159: The stubbornness of technological civilization and the physical interpretation of "the greatest truths are the simplest".

When many cultivation civilizations were wavering and groping between "deliberately seeking simplicity" and "focusing on duty," a completely different civilization system entered the view of Cloud Court due to its unique "stubbornness."

This was a purely technological civilization named the "Logic Federation." They did not cultivate Divine Soul, nor did they practice magic power. Relying on the ultimate exploration of material rules and rigorous logical deduction, they developed highly advanced technology, with territory spanning several galaxies, and were even able to interfere with the space-time structure to a certain extent. They believed that "all things can be quantified, and everything has logic."

The rise of Cloud Court, and the "Order-ization" wave it triggered, naturally attracted the attention of the Logic Federation's Supreme Academy of Sciences. For this phenomenon, which involved "rule definition" and "high-dimensional information" and could not be fully explained by existing physical models, the Academy listed it as a "Special Research Project," codenamed "GOD-001" (Generalized Orderliness Definition Source - 001).

Unlike other civilizations that either yearned for or imitated it, the Logic Federation adopted the method they were best at—analyzing, deconstructing, and attempting to reproduce it.

An investigation team composed of the Federation's top scientists, riding the most advanced research ship, the "Logic Ark," arrived at the periphery of Cloud Court. They did not queue up at the communication center like other forces but chose a relatively remote Void Realm coordinate and began to set up various dazzling detection equipment.

A huge ring-shaped particle collider unfolded in the Void Realm, attempting to capture the basic particles that constitute "Dao Rhyme";

The hyper-dimensional information receiving array operated at full capacity, parsing the invisible rule fluctuations on the periphery of Cloud Court;

There was even a device named "Karma Perturbation Detector," cautiously attempting to inject small "logic injections" into local rules and observing the feedback.

Their actions quickly attracted the attention of the administrators on the periphery of Cloud Court. Long Qianyuan looked at those metal-textured, coldly glowing creations in the monitoring screen, as well as those scientists in white coats recording data with serious faces, and felt the style was quite unique.

"What are these iron shells up to now?" Long Qianyuan rubbed his chin with interest, "They look much more interesting than those copycats."

He did not drive them away immediately; instead, he wanted to see what tricks these "science students" could come up with.

The scientists of the Logic Federation worked tirelessly. They collected a large amount of environmental data, recorded countless energy fluctuation patterns, and even successfully captured some scattered, low-concentration Chaos Qi Flow samples.

However, as the research deepened, they encountered unprecedented difficulties.

When all the collected data was modeled and analyzed in the Federation's superbrain, it presented a strange state of "logical inconsistency." The particles constituting the Chaos Qi Flow could not be classified into any known particle model; their behavior was both wave-like and particle-like, and damn it, they were also like a stream of conscious information; the mathematical expressions of those rule fluctuations were despairingly complex and full of incomprehensible "subjective definition" parameters, as if these rules had been "stipulated" as such by some will, rather than formed by natural evolution.

What made them even more collapsed was the failure of the "Karma Perturbation Experiment." When they tried to use the instrument to inject a logical instruction of "increase the density of iron elements here by one ten-thousandth" into an area, the instrument fed back that the instruction had been successfully loaded, but the actual detection results showed that the iron element density in that area didn't change one bit! Instead, the instrument's own logic core almost burned out because it encountered feedback it couldn't understand!

The chief scientist, an old man with gray hair and sharp eyes (maintaining a Peak state through genetic technology), named "Logos Li" (it was a mere coincidence that he shared the same name as the System Manufacturers' Logos), frowned deeply as he looked at the dense error information and logical paradoxes on the light screen.

"Incomprehensible... The physical rules in the GOD-001 area seem to possess... 'immunity' and 'absoluteness'?" He muttered to himself, "Our science is built on the foundation of being observable, repeatable, and quantifiable. But the rules here seem to be... 'alive.' It refuses to be fully quantified and can even actively 'correct' external logical interference?"

This conclusion was undoubtedly subversive for the Federation scientists who firmly believed that "logic is supreme."

Just as the investigation team was in a deadlock and even began to doubt their scientific life, Long Qianyuan felt that the time was ripe, and it was his turn to appear.

He flew leisurely to the vicinity of the "Logic Ark" and knocked on the thick alloy shell (using fingers wrapped in Chaos Qi to avoid hurting his hand).

"Hey, friends inside, have you made any research achievements? I've watched you busy for a long time."

Logos Li saw Long Qianyuan through the external monitor, especially feeling the opponent's aura that was integrated with the surrounding environment yet unfathomable, and immediately realized that this might be the key individual of "GOD-001." He hurriedly ordered the hatch to be opened and greeted him personally.

