168: Visitor permissions and the "YunTing Hot Search List"
The news of the Logic Federation successfully connecting to the "visitor network" was like pouring a ladle of cold water into a boiling oil pot, causing an uproar among the power circles attached to the Cloud Court. Envy, jealousy, curiosity, urgency... a mix of emotions made the already turbulent periphery of the Cloud Court even livelier.
However, when various Holy Lands and Great Worlds, harboring different intentions, tried to obtain a "visitor account" by applying through the "Eye of Logic" or directly to the Cloud Court, they were met with a cold shoulder.
Long Qianyuan's response to this was blunt: "visitor network? That's something the Logic Federation cooked up themselves, it has nothing to do with our official Cloud Court. Want it? Go research it yourselves! We don't provide account opening services here, and don't even think about using backdoors. My Revered Master hates special privileges the most!"
One sentence extinguished all thoughts of trying to "take a shortcut."
The Holy Land Leaders looked at each other, and ultimately could only turn their gaze back to the "Eye of Logic," constructed from cold technology. For a time, the Logic Federation's scientists became highly sought-after, with various veiled visits, exchanges, and cooperation requests flying in like snowflakes, each offering more enticing conditions than the last.
But the Logic Federation maintained a high degree of vigilance and caution. They deeply understood that this hard-won "visitor access" was the result of their countless efforts and fortunate coincidences, and even more, it was a key advantage for their future development. They could share some basic observational data that did not involve the core protocol principles (after all, this data might not be directly understood by cultivation civilizations), but the specific content of the "Basic dao rhyme access protocol V1.0" was classified as top secret, strictly guarded.
Dr. Li even personally formulated the "visitor network Information Security Management Regulations," strictly prohibiting any actions that might leak protocol details or cause interference to the Cloud Court. The Federation scientists, like dragons guarding rare treasures, meticulously maintained this unique "network cable."
And the benefits brought by this "network cable" soon became apparent.
Through the "visitor network," the Logic Federation could obtain extremely precise environmental data from the periphery of the Cloud Court in real-time. They discovered that the flow of cloud court dao rhyme was not entirely uniform; there were also "tidal" fluctuations. At certain specific times and in specific areas, the Dao Rhyme would be exceptionally rich and active, while at other times it would be relatively calm.
They cross-analyzed this data with the activity of the Artifact Spirit Collective and information gleaned from the Holy Lands, and were actually able to roughly predict certain "favorable cultivation" window periods!
Even more surprising to them was that the information flow received by the "visitor network" occasionally contained some extremely faint "fragmented information" that was not environmental data. After being decoded by the protocol, most of this information consisted of short phrases of unclear meaning, incomplete images, or some kind of emotional fluctuation.
Initially, the Federation scientists were puzzled, until one time, they captured a relatively clear piece of fragmented information, which, after decoding, turned out to be: "...Golden...bubble...pretty...want to eat..."
Immediately afterward, monitoring data showed a small peak in the Dao Rhyme fluctuations in the Cloud Court pond area.
The scientists had a flash of insight and immediately mobilized resources to strengthen the capture and analysis of such "non-environmental information." They gradually discovered that these fragmented messages seemed to be related to some "daily activities" within the Cloud Court! For example, the mood changes of that Golden Koi, where Director Long Qianyuan went for a stroll again, and even... the faint traces of information inadvertently recorded by the rules, contained in Court Master Yun Feng's occasional glance towards a certain spot in the Void Realm!
The Logic Federation's scientists, with great imagination, began to try and use these fragmented "non-environmental information," combined with environmental data, to internally construct an extremely rudimentary... "Cloud Court Hotspot Dynamic Trend Map"!
They gave this internal project a codename—"Temple Hot List."
Of course, this "hot list" was extremely crude, full of speculation and uncertainty. The "hot spots" on the list might only be vague information such as "suspected increase in Golden Koi bubble-spitting frequency today," "Director Long Qianyuan's energy fluctuations detected in XXX Star Domain, suspected to be out," or "Court Master's gaze briefly lingered in the direction of the ancient graveyard."
