95: First

Fang Che's gaze landed on the entrance of the third passage.

Unlike the previous two paths, there was no twisted flesh or cold metal here; only a mottled stone tablet stood silently at the entrance.

The rules were carved onto the tablet in an archaic script, exuding an unquestionable murderous intent.

[Rule: Making any sound is prohibited]

[Violators will be instantly erased]

Fang Che did not hesitate and stepped inside.

The second he entered, the path behind him, which still had a faint glimmer of light, was rapidly swallowed by darkness, instantly plunging into absolute pitch-blackness with no way back.

The floor beneath his feet was an old wooden structure, with dust accumulated in the gaps and many floorboards warped.

If an ordinary person stepped on it, it would inevitably emit a harsh creaking sound; this was the first trap.

Fang Che adjusted his breathing, held his breath, and tentatively placed his right foot down.

There was no sound at all; the [endless running shoes] on his feet had taken effect.

The special material of the soles absorbed all stomping and friction sounds, allowing him to walk across the old wooden floor without making a sound.

Fang Che felt assured and continued walking forward.

He walked very slowly and steadily, fully controlling every step and ensuring he didn't make any unnecessary noise.

He hadn't gone far before he saw a layer of gray-white dust permeating the air ahead.

The air in the passage was nearly stagnant, and those dust particles suspended within it brought a distinct sense of oppression.

In the dim light, Fang Che could clearly see every tiny particle.

If Su Qingxue were here, a single frost spell could freeze all of this stuff.

But now, he was on his own.

Fang Che stopped his footsteps, not rushing in recklessly.

He held his breath and silently opened his system inventory.

[Universal Serum: After injection or oral administration, it can significantly enhance tolerance and provide immunity to irritation for a short period, as well as remove poisoned status]

Fang Che couldn't help but complain internally.

"Damn, thank goodness I have a cheat."

He carefully twisted open the cap, fearing he might make even the slightest sound, and then swallowed the liquid.

The liquid slid down his throat without any taste, but the effect was immediate.

A wave of coolness spread along his esophagus, and the impending sensation of itching in his nasal cavity vanished instantly.

Fang Che did not hesitate any longer and strode forward.

The fine dust densely adhered to him, entering his nasal cavity with his breath, yet it didn't trigger even the slightest urge to cough or sneeze.

The walls on both sides of the passage were no longer concrete, but a warm, fleshy structure with a slight pulsation.

The walls were densely covered with eyeballs.

Some were as large as a human head and covered in bloodshot veins, while smaller eyeballs rotated flexibly, reflecting an eerie sheen.

Regardless of their size, all the eyeballs locked their pupils tightly onto Fang Che in the center of the passage.

As he continued to move forward, the gazes of countless eyeballs followed him, bringing an intense sensation of being watched.

When Fang Che walked in front of them, the nearest huge eyeball suddenly turned, its brown pupil abruptly contracting into a dot.

Immediately afterward, a crack split open on the smooth surface of the eyeball without warning, and the internal structure began to rub and heave, preparing to emit a scream capable of triggering the rules.

Fang Che let out a low shout in his heart and immediately activated his skill.

His right index and middle fingers were instantly enhanced; the finger bones became exceptionally hard, and the skin was covered with a layer of cuticle that was difficult to discern with the naked eye.

One-thousandth of a second before the crack could make a sound, he thrust his fingers out with extreme speed and pinched it with absolute precision.

The two enhanced fingers clamped down tightly on that crack.

The eyeball trembled violently as if trying to use all its strength to emit a sound, but it was blocked tightly, and only a few muffled "mm... mm..." sounds leaked out from between Fang Che's fingers.

Fang Che's gaze was cold, his hands merciless, and he suddenly increased his strength.

Accompanied by a muffled sound similar to a wet bubble being popped, the eyeball twitched violently a few times before its pupil dilated, falling completely dead and silent.

Fang Che let go, not caring about being covered in sticky liquid, and continued forward.

He had just taken one step when the crack of another eyeball beside him also opened.

He didn't even have time to think; his right hand instinctively reached out, again striking after the target but arriving first, pinching that crack with precision.

The third, the fourth, the fifth...

The entire passage instantly turned into an extremely dangerous road of death.

