of sound had been forcibly "deleted" from the Laws of the Universe!

Any tangible or intangible entity entering this place, its self-generated vibrations would be instantly absorbed and annihilated by the Star Domain's absolute "Silence Law," returning to complete "soundlessness." Even transmission via Divine Sense or Soul resonance was meaningless here. This was the grave of information, the end point of communication.

On the Law map, the light spot representing the fourth source core fragment was located in the deepest part of this absolute silence.

Yun Feng attempted to probe it with a wisp of Divine Sense. The moment that wisp of Divine Sense entered the Silence Domain, it lost all connection with him. It wasn't blocked; rather, the "information" constituting the Divine Sense fluctuation itself was erased by the Silence Law.

"Quite interesting." Instead of finding it difficult, Yun Feng's eyes revealed deep interest. This absolute deprivation of fundamental Law was itself a manifestation of an extremely high level of power.

These ripples were not physical energy, but the concept of "sound" itself! Wherever they passed, the absolute silence melted away like snow, forcibly imbued with the attributes of being "vibratable" and "wave-transmissible"!

An extremely faint hum, yet sounding like the first noise since the creation of the heavens and earth, originated from Yun Feng's fingertip. As the Law ripples spread, it stubbornly propagated through this Star Domain that had been dead silent for countless epochs!

The sound was not loud, but it represented the victory of a Law, a declaration of "existence" over "deprivation"!

Yun Feng took a step and entered the area whose Laws he had redefined. Wherever he passed, the silence receded. He walked step by step toward the deepest part of the Star Domain. There, a source core fragment, entirely jet black and seemingly capable of absorbing all light and fluctuation, floated quietly. It was the source that caused this area of absolute silence—a fragment containing the "annihilation information," or rather, the Origin of "silence"!

Sensing the "Law of Sound" brought by Yun Feng, which was completely opposite to its own attributes, the black fragment trembled slightly, emitting waves of resistance, attempting to once again trigger the Silence Law to annihilate this "noisy" intruder.

However, the Laws of this area had now been partially rewritten by Yun Feng! "Sound" already existed and was subject to his Dominance!

Finally, it transformed into a streak of black light and voluntarily flew into Yun Feng's palm, resting quietly alongside the other three fragments. The jet-black sheen on it also became much more restrained, no longer emitting that aura of absolute annihilation.

The fourth source core fragment was acquired!

And just as Yun Feng completed the Fusion of this Silence Fragment, achieving a fundamental elevation in his understanding of information and fluctuation Laws, he keenly captured a trace of extremely obscure, decaying imprint hidden deep within the residual, most fundamental Silence Law of this newly "audible" Star Domain. This imprint was of the same Origin as the Guiji Cult, yet older and closer to the true meaning of "the end"!

This imprint seemed like a coordinate, and yet also like... the eye of a monitor.

Yun Feng's gaze chilled, but he did not immediately erase it. He carefully sensed the composition of the imprint and the direction of its connection, and his heart already understood.

"It seems the process of collecting the source core fragments is itself being watched by them... That's fine, it saves me the trouble of searching slowly."

He noted the direction to which the imprint connected; that would be one of the stages for the final confrontation.

Without lingering, Yun Feng turned, took a step, and his figure merged into the Law, moving toward his next objective. His accumulation grew deeper, and he was getting closer to the final Chaos Perfection.

Meanwhile, in the darkness of the Endless Void Sea, the shadow named "the great silence" seemed to accelerate certain steps due to his consecutive collection of source core fragments.
