11: Chapter 11 A sonic boom from flooring the gas pedal, the general delivers a package to your door overnight!
The aftershocks of the sonic boom had not yet dissipated, and the ears of the watching villagers were left with nothing but a sharp ringing.
That silver-white wuling hongguang drifted stylishly at the end of the village road, slid back silently, and finally came to a steady stop at the gate of the courtyard.
The dim blue flames inside that pitch-black pipe at the rear of the car had already extinguished.
Only a faint "buzzing" sound remained, like the snoring of some beast in its sleep.
Su Che pushed open the car door and jumped out, a trace of excitement still on his face.
"How about that, Dad? This time, when hauling oranges uphill, I guarantee it won't stall."
He turned back, only to see faces frozen in shock.
The cigarette Su Pingan had just lit fell to the ground, and he didn't even notice when it burned his pant leg.
He pointed at Su Che, his lips trembling for a long time, but he couldn't utter a single word.
Finally, he walked around to the back of the car, staring intently at the nozzle that was still emitting heat.
"You... you... you... did you install a firecracker at the back of that car?"
"Dad, that's the engine."
Su Che patted the hood with an innocent expression.
"I told you it would make sure you don't break down while hauling oranges."
"Bullshit!"
Su Pingan finally recovered from his extreme shock and roared.
"What kind of engine looks like that! What kind of engine fires cannons! Are you trying to send me to my grave early, you little shit!"
He wanted to kick the car, but halfway through, he looked at that pitch-black nozzle and abruptly pulled his foot back, his face full of lingering fear.
Beside him, Su Ergou stared blankly at the wuling hongguang, muttering to himself.
"Brother Che... this car of yours... are you burning firewood or gas canisters?"
"I think it's heavenly lightning."
Another villager added, shivering.
Lin Waner, who had just arrived a moment ago, adjusted her glasses, her intellectual face filled with incomprehensible shock.
She walked quickly to the front of the car, not looking at the nozzle, but bending down to carefully examine the ground.
On the concrete under the wheels, there were two clear black tire marks, caused by the instantaneous acceleration.
"Instantaneous acceleration... This has already exceeded the physical limits of any internal combustion engine."
She looked up, and her gaze toward Su Che was no different from looking at an alien.
"Student Su Che, what... what exactly did you make?"
Su Che scratched his head, just about to explain the basic principles of a turbojet engine.
"Screech—!!!"
A harsh screech of brakes shattered the village's tranquility.
It was that same black SUV, which parked directly across the village entrance, blocking the only way out.
The car door was flung open.
Captain Li Jun was the first to jump out.
Behind him followed four young men, also wearing black jackets and looking stern.
This time, they made no attempt to conceal themselves, spreading out cleanly and efficiently to form an invisible perimeter around the wuling hongguang.
An aura of grimness instantly enveloped the entire courtyard.
The villagers were so frightened by this spectacle that they retreated repeatedly, their expressions shifting from shock to fear.
"Are the people from the Telecommunications Bureau here again?"
"These aren't from the Telecommunications Bureau; look at their eyes, they look like they're going to eat someone..."
Su Pingan was also terrified; he instinctively pulled Su Che behind him.
Captain Li Jun ignored everyone, walking straight up to Su Che, his gaze like a knife.
Then, he walked a circle around the wuling hongguang.
When he saw that bowl-sized nozzle at the rear of the car.
He grabbed Su Che by the arm, dragged him to the side, and lowered his voice.
"A cruise missile booster, and you call this an engine?"
Su Che was confused by his question.
"What missile?"
He looked completely blank.
"Cruise missile? Never seen one. This is just a turbojet engine, very common, salvaged from a drone. It's just a bit noisy."
Captain Li Jun felt his temples throbbing.
A drone? Which country's drone uses a fucking cruise missile booster?!
"Where did you get the blueprints?" Captain Li Jun's voice carried a hint of suppressed anger.
"The system... oh no, I figured it out myself."
Su Che almost let it slip and quickly corrected himself, "It's the same principle as a hairdryer; blow air backward, and the car moves forward."
A... a hairdryer?
Captain Li Jun looked at Su Che's face, which was full of "sincerity" and "innocence," and nearly coughed up blood.
He felt he wasn't interrogating a technician, but engaging in cross-dimensional communication with a mental patient.
He suppressed his anger, pointed at the nozzle, and asked word by word.
"Fuel! What fuel are you using!"
"Oh, this?"
Su Che slapped his forehead.
"Diesel, with a bit of alcohol, and some... well, an ancestral secret combustion-enhancing formula. I can't share that."
Ancestral secret formula... He's hitting me with another ancestral secret formula!
Captain Li Jun completely gave up on communicating.
He knew that if he kept asking, this kid would start rambling from the creation of the world by the Pangu Quantum Computer.
He released Su Che and gave a low order into his earpiece.
"Group A, seal off the village entrance, prohibit any vehicles or personnel from entering or leaving."
"Group B, clear the area, persuade all unrelated personnel to leave."
"Group C, establish a Level 1 security zone with the target vehicle as the center!"
Once the orders were issued, those "Telecommunications Bureau employees" immediately sprang into action.
Two young men walked to the village entrance and immediately put up a warning tape printed with "Construction Ahead, No Entry."
The other two began to evacuate the watching villagers.
"Dear villagers, our Telecommunications Bureau needs to conduct a major line overhaul here. For everyone's safety, please go home first."
The villagers had never seen such a scene; they ran faster than rabbits.
At the courtyard gate, only Su Che's family of three and a bewildered Lin Waner remained.
Captain Li Jun walked up to Su Pingan, his icy face struggling to squeeze out a stiff smile.
"Uncle, don't be nervous. I'm the person in charge from the municipal Telecommunications Bureau."
He pointed at Su Che.
"Your son... his invention is causing severe interference with our signals. We need to set up a long-term signal observation station here until the problem is completely resolved."
"Long... long-term?" Su Pingan asked, stuttering.
"Yes."
Captain Li Jun nodded, then pointed to the two-story building next to Su Che's house, which had been vacant for years because the owners were working away.
"We'll just borrow that building as a temporary office. Don't worry, we will pay rent."
After speaking, he waved his hand.
In the distance on the village road, two more engineering vehicles marked "Dragon Country Telecommunications" drove over.
The car doors opened, and over a dozen young men in blue work uniforms jumped out, beginning to unload various strange-looking "equipment" tightly wrapped in canvas.
Those men moved with steady steps and sharp gazes; when handling the equipment, their movements were coordinated, full of the rhythmic precision unique to soldiers.
Su Pingan looked at those men, looked at those so-called "telecommunications equipment," and then looked at Captain Li Jun's unquestionable face.
He had guessed last time that these were not from the Telecommunications Bureau!
These are all military personnel!
His legs went weak, and he nearly lost his footing, but fortunately, he was steadied by Su Che beside him.
"Dad, what's wrong?"
"It's... it's all over..."
Su Pingan looked at his son, who was still completely clueless, his voice trembling.
"My Che... you... this time... I'm afraid you've poked a hole in the sky!"