"Respected unknown existence, I am Logos Li, Chief Scientist of the Logic Federation. We are conducting a scientific survey of your territory, hoping to understand the physical basis of the order rules here." Dr. Li maintained a scientist's rigor and politeness.

Long Qianyuan walked into the bridge full of futuristic technological sense, curiously touching things here and there, and said casually: "Physical basis? You want to take us apart into parts to figure it out, right? Good idea, but you've taken the wrong path."

Dr. Li's spirit lifted: "Please enlighten me!"

Long Qianyuan sat down on a chair that looked like a main console (the chair made an unbearable alarm sound, which he ignored) and crossed his legs: "Let me ask you, what are you building this big ship for?"

"To explore the unknown and expand the territory and understanding boundaries of civilization." Dr. Li answered without hesitation.

"And then what, after you've explored it clearly?"

"Use the knowledge mastered to transform the environment and let civilization survive and develop better."

"And then?"

"Then... continue to explore deeper unknowns." Dr. Li felt this question was a bit circular.

Long Qianyuan laughed: "Look, after going around in a circle, it's still for 'survival and development' and seeking 'peace of mind.' It's essentially no different from us here."

Dr. Li frowned: "But the technology, knowledge, and understanding of the Universe in this process..."

"Those are tools, they are processes, not the purpose." Long Qianyuan interrupted him and pointed to the direction of Cloud Court outside the window, "We here are relatively lazy, skipping the flashy processes in the middle and going straight to the final goal. So our rules here are simple, just two words—'Peace of Mind.' Everyone can stay here with peace of mind, without having to think about how to dismantle others or prevent being dismantled by others all day long, and without having to rack their brains to understand those complex rules that can never be fully understood, which is so much easier."

He looked at the expressions of Dr. Li and the surrounding scientists saying "this is too unscientific" and decided to change to a statement they might understand.

He casually picked up a multi-dimensional geometric model with an extremely complex structure (representing a cutting-edge theory of the Federation) used for demonstration on the console and weighed it in his hand.

"You guys are like insisting on calculating every angle and every parameter of this model clearly, thinking that only then can you master it and use it."

As he spoke, he applied a little force with his five fingers.

The precise model made of special alloy was casually kneaded into a... sphere in his hand like plasticine.

"And we think this thing is essentially a ball. It looks pleasing to the eye when kneaded round, and it's handy to use, so that's it. As for how many faces and edges it originally had, none of my business?"

Long Qianyuan threw the ball to the dumbfounded Dr. Li.

"The Dao is Simple, understand? It's not that the rules themselves are simple, but that we 'define' them simply. You find it complex because you always want to stand 'within the rules' to understand them. Why not try standing 'above the rules' and telling it what it should look like directly?"

These words exploded in the minds of all the scientists of the Logic Federation like a thunderclap!

Standing above the rules? Defining rules?

This completely violated the scientific paradigm in their cognition! But... thinking of the previously unparseable data, those logical paradoxes, the phenomenon of immunity to Karma perturbation... it seems that only this rebellious explanation can make sense?

Dr. Li held the model that had been kneaded into a sphere, which once represented his painstaking theory, and his hands trembled slightly. He felt his worldview collapsing, but he saw a glimpse of unprecedented, broader possibilities in the ruins.

"...Definition... Authority..." He muttered, his eyes flashing with the unique light of a scientist, mixed with confusion and excitement, "This... is this a kind of... 'applied science' of a higher dimension that transcends the current scientific paradigm?"

Long Qianyuan shrugged: "You can call it whatever you want. Anyway, stop thinking about dismantling and analyzing, isn't it tiring? If it looks pleasing to the eye, learn from it; if it doesn't look pleasing, define one that is pleasing yourself. How simple."

He patted his butt and stood up: "Alright, the visit is over. You guys think about it slowly, remember to clean up the site when you leave, don't litter scientific trash."

After speaking, he flew away leisurely, leaving a group of scientists from the Logic Federation in place, falling into a long, subversive contemplation.

Not long after, the "Logic Ark" quietly left the periphery of Cloud Court. They did not take away any material samples, but they took away a crazy conjecture about "rule definition power" and "subjective physics" that was enough to shock the entire Federation scientific community.

And Cloud Court gained another legend about "the terrifying existence who kneads scientific models like plasticine."

In the Star Gazing Hall, Yun Feng felt the departure of the Logic Federation and shook his head slightly.

"Why know the reason, when you already know the result? Abandoning the essence to pursue the trivial only adds trouble."

He scattered a handful of fish food and watched the koi scramble for it.

"Fish are still the most carefree."
