144: Chapter 144 The Atomic Reconstruction of the Candle Dragon: A Gaze from the Edge of the Solar System!
Pangu Laboratory, Level B2, late at night.
Su Che sat in front of the console, his gaze fixed on the fluid dynamics simulation on the main screen.
A model of the 100,000-ton aerospace mothership rotated slowly in the center of the screen, while the simulated airflow from the seventy-two engines at the bottom struck the ground, rebounding to form a massive red turbulence ring.
He summoned the system panel.
"Ding! 26,000 skill points consumed. Force Field-Aerodynamic Collaborative Takeoff and Landing Technology, Duct Airflow Control Technology, and Large Platform Takeoff and Landing Stability Control Technology have been redeemed."
"Current accumulated skill points for the host: 60,400 points."
Immediately following, a new round of characters appeared.
"System Prompt: Core technology detected as redeemed; supporting auxiliary technologies/blueprints/plans have not yet been redeemed."
"Includes: Composite Takeoff and Landing Structure Blueprints (3,000 redemption points), Force Field Duct Design Plan (2,000 redemption points), Takeoff and Landing Attitude Control Algorithm (1,400 redemption points)."
"Total redemption points: 6,400."
"Current accumulated skill points for the host: 60,400 points. Redeem?"
"Redeem all," Su Che said.
"Ding! 6,400 skill points consumed."
"Current accumulated skill points for the host: 54,000 points."
A massive stream of engineering data poured down. Su Che closed his eyes for two seconds, then opened them.
He pulled over the keyboard and quickly delineated four areas on the 3D model of the 100,000-ton mothership.
Academician Li Zhengyang stood beside him, staring at the newly appeared structural lines on the screen.
"Chief Engineer Su, how do we solve the turbulence problem?" Academician Li Zhengyang asked.
"Blocking is not as good as channeling." Su Che hit Enter, and four massive vertical through-holes appeared at the bottom of the model. "We will create force field ducts around the hull to suck in the airflow rebounding from the ground effect, and redistribute it through guide vanes. Combined with the Anti-gravity field, this will form a stable aerodynamic protective shield around the mothership."
Academician Li Zhengyang leaned closer to the screen.
"Converting the turbulence that destroys lift into auxiliary force for stabilizing attitude?" Academician Li Zhengyang understood the blueprints. "But this requires the guide vanes inside the ducts to possess extremely high toughness and heat resistance, and the curvature precision must reach the nanometer level, otherwise the airflow will become turbulent."
Lin Waner walked over from the side door of the hall and placed a silver-white metal cylinder on the console.
A portable smart milk tea machine.
She pressed the top switch, and the micro-solenoid valve operated quietly. Ten seconds later, she poured a cup of black tea and pushed it to Su Che's side.
"Half sugar, warm," Lin Waner said.
Su Che picked up the cup and took a sip.
Qin Lan approached with a tactical tablet.
"Consultant Su, a report on the infrastructure progress of Su Family Village." Qin Lan opened a spreadsheet. "The roadbed for the two-way four-lane road has been laid, and asphalt pouring is underway. The quantum base station will complete networking this afternoon, and the main structure of the medical station has been topped off."
Su Che put down his teacup.
"Did my old man say anything?" Su Che asked.
"Old Master Su said the road was built too wide, and his chickens get lost easily when crossing the road." Qin Lan put away the tablet.
The blast door of the hall was pushed open, and Jiang Yingxue strode in.
She was wearing a black trench coat, her combat boots were stained with mud, and she was carrying a heavy black military suitcase.
She hadn't been seen for over half a month, and she had lost some weight.
"You're back," Su Che said.
"The core technology databases of thirty-four signatory countries have been completely emptied." Jiang Yingxue threw the suitcase onto the console, making a dull thud. "Including the special metallurgy data of Sakura Country and the aviation material reserve list of the Eagle's overseas bases."
Jiang Yingxue pulled out a chair and sat down, unscrewing a bottle of mineral water and downing half of it.
"You've been running all over the globe for the past half month, and this is all you brought back?" Su Che looked at the suitcase.
"I scavenged according to your list." Jiang Yingxue wiped the water from her chin. "The rare alloys and special material samples handed over by various countries total 147 types. Among them, 3,000 tons of special titanium-aluminum compounds have been loaded onto ships bound for Jingang and will arrive tomorrow morning."
Academician Li Zhengyang stood by, listening in a daze.
The treatment of a victorious nation is simply treating others' strategic reserves as raw materials.