Fang Che moved quickly through the passage, his right hand constantly pressing against the fleshy walls, frantically blocking every eyeball attempting to scream.

Every move had to be fast and accurate enough.

Reaction speed, judgment, and physical coordination were all indispensable here.

As long as there was a single mistake, or if one eyeball succeeded in emitting a sound, he would be instantly erased by the rules.

The extreme danger squeezed out all his potential; he forcibly controlled his wildly beating heart, relying on tense muscles to suppress all noise within his body.

Sweat seeped from his forehead and flowed along his brow bone into his eyes, bringing a sour and astringent sensation, and his vision became somewhat blurred.

He dared not blink, let alone raise his hand to wipe it.

Any unnecessary movement could lead to total ruin.

Just as he was highly focused and reached the middle of the passage, an unexpected change occurred.

His right foot had just stepped firmly onto a floorboard, and it collapsed downward without warning.

His foot went empty!

His body plummeted suddenly, the sudden sense of weightlessness making his heart jump, and a gasp was almost on the verge of escaping his lips!

Absolutely not!

The instant before the gasp rushed up his throat, he used all his strength to bite down hard on his teeth.

Accompanied by a faint, crisp sound spreading in his mouth.

He bit and shattered half a molar.

Intense pain exploded, striking directly at his nerves, and the metallic taste of blood and the gritty texture of tooth fragments instantly filled his entire mouth.

That gasp about to escape was forcibly swallowed back by him using this near-self-mutilating method.

The moment his body fell, the [endless running shoes] once again exerted their powerful grip, the soles locking tightly onto the wooden splinters at the edge of the collapse.

Utilizing the momentary support, Fang Che forcibly stabilized his center of gravity, exerted sudden force from his waist and abdomen to kick off the wall, and took advantage of the momentum to roll forward, landing in a safe area a few meters away.

He lay on his side on the ground, silently spitting out a mouthful of blood foam mixed with tooth fragments.

Except for this noise, which was so slight it could be ignored, he had not made any rule-breaking sounds throughout the entire thrilling process.

He had finally survived.

Fang Che lay prone on the cold wooden floor, breathing silently and heavily.

The continuous, intense pain from the shattered tooth struck directly at his nerves, and every heartbeat doubled the agony.

Cold sweat instantly soaked his back; if this continued, the pain alone would be enough to cause his mental breakdown.

He absolutely could not wait.

Enduring the intense pain and not daring to make any sound, he barely managed to prop himself up and reached his hand into his system inventory.

His consciousness swept rapidly through the piles of medical supplies, finally locking onto a small metal syringe.

[adrenaline enhancer]!

The next second, an auto-injector appeared in his hand.

He didn't even have time to hesitate; he pressed the tip of the syringe firmly against his thigh through his pants.

To prevent any mechanical sound when pressing it, he wrapped his entire palm around the tail of the syringe and used brute force to slowly press it down.

There was no crisp spring sound, only a faint, almost imperceptible movement muffled to the extreme by his muscles and palm.

The icy liquid was instantly injected into his body!

An intensely cold, stinging sensation rushed from his spine straight to his brain, forcibly suppressing the piercing pain.

The intense pain did not disappear; it was merely isolated by another wave of extreme, cold sensory stimulation.

His heart, which had been beating wildly due to extreme pain and shock, was forcibly stabilized by the effect of the drug.

His body stopped trembling, and his vision became clear and sharp again.

This was his true confidence in daring to venture into this dead-end path alone.

Fang Che lay quietly for a few seconds; after fully adapting to the drug's power, he gritted his teeth, used his arms to prop up his no-longer-sore body, and slowly stood up once again.

He raised his hand to wipe away the bloodstains from the corners of his mouth, his gaze colder and more determined than before.

Looking up, he could already see an old wooden door in front of the passage.

A sign with the words "Broadcasting Room" hung on the door.

The destination was right before his eyes.

But just as Fang Che thought the most dangerous moment had passed and was preparing to make a dash for it in one go, an accident occurred.

A sudden, abrupt ringing sound came from behind that wooden door, crystal clear and without warning.

Ring... ring... ring...

It was the ringing of an old-fashioned telephone.
