4: Chapter 4 Absolute Critical Strike
The card in his hand didn't feel like cold metal, but rather had a warm, smooth texture, as if he were holding a piece of warm jade.
The next second, it didn't shatter, nor did it turn into light, but instead melted directly.
The silver liquid flowed through Fang Che's fingers, but defying physics, it climbed upwards, tracing his arm, sinking into his skin, and finally gathering at the center of his forehead before vanishing.
The process took only an instant.
An information box, visible only to him, unfolded before his eyes.
[Talent Activation Successful]
[Talent Name: Absolute Critical Hit]
[Talent Grade: SSS]
[Effect: Every reasonable judgment will trigger a Critical Hit check. This includes but is not limited to: EXP, attribute increases, dropped items, skill proficiency, special agreement rewards, etc. Critical Hit multiplier is 1–100x, triggered randomly. Critical Hit rate is affected by the Luck attribute.]
[Passive Effect: After each minimum Critical Hit is triggered, the minimum and maximum multipliers for the next Critical Hit increase by +1. This can stack, with an unknown upper limit.]
Fang Che's heart gave a heavy thump.
Absolute Critical Hit.
The name of this talent sounded simple and crude, but the effect... was simply heaven-defying.
Everything reasonable triggers a Critical Hit?
When he fights monsters, EXP gets a Critical Hit. When monsters drop items, the drop rate gets a Critical Hit. When he learns skills, proficiency gets a Critical Hit.
What's even more insane is that passive effect.
As long as he has bad luck once and triggers the minimum multiplier, the minimum and maximum for the next one will both increase by one.
If he keeps having bad luck, couldn't he stack the minimum Critical Hit rate to an unimaginable level?
The growth potential of this talent was simply endless.
"Fang Che?" Teacher Qin Bing's voice pulled him back from his shock, her tone carrying a hint of imperceptible nervousness. "How is it? What did you awaken?"
Every girl in the carriage had her gaze fixed on him; thirty-five pairs of eyes, some expectant, some jealous, some anxious.
Fang Che raised his hand, not speaking, but simply tapping the void panel in front of him.
That personal information panel, which only he could see, seemed to be flipped over by an invisible hand, projecting clearly into the air, facing everyone in the carriage.
"Holy shit!!"
The first to shout was Lin Xinyi.
The class beauty, who had been shivering in fear just moments ago, now had her eyes wide open, squatting on the ground and nearly falling backward. She pointed at the panel, her voice shrill and distorted.
"SSS Grade??"
"Absolute Critical Hit? What does that mean?" A girl next to her leaned over, her face full of confusion.
"It means the things dropped by monsters double! EXP doubles! Looted items double! Everything doubles!" Lin Xinyi practically roared. She usually loved playing games and was all too familiar with these terms. "Look at that effect! One to one hundred times! It's random!!"
A single stone stirred up a thousand ripples. The entire carriage, after a brief, deathly silence, instantly erupted into chaos.
"One hundred times?!"
"Are you kidding me! Killing one monster is equal to others killing one hundred?"
"This... this is too insane!"
"More than insane, this is simply the Chosen One!"
The girls completely forgot they were still naked, their cheeks flushed with excitement, and their gazes toward Fang Che had completely changed.
The sports representative, Jiang Ning, had her mouth agape, unable to close it for a long time. She looked at the rainbow-colored panel, then at Fang Che, her gaze complex. There was shock, envy, but more than that, a sense of... relief.
Su Qingxue remained calm, but the habitual gesture of adjusting her glasses betrayed her inner turmoil. Her gaze lingered on the phrase "Special Agreement Rewards" on the panel for a full three seconds.
Teacher Qin Bing's body swayed slightly, but she steadied herself immediately. She looked at Fang Che with unprecedented gravity in her eyes. She knew that from this moment on, the power structure of this carriage had completely changed. Her authority as a teacher would become insignificant in the face of absolute power.
"Th-that..." A timid voice sounded weakly from the crowd. "Doesn't that mean that... that agreement from just now... can also...?"
Halfway through, the girl realized what she was saying, her face flushing bright red all the way to her neck. She let out a scream and shrunk back behind the crowd.
But everyone had heard it. The carriage, which had been extremely noisy just a moment ago, fell into an eerie silence once again.
Rustle, rustle. A faint commotion arose.
Many girls subconsciously shifted their bodies, sneaking a glance at Fang Che, then quickly looking away as if pricked by a needle, though they couldn't help but keep him in the corner of their eyes.
The atmosphere became subtle.
The reward of "All-Attribute Leap," multiplied by a one to one hundred times Critical Hit.
What kind of concept would that be? A step to the heavens?
Some girls who had previously been full of resistance and disgust now had flickering gazes, their breathing becoming somewhat rapid.
Fang Che felt the change in these gazes and was speechless. He felt that his current situation was even more dangerous than before.
"Ahem." Teacher Qin Bing gave a dry cough, breaking the suffocating awkwardness. She forcibly pulled everyone's attention back.
"Su Qingxue, when you looked at the panel just now, was there any other information?"
Su Qingxue seemed to have just come to her senses, pushed up her non-existent glasses, and turned to look at the public information panel on the console.
"Station Name: Abandoned Town. Danger Level: F. Stop Duration: Five hours. Suggested Participation: Everyone."
"F-Grade is the lowest danger level," Su Qingxue added. "And we have five hours, so time is abundant. It seems the difficulty of this first stop isn't high; it's mainly for us to adapt."
Teacher Qin Bing nodded and turned to everyone.
"My suggestion is that once we arrive, everyone must get off the Train and go collect supplies together."
"Teacher!" A girl immediately raised her hand, her voice weak. "Outside... will there be monsters? What if..."
"Even if there are monsters, we still have to go down."
A crisp, decisive voice interrupted her. It was Jiang Ning.
She straightened her body against the carriage wall, lowered her hand from her chest, and stopped covering herself. Her wheat-colored, athletic body under the blood-red light showed every muscle line full of power.
She swept her gaze across the girls who were still hesitating and raised an eyebrow.
"If you don't get off the Train to find clothes to wear, do you plan on staying bare-assed until you die?"
The words were crude, but the logic was sound.
The few girls who were still hesitating looked at each other, their faces turning red, and they stopped making a sound.
Just then, the Train's broadcast sounded again, the cold, mechanical voice echoing through the carriage.
[Warning: The Train is about to arrive at the first station — Abandoned Town.]
[Stop Countdown: 1 minute.]
[Please, Survivors, prepare yourselves.]
