76: Chapter 76 The Secret of the Blood Moon: Hell is Empty, Demons Abound Among Us

Zhang Cheng sat at the head of the table, toying with a fountain pen in his hand, his eyes as calm as a stagnant pool of water.

Old K stood in the shadows like a statue cast in black iron, arms crossed, with only his infrared prosthetic eyes occasionally flickering to record everything in the room.

Sitting opposite them was the woman once codenamed "Phantom"—Erica.

She had washed away her disguise and changed into a clean gray prison uniform; although her face remained somewhat haggard, her blue eyes no longer held the numbness and fear from before, but instead burned with a ghostly fire called "revenge."

"Drink some water and take your time," Zhang Cheng said, pushing a cup of warm water toward her in a flat tone. "Spit out everything in your stomach. I want to know what these rats hiding in the gutters actually look like."

Erica held the cup with both hands, her knuckles turning white from the force. She took a deep breath, as if gathering the courage to tear open a bloody scar.

"The 'Blood Moon'... the outside world thinks it's just a mercenary assassin organization, but in reality, it's more like a... cult, or rather, a massive, precise human trafficking machine."

Erica's voice was somewhat hoarse, echoing in the silent room:

"The organization's structure is pyramid-shaped and perversely strict. The highest level is called the 'Guide,' who is the direct agent of the 'Western Council of Elders.' This person is mysterious; I've been in the organization for fifteen years and have only seen his back once. It is said that he controls thousands of secret accounts and intelligence nodes worldwide."

"Below the 'Guide' is the 'Instructor' group, responsible for scouring the world for 'seedlings' and putting them through hellish training. Below them are the 'Blades' like me—that is, assassins. And at the very bottom are the countless peripheral members known as 'consumables' and... spare parts."

"Seedlings?" Li Lanzhi couldn't help but interject, her voice trembling.

"It means children." A flash of pain crossed Erica's eyes. "The training camps are distributed in 'no man's land' areas around the world—the rainforests of South America, the deserts of Africa, and the Golden Triangle in Southeast Asia. They use various methods to get children: orphans from war zones, abandoned infants from slums, and... those kidnapped from normal countries."

She looked up at Zhang Cheng: "Especially children from the Dragon Country. The instructors said that the genes of Dragon Country people are good—smart and resilient—they are top-quality. They have a 'collection chain' specifically targeting the Dragon Country, operating domestically under the guise of international charities, transnational adoption organizations, and even summer camps. Many of those missing children have..."

"What happened to them?" Zhang Cheng tapped his pen heavily on the table with a "clack."

"Those who were weak, disobedient, or eliminated for showing too much 'humanity' during training..." Erica closed her eyes, two lines of tears falling. "I used to think they were dismissed. It wasn't until I became an 'Ace' and had higher authority that I discovered... they were sent to the 'Medical Department'."

"That place is not for saving lives; it's... a disassembly workshop."

"Hearts, kidneys, livers, corneas... any usable parts are removed, packed into freezer boxes, and shipped to top private hospitals in Europe, the Middle East, or North America, to be implanted into the bodies of wealthy people and politicians who are waving checks and looking to prolong their lives."

"Those animals!" Li Lanzhi couldn't hold it back any longer; she covered her mouth and rushed out of the room, the sound of her violent retching echoing from the hallway.

The room fell into a deathly silence.

Zhang Cheng's face remained calm, but the fountain pen in his hand had been bent by his sheer force, and ink stained his fingertips.

"Continue." His voice was as cold as if it had drifted out of an ice cellar.

Erica wiped her face and continued: "Besides organs, they also need 'blood.' Young, healthy blood is regarded as a 'miracle drug' for those old bastards to maintain their vitality. When I was on missions, I once saw an 'Elder' with my own eyes, like a vampire, regularly transfusing the blood plasma of young people..."

"Enough." Zhang Cheng interrupted her. He didn't need to hear any more; such anti-human crimes had already crossed his bottom line as a human being.

"Old K."

"Here."

"Pull up the data from the finance team," Zhang Cheng ordered.

Old K immediately projected a complex network diagram on the holographic display.

"Based on the clues provided by Erica, we tracked several offshore accounts. The flow of funds shows that a large portion of the 'Blood Moon's' income flows into several foundations in Switzerland and the Cayman Islands. And the controllers behind these foundations point to several pharmaceutical giants and energy tycoons in Europe and America, and even... members of the shadow cabinets of certain countries."

"This is the so-called 'Council of Elders'." Zhang Cheng sneered, murderous intent visible in his eyes. "A bunch of old ghosts eating people under the guise of civilization."

He stood up and walked over to Erica.

"What you've provided is very valuable. But it's not enough." Zhang Cheng looked down at her. "Knowing how bad they are is useless; I need to know where their weak points are."

"What do you want?" Erica asked.

"I want the locations of all their strongholds, transit stations, and safe houses in Southeast Asia. Especially those 'transit stations' that are still in operation." Zhang Cheng's voice sounded like grinding metal. "Don't they like to chop off other people's hands? Then I will first chop off the claws they've extended into Southeast Asia, one by one, all of them!"

Erica looked at the young overlord before her, sensing a violent will from him that was more terrifying and purer than "Blood Moon." But strangely, this will made her feel at ease.

"Give me a map." Erica stood up, the flames of revenge burning in her eyes. "I know where they are. There's a trading post on the Thailand border, a logging camp in the mountains of Laos, and a trading company in Yangon... those are all their 'blood banks'."

"Very good." Zhang Cheng turned around, put on his coat, and strode out.

"Old K, order the special operations squadron to assemble. Tonight, we go 'hunting.' Tell the brothers, no need to leave any survivors, no need to follow any rules. To deal with animals, you have to use the methods for dealing with animals!"
