18: Chapter 18 Space Debris? Dad Steps on Another Sonic Boom, and the Whole Village Is in Chaos!

Su Che lunged forward with a giant stride and leaped directly onto the back of the truck.

Like a mouse that had fallen into a rice vat, his face was filled with uncontrollable ecstasy.

First, he hugged the rusty, strange-looking water pump, his fingers quickly tracing the complex pipes and valves on it.

"A hybrid of centrifugal and axial-flow... No, there are also traces of electromagnetic fluid drive... This thing isn't for pumping water, it's a cooling pump! It's used for large-scale equipment!"

Then he picked up a metal blade with a strange curvature, larger than his own face.

The edges of the blade were smooth, yet it was covered in tiny marks that looked like they had been scorched by high temperatures.

"Single-crystal turbine blades... and they're directionally solidified! This is a fucking component from an aero-engine!"

Su Che's hands were trembling.

Just one of these pieces was valuable enough to buy a house in town!

Now, it was thrown in front of him like a pile of junk.

"Che'er! Have you lost your mind? Get the hell down here! That's all junk, be careful not to cut your hands!"

Su Pingan was stomping his feet in anxiety below, wanting to go up and drag his son down.

Captain Li Jun reached out to stop him.

"Uncle, let him look."

Captain Li Jun's expression was somewhat complicated.

He watched Su Che gesticulating wildly with joy in the "pile of junk," looking like a child who had just received his favorite toy.

Yet every single piece of this "toy" had once been a part of a vital national asset.

"Comrade Su Che!"

Captain Li Jun cleared his throat, interrupting Su Che's "treasure hunting" time.

Su Che looked up, still holding the precious blade in his arms, with a look of impatience on his face.

"What is it?"

"Regarding that technology... the higher-ups attach great importance to it. We need a detailed technical document for evaluation and filing."

Captain Li Jun spoke in a meticulous and serious manner, full of official formality.

"No big deal, wait a moment."

Su Che jumped down from the truck and casually tossed the priceless blade into a corner of the yard, his movement as careless as throwing a brick.

Captain Li Jun's eyelids twitched at the sight.

"Xiao Hao! Tear out a page from your finished exercise book for me!"

Su Che shouted toward the house.

Su Hao ran out eagerly and handed over a sheet of lined homework paper.

Su Che took the paper, fished a greasy ballpoint pen out of his pocket, and without even looking for a table, leaned directly on the truck's tailgate and began to scribble furiously.

Captain Li Jun leaned in to take a look.

There were no lengthy explanations of principles, nor any dense circuit diagrams.

On the paper, there were only three simple mathematical formulas and a crude schematic diagram drawn with scribbled lines, looking like two circles connected by a string.

[ΔE × Δt ≥ h/4π]

[|ψ> = α|0> + β|1>]

[E = mc²]

Just this little bit of stuff?

Captain Li Jun was dumbfounded.

Although he wasn't a physicist, he still had some basic knowledge.

"The first is Heisenberg's uncertainty principle, the second is the superposition of qubits, and the third... the third is fucking Einstein's mass-energy equivalence equation!"

What the hell does this have to do with a router?

"Here, take it."

After finishing, Su Che blew on the wet ink and stuffed the paper into Captain Li Jun's hand.

"The core is just this. One is responsible for energy, one for state, and one for information. The rest is just stacking parts. Got it?"

Holding that flimsy piece of homework paper, which even carried the faint smell of an elementary schooler's sweat, Captain Li Jun felt his hand grow as heavy as a thousand pounds.

He felt as though he wasn't holding a sheet of paper,

but a key that could open the door to a new world.

Meanwhile, the owner of this key was currently brushing the dust off his hands, urging his elite soldiers.

"Hey, hey, hey, guys, give me a hand! Move all these treasures into the yard! Be gentle! Don't bump or scratch them!"

...

The next day, Su Pingan was going to town to deliver a batch of freshly picked tangerines.

He walked to the entrance of the yard and looked at the brand-new wuling hongguang, still feeling a bit apprehensive.

He hesitated for a long time, but finally gritted his teeth and climbed into the driver's cab.

"It shouldn't... make such a huge racket anymore, right?"

He muttered softly to himself and turned the key.

"Hum—"

A faint sound of electric current hummed.

Su Pingan breathed a sigh of relief.

Thank goodness, thank goodness. It was different from yesterday.

He shifted into first gear and gently stepped on the accelerator.

"BOOM—!!!!!"

That familiar, ear-splitting sonic boom exploded once again!

A wave of scorching air, centered on the wuling hongguang, swept violently across the entire yard!

Su Pingan felt as if a bomb had exploded right under his butt, and he was pinned firmly to his seat by a massive force!

With a "whoosh," the car shot forward!

In the yard, the bamboo poles that Su Che had just set up to dry cured meat were blown high into the sky by the blast of air.

Next door, the chicken coop that Auntie Wang had just built yesterday collapsed with a loud crash, and several egg-laying hens flew around in panic, leaving feathers scattered all over the ground.

Auntie Wang rushed out of the outhouse while pulling up her pants. Seeing this scene, she sat flat on the ground, slapping her thighs and wailing.

The wuling hongguang sped a hundred meters down the village road before Su Pingan finally regained control of the vehicle and slammed on the brakes.

He pushed open the car door and stepped down, his face deathly pale and his legs shaking.

Looking at the messy yard and hearing Auntie Wang's crying and cursing next door, a rush of blood went straight to his head.

He turned and rushed into the kitchen, grabbed a carrying pole used for baskets, and stormed aggressively toward Su Che, who was currently tinkering with those "divine treasures" in his workshop.

"Su Che! You little bastard! Get the hell out here!"

Su Che poked his head out.

"What's wrong, Dad? Doesn't the car have plenty of power?"

"Plenty of power?!"

Su Pingan trembled with rage, swinging the carrying pole to point at him.

"I'm going to town to haul tangerines, not to fly a fucking fighter jet!"

"Look! Look outside! You blew Auntie Wang's chicken coop into the sky! The eggs her hens lay today will probably be soft-shelled!"

Su Che looked at his furious father, scratched his head, and put on an innocent face.

"Isn't it just a bit too loud? No big deal."

He turned around and picked up a black, square tile full of honeycomb-like holes from the pile of "high-grade waste."

It was a heat-shielding tile dismantled from an aircraft engine's combustion chamber. It could withstand temperatures of several thousand degrees and had an extremely strong sound-absorption effect.

"Dad, don't worry."

Su Che weighed the tile in his hand and grinned.

"I'll install a 'muffler' on it."

"I guarantee that when it starts up in the future, it'll be quieter than a tractor."
