843: Files, maps, flashlight, watch, pistol

“Dear? Why did you close the door again?” Outside the door, the woman’s voice appeared again.

Under the silent Black Night, it seemed abrupt.

“Dad, open the door, I want to see you!” Then, the girl’s voice emerged.

“Bang bang bang!”

The door was pounded, making muffled sounds, like a human skin drum being beaten!

Leaning against the back of the door, Mo De clenched his fists, taking deep breaths to calm his mood, and remained silent.

“Dad, open the door quickly, why did you close it as soon as I came? Do you dislike Betty?”

“Does Dad not want Betty anymore?”

As the girl outside the door spoke, she clearly conveyed her disappointment.

[2. You only have one family member, please treat them well. Estrangement will lead to very serious things.]

The dark words reappeared before him. Mo De looked at the line of text, bloodshot eyes appearing one by one, remaining silent.

It was already past 12 o’clock!

The one outside couldn't possibly be his family, or rather, couldn't be a person! This strange rule was still misleading him!

“Bang bang bang!!”

The knocking became louder.

Wall dust fell rustling, as if the locked door would be directly pushed open by the other party in the next moment!

“Dad, it’s so dark here, I’m so scared!”

“Open the door! Open the door!!”

Suddenly, the girl’s shrill scream outside the door erupted, like a dead person’s hysteria before dying!

And at the moment this obviously abnormal scream fell, the knocking outside suddenly disappeared.

The surroundings instantly fell into a dead silence.

The dead silence lasted for a while, and Mo De, who was leaning against the back of the door, finally felt his heart, which had been beating violently due to tension, slowly calm down.

Exhaling a long breath of stale air, A Man looked at the clock on the room wall again.

He should have thought of it earlier.

The purpose of this World was to make them die!

Therefore, everything in this World needed to be viewed with suspicion, even a clock for timing!

After resting on the ground for a while, Mo De slowly got up.

His attention was now focused on the room he was in.

This room only had a simple desk and a bed. It didn’t look like the master bedroom.

Without much hesitation, Mo De quickly searched the room for anything that could provide more information.

Now, besides being able to confirm that he was the Sheriff of this Town and the information from the System that he couldn't go out after dark, everything else was vague!

Having finally gotten a period of safety, he naturally wanted to get as much information as possible.

Using the light from the dim desk lamp, Mo De rummaged through the room.

Finally, he found a large number of case files, a Town map, a flashlight, a watch, and a pistol loaded with six bullets!

Putting the map, flashlight, watch, and pistol aside for the time being, Mo De looked at the stack of case files.

This stack was all information about the dismemberment case.

Logically, if he was really the murderer, as the Sheriff, he should close the case as soon as possible and put this matter behind him so that people would no longer think about it.

Staying up late until almost twelve o’clock looking at this stack of case files…

Maybe he was really concerned about this case and wanted to find the real murderer!

So, the first rule of the strange talk was also wrong? He wasn't the murderer?

No.

There were still too many factors to consider in this matter. Besides relying on the System, he currently had almost no way to determine whether that strange rule 1 was a lie!

Suppressing the emotions in his heart, Mo De focused his attention on the case files in front of him.

[Dismemberment Case]

Deceased: Bosen

Murderer: Unknown

Suspects: Old Tang Na, Toby Brothers, Corey, Mara, Harrington…

Case Description: On August 9th, cloudy, a pack of wild wolves came to the Redwood Forest behind the Town. Sheriff Mo De received a call reporting it. To prevent the wild wolves from harming the Town residents, he took Police Officer Corey to the scene and used a gun to drive away the wild wolves.

After the wolf pack left, Mo De and Corey found some foul-smelling pieces of meat that had been dug up from the ground by the wild wolves in the woods. After sending them for forensic identification, it was confirmed that these were human body parts.

According to the forensic identification results, the DNA of the body parts matched that of Bosen, a missing person from the Town, and it was also confirmed that the deceased was Bosen.

That was most of the main information in the case files.

And among the larger, thick stack of papers, there was a lot of miscellaneous information.

For example, a pile of forensic examination reports.

A pile of analyzed relationships of the deceased.

The family situation of the deceased, etc…

Of course, the latter two pieces of information were still somewhat necessary for Mo De.

From the case files, Mo De already knew.

Bosen: Male

Age: 37 years old

Occupation: Town Barber

Family: None

Among them.

Old Tang Na, the blacksmith, had a very bad relationship with Bosen and had fought with him twice, making him the prime suspect.

The two second suspects, the Toby brothers, were Bosen’s "Tu". They had always been in contact with Bosen, but Bosen had been missing for half a month, and the brothers had not contacted the Police.

Mara, the only woman with suspicion, did business entertaining guests in the Town. Her only regular guest was Bosen.

Through the information in the case files, Mo De roughly understood the situation of some of the people in the Town he was in.

“I myself, along with Police Officer Corey, discovered the body?” Among all this information, Mo De also caught an important piece of information.

“It seems the possibility of me being the murderer is a little smaller.”

Of course, it was only a smaller possibility, not none.

Rubbing his forehead, Mo De looked at the clock on the wall.

9:00

Obviously, this was another false time.

He then looked at the watch on the table.

1:30

This time was relatively much more normal, but it was still uncertain whether it was accurate.

He picked up the pistol from the table.

This thing added a sense of security to his heart.

He also understood that this thing would have no effect on the existence of strange things, but it was better than nothing.

With the pistol on him and his clothes still on, Mo De lay on the bed like this, closed his eyes, and fell asleep.
