124: The first signs of returning to stillness appear, a single finger pointing to nothingness.
The five origins merged into one, and Chaos reached Perfection. Yun Feng stood at the peak of the Endless Void Sea, sensing the complete origin core power within him, circulating endlessly, as if containing the mysteries of the entire Universe's creation and destruction. His will could now touch the most subtle rule fluctuations of the Void Sea, and wherever his gaze fell, the past and future seemed to flow within his grasp.
Without needing to search, the moment he achieved Perfection, the malice named "the great silence," hidden deep within the Void Realm's shadows, was like a startled viper, no longer able to conceal itself.
"I found you."
A cold, desolate thought, as if composed of the sounds of all things ending, surged like a tide from the depths of the Void Realm, instantly enveloping the Star Domain where Yun Feng stood. Starlight dimmed, space congealed, and even time seemed to become viscous; a desperate Dao Rhyme of "all things will eventually return to the great silence" permeated the area.
Immediately after, the Void Realm ahead was forcibly torn open like a curtain, and three bizarre figures, exuding suffocating decay and the aura of finality, slowly emerged, treading upon the wails of Law.
The leader was a mummified corpse in tattered black robes, with pale flames burning in its eye sockets, holding a twisted, gray scythe that seemed forged from the remnants of countless worlds—the "Ferryman." Its aura had clearly reached the level of a Chaos Sovereign; although not as perfect as Yun Feng, it carried a power of authority specifically for "ending."
To its left was a constantly writhing, dark-red mass of flesh composed of billions of tormented faces—the "Source of Suffering." It was a living curse itself, emitting mental pollution capable of driving living beings insane.
To its right was a colossal Puppet entirely made of rusted metal and broken gears—the "Bell of All Burials." Every movement it made produced a harsh, ear-splitting clang, as if tolling a funeral bell for the Universe. Wherever its sound waves passed, Law disintegrated.
The three core priests of the Guiji Cult, carrying the will of the Cult, came to execute the eradication of the "variable"!
"The usurper who stole the origin core... your existence is an error. Here... return to eternal silence." The Ferryman raised his gray scythe, locking onto Yun Feng. Upon the scythe, the wails of countless civilizations seemed to echo.
"Error? Silence?" Yun Feng, hearing this, chuckled softly, his laughter carrying an indescribable hint of mockery. "Your so-called 'the great silence' involves making such a racket, and this... hmm, rather abstract artistic style?"
He even looked with interest at the constantly writhing "Source of Suffering": "Honestly, your form isn't very friendly to those with trypophobia."
His relaxed and carefree attitude formed a stark contrast with the grim and despairing atmosphere opposite him.
The Ferryman's pale Soul fire abruptly flickered, clearly not expecting such a reaction from the opponent. The endless intent of slaughter and ending seemed to punch into empty air.
"Arrogant! Feel the mighty power of the great silence!" The Ferryman said no more, brandishing the gray scythe in his hand!
In an instant, a gray line of death, spanning the Star Sea, carrying the terrifying Law of ending all and ferrying all things, silently slashed towards Yun Feng! Wherever it passed, stars instantly turned deathly gray, losing all luster and vitality, as if their very meaning of existence had been drained.
At the same time, the "Source of Suffering" let out a shriek of billions of superimposed Souls; the invisible mental storm was enough to instantly shatter any strong-willed expert; the "Bell of All Burials" struck the prelude to destruction, and the sound waves that buried everything swept over like a tangible tide!
The combined strike of the three Guiji priests, with its might, was enough to instantly bury a prosperous Star Domain, returning all things to the "silence" they defined.
Facing this terrifying siege that would make any strong expert of the same rank stand ready, Yun Feng merely shook his head slightly.
"Too noisy, and too ugly."
He didn't even make any defensive or counter-attacking posture, but simply extended a finger towards the three world-destroying attacks and the three Guiji priests, slowly, as if flicking dust from a table, and gently pointed forward.
"Disperse."
There was no dazzling light, no roar of Laws colliding.
Only one word.
Words spoken, Law followed, definition rewritten!
The gray line of death spanning the Star Sea, while still tens of thousands of miles away from Yun Feng, silently dissipated from beginning to end, like a pencil mark erased by an eraser, leaving not even a ripple of energy.
The mental storm capable of driving gods insane, upon encountering the supreme Dao Rhyme contained in that word "Disperse," was as if it met absolute "stillness" and "tranquility." Billions of tormented faces instantly froze, then shattered and annihilated like bubbles, returning to nothingness.
The destructive sound waves that buried all things were as if a mute button had been pressed; all sounds, all fluctuations, were completely "defined" as zero at that moment, completely vanishing.
Not only that!
The power of Law contained in that word "Disperse," after obliterating all attacks, continued unabated, like mercury flowing across the ground, instantly sweeping past the bodies of the three Guiji priests.
The Ferryman remained frozen in the posture of swinging his scythe, the pale Soul fire in his eye sockets flickering violently, filled with endless horror and disbelief. The next moment, his body, condensed from the Law of ending, began to disintegrate from his fingertips, like a weathered sand sculpture, crumbling inch by inch into the most primitive particles of annihilation, finally dissipating completely. The gray scythe also let out a wail, breaking into countless fragments, and then annihilating.
The "Source of Suffering" couldn't even let out a scream; the writhing mass of flesh and billions of faces rapidly melted and purified like ice and snow under direct sunlight, leaving no trace.
The colossal metal body of the "Bell of All Burials," as if having endured billions of years of rust, transformed into a handful of red rust powder with a grating, teeth-aching creak, scattering into the Void Realm.
One finger, one word.
The three powerful core priests of the great silence, along with their attacks capable of burying a Star Domain, vanished into thin air, as if they had never existed.
The Star Domain returned to tranquility, even clearer than before, as if it had been cleansed by that supreme power.
Yun Feng slowly withdrew his finger, as if he had just done something trivial. His gaze calmly looked towards the direction from which the Guiji priests had come, into the depths of the Void Realm rift.
"Sending these mere trash, are you underestimating me, or... is this all you're capable of?"
His voice was not loud, yet it clearly penetrated the Endless Void Realm, reaching the consciousness of the true high-level Guiji Cult hidden behind the scenes.
The initial formal confrontation ended with Yun Feng's absolute crushing victory. But this was merely the prelude to the ultimate war with "the great silence." Yun Feng knew that an older, more terrifying existence was about to be awakened.
