302: Chapter 302, the script—it's our turn to write it.

Inside the command vehicle.

Tawang stubbed out his cigarette.

The time jumped to exactly 3:00.

He took a deep breath and pressed the headset's talk button: "Group C, fi—"

Before the word "fire" could leave his mouth.

"Buzz—!!!"

A low, heavy electromagnetic noise, as if surging from deep underground, exploded without warning!

It didn't come from any specific direction.

It was from all sides, like an invisible giant bell, completely enveloping the entire area!

"Zzzt—!!"

Ear-piercing static instantly erupted in the headset!

The screen of the vehicle-mounted radio flickered wildly, and all channels were submerged in rolling static!

"What's going on?!" Tawang's expression changed abruptly as he slammed the radio panel. "Communication! All communications are cut!"

The assistant frantically adjusted the backup frequencies, but he was met only with even stronger interference.

"It's electronic suppression! We're being jammed!" the assistant's voice trembled.

Tawang's heart pounded.

Something was wrong.

This was definitely no ordinary communication failure. Only a military-grade electronic warfare system could achieve this level of full-band suppression!

"Ambush!" he roared, pushing the car door open. "Abort the mission! All groups, dis—"

The word "perse" got stuck in his throat.

Because he saw the four guards outside the vehicle slowly collapsing in bizarre postures.

Phut.

Phut, phut.

The faint, almost inaudible gunshots were buried in the continuous electromagnetic noise, nearly impossible to hear.

But the blood blooming from the guards' foreheads or chests was glaringly clear through the night vision goggles.

Tawang instinctively reached for the pistol at his waist.

A sharp pain shot through his wrist.

A cold muzzle was already pressed against his temple.

He turned his head stiffly.

He saw the air beside the vehicle ripple like water. Several nearly transparent shadows "emerged" from the distorted light.

The woman leading them took off her helmet.

The ripples of the optical camouflage faded, revealing a cold face. Black tactical gear, short hair, and eyes like blades tempered in ice.

Erica.

Her muzzle didn't waver. "'Elephant Trainer' Mr. Tawang. The show is over."

Tawang's pupils constricted.

He recognized this face—no, he recognized this aura. It was the scent of a kindred spirit who had truly crawled out of a mountain of corpses and a sea of blood.

"You are..." His throat felt dry.

"Take him away." Erica didn't give him a chance to speak.

Two Shadow Blade members charged into the command vehicle like lightning, pinning down the dazed assistant. Another took out a data extraction device and plugged it into the vehicle's computer interface.

The screen lit up, and files began to copy.

Tawang tried to struggle, but a sudden pain hit the side of his neck.

A sedative was injected.

His vision quickly went dark, and the last thing he saw were that woman's emotionless eyes.

At almost the same moment.

Outside Ban Pha Muang Village.

The attackers of Group A and Group B were plunging into unprecedented panic.

"Communications are down!"

"We can't contact the command vehicle!"

"There's no word from Group C!"

Noisy low growls echoed in the forest. These experienced veterans realized instantly that something had gone wrong.

Someone tried to follow the backup plan and open fire on their own to create chaos.

An attacker raised an AKM, aimed it toward the village, and pulled the trigger—

"Whiz—!"

A sharp sound of something piercing the air tore through the night sky!

It didn't come from the direction of the village.

It was from above their heads!

"Boom!!!"

The fire from an explosion erupted in the forest less than fifty meters from the attackers' gathering point!

Dirt, wood splinters, and stones rained down upon them!

"Artillery! It's an artillery strike!"

The Myanmar Army has opened fire!

The attackers were scared out of their wits.

Then, a second shell, a third, a fourth...

"Boom! Boom! Boom!"

Precise warning shots, like hammer blows, landed around the attackers. They weren't meant to kill directly, but the shockwaves and shrapnel forced them to the ground, unable to even lift their heads.

"Retreat! Retreat quickly!"

Someone shouted.

The forty-two attackers scattered instantly.

They abandoned their weapons and ammunition, fleeing like startled rabbits toward what they thought was "safety"—the position of the Thai Army support troops five kilometers away.

Five kilometers away, at the Thai Army's hidden assembly area.

Two special operations squads, twenty-eight elites, were on standby next to their armored vehicles.

The commander was a lieutenant colonel. He checked his watch: 3:05 AM.

According to the plan, the "Wild Elephant" unit should have already opened fire, and the sound of explosions should be coming from the village.

But right now, besides the faint... thunder in the distance?

No.

The lieutenant colonel stood up abruptly.

That wasn't thunder.

It was artillery!

"What's happening?!" He grabbed the radio. "'Wild Elephant'! 'Wild Elephant'! Do you copy?!"

There was only the "zzzt" of static on the radio.

"Communications are being jammed!" the signalman's face went pale.

The lieutenant colonel's heart sank.

Something had gone wrong.

He made a split-second decision: "Everyone, get in the vehicles! We're going—"

Before he could finish his sentence.

From higher up in the sky came another sound.

"Whiz whiz whiz whiz—!!!"

A dense, piercing sound, like the Grim Reaper grinding his teeth.

The lieutenant colonel looked up sharply.

In the night sky, dozens of trails with tail flames were descending from the direction of Myanmar at a near-vertical angle toward their position—

Diving down!

"Rocket artillery!!!" he screamed the last two words of his life.

"Rumble—!!!"

Earth-shattering explosions erupted in the forest five kilometers away!

Massive fireballs soared into the sky, lighting up the night like day.

Trees were torn apart, and soil was sent flying.

The two hidden armored personnel carriers and the twenty-eight Thai Army special forces members were instantly swallowed by flames and shrapnel.

The shrill alarms and screams were completely drowned out by even more violent explosions.

Precise, lethal, and merciless.

3:20 AM.

Although the "Wild Elephant" unit had been wiped out and communications completely cut off, according to the original script, the media vehicles that had been "notified" in advance still drove out of Bangkok as planned.

The first batch of local Thai reporters (some of whom had already been bribed) were rushing toward "Ban Pha Muang."

In their vehicles, the prepared news headline was: "Myanmar Army Crosses Border for Massacre, Blood Stains Border Village."

Bangkok, Ministry of Defense Press Center.

Several military press officers were putting the final touches on the statement "Strongly Condemning the Myanmar Army's Brutal Invasion."

The wording was intense, every word designed to cut deep.

Washington, a certain strategic research room.

Several senior consultants drank coffee, waiting for "good news" to arrive from Bangkok.

Everything was progressing according to the "script."

Until—

All major global news channels and social media platforms switched their screens simultaneously!

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federation of Myanmar's global synchronized emergency press conference broke in without warning!

It wasn't the face of a spokesperson.

It was high-definition, multi-angle surveillance footage thrown directly out:

Video 1 (High-altitude drone infrared view): In the nighttime jungle, dozens of figures wearing Myanmar Army jungle camouflage were gathering and moving. Their thermal imaging outlines were clear.

Video 2 (Ground-level low-light reconnaissance view): Lens zoomed in for a close-up! The AKM rifle models in those people's hands were mixed, and someone was frantically adjusting the counterfeit "Bago Hat" on their head. An Eastern European face flashed across the screen.
