57: Chapter 57 Qingshan High School
The debate was still ongoing, but it was no longer as intense as before.
Everyone's analysis had its own merit.
Su Qingxue and Teacher Qin Bing exchanged a glance, both seeing the dilemma in the other's eyes.
The team's inability to reach a consensus was fatal.
At a time like this, any wrong decision could lead to a total wipeout.
Su Qingxue's gaze swept across the carriage and landed in a corner.
"Waner."
She spoke up.
Everyone's gaze followed hers, turning to look at Mu Waner, the girl who had remained silent all this time.
Mu Waner was the possessor of the S-rank talent, Eye of Analysis.
"What is your take?" Su Qingxue's voice was calm; she needed an objective judgment.
Mu Waner, having been called upon, looked up; she had been keeping her head down, lost in thought.
At that moment, a flash of blue data streams, imperceptible to others, flickered across her pupils.
The images and text descriptions of the two routes decomposed into countless data fragments within her field of vision, reorganizing, analyzing, and extrapolating at an astonishing speed.
Seconds later, the data streams vanished.
Mu Waner's expression became incredibly serious.
"Go to the school."
She said only three words, her voice soft but firm.
"Why?" a girl immediately countered. "Isn't the rule-based killing in this crappy school even scarier than the monsters out in the open?"
The girl was already trembling with fear inside, but she had to pretend she was making a rational analysis on the surface.
Mu Waner pushed up her glasses, turned to look at the girl who had asked, and explained to everyone: "In the description of the Golden Coast, behind the danger level, there is a specific word attached."
She paused, then enunciated slowly: "Unknown."
"The unknown is what's truly terrifying."
"C- is the station level, not the limit of the monsters. Do you really think the monsters there will obediently line up to die? 'Unknown' means there could be terrifying creatures far beyond our imagination!"
"In an open beach terrain, once a monster triggers a tsunami or launches an area-of-effect attack, everyone here would be nothing more than prey waiting to be slaughtered, with absolutely no power to fight back!"
Mu Waner's analysis instantly dispelled the strong urge of those girls who favored the Golden Coast.
She continued: "Although Qingshan High School is rule-based and sounds eerie, rules themselves are a form of order and logic. As long as there is logic, there are traces to follow, which we can analyze and utilize. Isn't that a hundred times better than running out into the open to die?"
"Its danger is fixed and controllable. Whereas the danger of the Golden Coast is completely out of control."
"I suggest we go to the school. It's better suited for utilizing our collective intelligence rather than betting on luck we simply don't have."
Mu Waner's analysis was logical and well-founded, instantly leaving most people speechless.
Yet, this didn't fully convince them; the fear of unknown rule-based killing still lingered vividly in their hearts.
Just as the carriage fell into a deadlock again, and everyone was hesitating.
Creak.
The door to the conference room was pushed open.
Jiang Ning, Chen Keke, and Xu Zhaozhao walked in.
They had just finished getting dressed, and their hair was still a bit damp, clearly having rushed over to attend the meeting.
"How could you leave us out of a meeting?" Jiang Ning said breezily, breaking the oppressive atmosphere.
But no one answered her.
In an instant, everyone in the conference room, men and women alike, focused their gaze on the three of them.
Jiang Ning, walking in front, usually had a hint of haughtiness and a touch of fatigue in her eyes, but at this moment, her face was like a piece of exquisite jade that had been meticulously polished, without a single flaw.
Her skin was so fine that not a single pore was visible, and it radiated an astonishing, hydrated suppleness and a rosy glow from within.
It was a feeling of being completely succulent and ripe; one could almost squeeze a drop of sweet nectar from her with a light pinch.
Xu Zhaozhao was even more dramatic. Previously somewhat timid, she had always been in the habit of hunching her shoulders, but today, not only was her posture upright, but the curve of her chest seemed even fuller and more prominent than yesterday, faintly stretching her hoodie into a breathtaking silhouette.
Her gaze no longer darted away; it was clear and bright, flickering with the satisfaction and languor that only comes after being thoroughly filled and deeply nourished by the purest energy.
And then there was Chen Keke; her pure face was veiled in a soft, faint glow, and she exuded a surging, astonishing vitality from the very depths of her bones!
That was a state of health that had broken the limits of human physiology!
"Oh my god..."
A sharp-eyed girl, looking at Xu Zhaozhao's rosy, glowing face, couldn't help but let out a very low exclamation.
"How did their skin get so good? Can it glow on its own?"
This exclamation directly and violently stung the deepest parts of the hearts of the female survivors present.
All sorts of complex emotions erupted in an instant.
The girls present subconsciously looked at themselves, then at the three women next to them who had been reborn.
Their gazes, simultaneously and unanimously, turned to the man standing to the side, completely unscathed.
Fang Che!
If before, these gazes were mixed with seeking protection, fear, and curiosity.
Then now, all those emotions had been replaced by a more primitive, more naked desire.
This was a frantic possessiveness erupting from the bones, an extreme craving for the one who could bring the finest genes!
Must obtain this man!
Even at any cost! Even if it meant shedding all shame!
Many girls' breathing began to grow heavy, their nostrils flaring.
They subconsciously squeezed their legs together, feeling an extremely unfamiliar yet unusually scorching restlessness rising deep within their lower abdomens.
This strong and near-manic urge to compete spread and rippled rapidly through the hearts of all the girls.
Unexpectedly, the opinion that had been impossible to unify was now, eerily, in consensus.
Where to go no longer mattered.
Su Qingxue, standing in front of the control console, took in all these changes.
She took a deep breath, her towering chest heaving slightly, and gave Fang Che a deep look.
She turned back to carefully scan the three girls who were directly receiving everyone's attention, her expression extremely complex.
She made the call calmly.
"Since no one objects, what is there to hesitate about?"
Su Qingxue made the decision decisively, seizing the opportunity to firmly take control of the situation.
"We are going directly to Qingshan High School."
"Rules mean they can be utilized and broken. I think Waner's analysis is correct."
Her decision directly put an end to this silent war.
This time, no one raised any objections.
Everyone defaulted to this result.
Su Qingxue looked at Fang Che, seeking his final opinion.
Fang Che nodded, indicating his agreement.
He also believed that under the current conditions, a rule-based dungeon with traces to follow was much safer than an open battlefield filled with unknown variables.
Having received Fang Che's confirmation, Su Qingxue immediately walked to the control console and selected the second route.
"Boom—rumble—!"
The massive doomsday survival Train emitted a dull and powerful metallic tremor.
The engine spewed out hot steam, and the massive body of the vehicle let out a piercing screech of friction against the tracks as it slowly changed direction.
It headed directly toward the tracks shrouded in dense fog that led to Qingshan High School.