"We have the materials, but processing is a problem." Su Che pulled up the 3D blueprints of the duct guide vanes. "The curvature of this thing requires nanometer-level precision; the five-axis machine tools here at Pangu Quantum Computer cannot handle it."
"Need to bring in new equipment?" Qin Lan asked.
"No need." Su Che entered a long string of code into the terminal. "We have something ready."
He connected to the dedicated line of Kaitian Base in the northwest suburbs of the capital.
The surveillance footage of Workshop No. 3 at Kaitian Base popped up on the screen; a silver-gray behemoth was floating silently in the center of the workshop, its surface without a single gap.
"Zhulong," Su Che hit the Enter key. "Remote takeover."
In the surveillance footage, Zhulong's quantum force field expanded instantly, the transparent field rotating slowly within the workshop.
"Take the titanium-aluminum compounds arriving tomorrow directly to Kaitian Base." Su Che looked at Qin Lan. "I will remotely control Zhulong from here at Pangu Quantum Computer to perform atomic-level 'growth'."
Qin Lan immediately arranged the transport route on her tablet.
Su Che imported the parameters of the duct guide vanes into Zhulong's control terminal.
"Academician Li," Su Che turned his head. "I'll leave the assembly of the duct components to you. The nozzles of the seventy-two engines must seamlessly connect with the duct airflow control module."
"No problem," Academician Li Zhengyang agreed loudly.
The old academician turned and walked toward the testing area, calling for the researchers in the propulsion team to start dismantling the existing tooling fixtures.
Jiang Yingxue opened the suitcase, took out an encrypted hard drive, and plugged it into Su Che's terminal.
"There's one more thing you need to see," Jiang Yingxue tapped the desktop.
A partial scanned document popped up on the screen.
"This was dug out of one of the Eagle's overseas secret servers." Jiang Yingxue pointed to a line of code on the document. "Before Adam died, he transmitted a portion of the underlying radiation data regarding the 'apocalypse fragment' here."
Su Che stared at that line of data.
The Yiren AI Core automatically popped up the analysis results.
"Warning: This radiation data exhibits resonance with an unknown gravitational wave frequency band at the edge of the Solar System."
Su Che's fingers froze on the keyboard.
Below the document, a series of complex waveforms were slowly fluctuating. This did not belong to any known physical model on Earth.
"When Adam detonated the fragment in the Atacama Desert, the high-dimensional quantum state transition signal generated was transmitted out," Su Che looked at the waveform.
"Transmitted to whom?" Qin Lan took two steps closer.
"Transmitted to the true owner of the fragment," Su Che pulled up the Yiren AI's star chart calculation. "the observer at the edge of the Solar System has received the precise coordinates."
The noise of the equipment in the hall was still loud, but the atmosphere in front of the console dropped to freezing point.
"Three-year countdown," Su Che entered a command on the terminal, moving the red warning that had been hanging in the background for a long time to the center of the main screen. "It might not even take three years."
He looked at Qin Lan. "Notify Dean Liu Huaqiang that the computing power allocation of the Yiren AI Core for the command and control system is to be readjusted. Eighty percent will be used for the comprehensive scheduling of the 100,000-ton mothership, and the remaining twenty percent will be used for 24/7 monitoring of gravitational wave anomalies at the edge of the Solar System."
Qin Lan nodded and quickly issued the command on the terminal.
Su Che withdrew his gaze.
"The guide vanes will start 'growing' tomorrow," Su Che said to Academician Li Zhengyang. "Within five days, I want to see the force field duct composite takeoff and landing structure formed on the test bench."
"Five days?" Academician Li Zhengyang calculated the workload. "The assembly precision requirements are extremely high; the time is too tight."
"It must be done," Su Che's tone was firm. "The guest in the sky has left early; we cannot afford to not even have our threshold repaired."
Academician Li Zhengyang didn't say anything more and turned to run towards the testing area.
Jiang Yingxue leaned back in her chair, watching Su Che.
"How should the resources from the signatory countries be allocated?" Jiang Yingxue asked.
"Throw the conventional technical data to the Chinese Academy of Sciences and let them digest it." Su Che pulled over the keyboard. "Anything involving high-end materials should be shipped to Pangu Laboratory. The 100,000-ton mothership is a money pit; all resources on Earth are now under our allocation."
Lin Waner took away the empty milk tea cup.
"What do you want to eat tonight?" Lin Waner asked.
"Anything," Su Che stared intently at the screen.
"Then it's spare ribs," Lin Waner said, walking out with the cup.
Su Che's gaze returned to the partial scanned document—a high-dimensional cleanup program, the gods in the eyes of Earthlings.