But even so, this "hot list" became an important reference that the Logic Federation's highest decision-making body had to consult daily! They tried to analyze the Cloud Court's "tendencies" from it; even a slight hint could have a profound impact on the Federation's future.
For example, when the "hot list" showed "Court Master's gaze repeatedly cast towards the Artifact Spirit Collective," the Federation would increase its investment in Spirit Artifact research; when it showed "Director Long Qianyuan expressed satisfaction with the dried meat tribute from a certain Holy Land," the Federation would immediately find ways to establish closer "specialty trade" relations with that Holy Land... This act of " Massage" (trying to figure out what the superiors want), though seemingly comical, genuinely allowed the Logic Federation to gain a slight head start in the power struggles on the periphery of the Cloud Court.
On this day, the "Temple Hot List" of the "Eye of Logic" suddenly captured a relatively clear and continuous information flow. After decryption, its core content was:
"...Rule redundancy...needs cleaning...boundary..."
This information instantly put Dr. Li and other high-ranking officials on high alert!
Rule redundancy? Needs cleaning? Boundary?
This sounded like a trigger alert for some kind of self-maintenance mechanism within the Cloud Court? Did the Cloud Court feel that the rules in the periphery were too "chaotic" and needed to be "cleaned up"?
They immediately raised their alert Rank and cautiously sent an extremely humble, protocol-compliant "inquiry message" through the "visitor network": "[Detected rule status alert, please advise if assistance or evasion is needed?]"
After the message was sent, it was like a stone sinking into the sea, with no response.
But soon after, the rule barrier on the periphery of the Cloud Court, in the direction of the "Eye of Logic," subtly fluctuated, and a clearer information flow, carrying a distinct "notification" meaning, was transmitted through the "visitor network":
"[Routine maintenance, unrelated to visitors. Maintain silence, do not disturb.]"
Although the message was brief, it made Dr. Li and the others breathe a sigh of relief, while also feeling a touch of flattery. The Cloud Court... actually "notified" them? Could this be considered a certain degree of... "trust" or "recognition"?
They immediately strictly executed the "maintain silence" command, while also monitoring the rule changes on the periphery of the Cloud Court with even greater focus, viewing this as a once-in-a-lifetime Opportunity to observe the Cloud Court's "operation and maintenance mechanism" up close.
Inside the Star Gazing Hall, after Yun Feng dealt with the trivial "rule redundancy" (mainly some "burrs" in the boundary rules left by the long-term existence of the Artifact Spirit Collective and the Eye of Logic that needed to be smoothed out), he perceived the Logic Federation's cautious yet curious monitoring behavior and shook his head slightly.
"They certainly know how to seize an Opportunity."
He didn't pay it much mind, his gaze turning to the pond.
That Golden Koi, seemingly aware of the "visitor network's" existence, was blowing a bubble of unusually complex structure, as if containing some kind of "access log" parsing code, towards the Void Realm (in the direction of the Eye of Logic).
The bubble floated gently, and then, under the influence of some invisible force, quietly merged into the information flow of the "visitor network."
The Logic Federation's monitoring center immediately captured this special "data packet." After decryption, the scientists looked at each other—this seemed to be a segment of... optimization suggestions on how to more efficiently parse "non-environmental information"... from that fish?!
Dr. Li looked at the decoded information, silent for a long time, and finally said slowly:
"Perhaps... the 'administrators' we truly need to deal with have never been just one."
The Cloud Court's "visitor network" operated quietly amidst a subtle and peculiar interaction. It was like a half-open window, allowing the outside world a glimpse of the Cloud Court's mysterious iceberg tip, and at the same time, allowing some existences within the Cloud Court to communicate silently with the world outside the window in an unprecedented way.
This network was becoming increasingly complex and increasingly interesting. And all the "visitors" connected to this network vaguely felt that what they were touching might only be the outermost tendrils of a much larger, more incredible existence.
